Hope you enjoy them, Kerrie!!![glow=red,2,300]GAIL ;D[/glow] Thanks Gail. I hope I enjoy them too. Unfortunately I work tonight and have to study this afternnon so I won't get to see them until tomorrow night (honourary chocolate night for the occassion). I think I will probably watch them, write down my thoughts and then read what everyone else has to say in the relevant threads. If I have anything new to contibute I will post it Saturday (Friday evening in the USA).

LParish I am surprised that you would say that!!! Hollywood? exploitative!! They are so not!! They would never exploit an actor because he has an attractive body. That would be just....wrong! ;D Once again, the idiot forgot to log in . stupid much? makd

I was VERY suprised by this margin. I figured Lee would have voted at least 5000 times. ;D Guess the JM fans are just more Fanatic. I tried voting more than on from home and work, but it wouldn't allow me to.

Ha! Doesn't surprise me a bit. Look at the Cast & Crew links on Buffyguide sometime. James Marsters/Spike has 18 sites listed (including ours, that's how I originally came to it). [glow=red,2,300]18[/glow] - compared to SMG's 13, and DB's 7. ;D

Chapter 8 of The Blood Is the Life is off to the sites. It will probably show up at AAS tomorrow, and the others in a few days.

I posted some excerpts from it that related to Angel this season. There wasn't much, just 3 questions, but they are posted now on the spoiler board.

I tried voting more than on from home and work, but it wouldn't allow me to. Don't worry about it, hon. I voted for Angel, too. Nothin' against Blondie, he's cool and all. It's just...me and Angel, we go back, ya know? Where the hell are you people, by the way? I come in after a patrol that was so boring I almost slip back into my coma, thinkin' I could at least kick it in here with you guys. Turns out everybody's in bed. What a buncha old farts. Now I'm gonna have to run over to Sorenson's place and wake his sorry ass up. If he's pissy with y'all for the next couple of days you got nobody to blame but yourselves. Out.

"Sacred" calling my ass. Cheap way to hang onto their money. I'm truly surprised they had any female watchers at all. I'm equally surprised now that you've got me thinking about it. Was the woman who wrote her thesis on Spike ("Checkpoint," I think) a Watcher or just some Council administrative assistant? She certainly had the repressed female look down pat. The scarcity of women in positions of power within the organization suggests to me that the Council is at best patriarchal and at worst misogynist. There certainly were no women around the First Watchers' campfire. We know Faith's Watcher, killed by Kakistos, was female but we're given no other information about her. The most assertive female Watcher we see at length is Gwendolyn Post. And she was crazy! Maybe she went to the Dark Side because she couldn't stand being treated like a second-class citizen anymore.

I'm really a baseball girl at heart but: Hey! How about those Chiefs? 7-0 and a goal line stand - not too shabby. This would make them the only undefeated team in the NFL along with (drumroll, please) Rob's Vikings. Now, does anyone want to hear about the Bangladeshi cricket test match that's all the news over here ?

For anyone interested, Sideshow Toy has announced that the first 500 people to pre-order the 12-inch Spike doll will get an extra set of hands -- gloveless ones with the fingernails painted black. And in the event you missed it, we figure out the reason the doll comes mainly with gloved hands is because the figure is specifically from "What's My Line", when Spike had to wear gloves to handle the Cross of du Lac to save Drusilla (the cross is included with the doll).
