Gail (and Diane and Deb) I guess I should clarify that the board isn't totally anti-Spike. There were people there defending him but nothing was getting through. They were saying stuff like "Did you see how that perverted rapist snuck into Fred's bathroom to watch her take a shower? His soul hasn't changed him a bit" There is one particular poster that hates him so much, yet every single post she makes is about him. I also read in a livejournal the other day about a site that not only rants on Spike but on JM himself. The livejournal user said she tried to calmly talk to the posters but finally gave up. She gave a link but there was no way I was going there if I wanted to sleep that night. I don't know if I should put the sites name up. I don't even know how to respond to that. A stmt like that is better ignored than dignifying with a response. But it does make me seethe inside.

On that note, I've been discussing this season with a friend, and she's made an observation. It seems as if all of the FG (with the exception of Gunn for obvious reasons) have somewhat reverted to their pre-season 4 personas. Wesley is more in the background and not as bad-ass, Lorne seems more like the Host of Season 2, and although Fred is more assertive, she seems more like the Fred we saw in Spin the Bottle. Maybe this is because for the characters, season 4 never happened, so we don't see them in familiar roles. I have noticed how different the characters are from last season and your friend had an interesting take on that.

Well, I don't think it would be violating any web etiquette to name it here. would it? Screw etiquette! I'm all for naming names! (which has gotten me into online trouble before, so maybe I should change that! LOL!).

In thinking about last night's ep - still loving the whole Spike/Angel on the couch. And the reaching out by Angel to Spike about Spike's poetry? Also about time Spike reached out to Angel. It works both ways. In the 4 years Angel has been on the air, never seen him watch or refer to a tv show. I just done't see him as they type. I see him more as sitting and listening to some classical music and reading some philosphy book. Even in the A/S fan fic I read, that is one of Spike's biggest complaints . . . do tv, no cable, no satellite, and no good rock 'n roll music.

To expend that kind of energy being constantly negative about a fictional character . . . and even letting it spill onto an actor, a human being you don't know at all. . . well - not good. I hope people aren't wasting too much energy replying to someone like that. He/she isn't going to be reachable through a posting board but needs mega-sessions with Holden Webster. Gail mentioned a place to send a message to the WB - I haven't checked it all out, but I have seen the posting board there and it is no great shakes at all. I remember feeling kind of exasperated at the level of discourse. There may be a place for feedback besides that message board though - don't know.

Hi,Everyone! And, questions about how Spike would know about BM? Easy: he's been listening to conversations for months at W&H; he's been visiting Angel's apartment and reviewing all the treasures there. I'm sure he would've loved to see the Clash, the Ramones, Billy Idol, and the Sex Pistols on CD there - but knew there'd be Mantovani, BM, and probably an "edgy" Michael Bolton. Jeesh. Angel has terrible musical taste and terrible taste in poetry. That he can read Sartre, but listen to Manilow? He is truly a complicated guy. ;D Wonder what Angel's favorite TV show would be? Wonder what Spike's favorite TV show would be - except for Passions? ahh.. Monty Python, right? okay... quiet now. Maybe Spike knew about the Manilowmania from Faith. Also, Angel did once talk about liking (or at least watching) Bonanza. Spike would have been a Young Ones fan, for sure. Shanno

oops, channeling Angelus again.[glow=red,2,300]GAIL [/glow] Why, thanky for the kind welcome. I'm sort of a hybrid "n'ubie." An old carryover from the WBScoop days. I actually registered here back in early summer, but then sort of drifted away from the boards during the summer break. Nice to see the new format, though it is taking some adjusting. I must take exception to the insinuation that I taste like chicken - I'm quite sure I'm more turkey-ish.

[glow=red,2,300]GAIL [/glow] Not a problem Gail. I go there and read the board, but I find most if not all the posters quite ridiculous and figure they all must be about 13.

I don't even know how to respond to that. A stmt like that is better ignored than dignifying with a response. But it does make me seethe inside. Still seething as I type. I didn't want to name the site for the sole reason that there may be lurkers here who post there. I didn't want them going back and saying mean ol' things about us. I may talk tough, but I'm really a wimp

Now, why is it that my two sad little lonely posts have disappeared? I know there was some sort of glitch, and it's apparently been fixed now, but I've gone back and looked and don't see me anywhere. I was sort of hoping someone would have SOMETHING to say about my theory about Reaper really being Sahjahn - even if it was just to tell me I'm nuts! Jax, The actor seemed familiar to me but I didn't see the Angel season with Sahjahn so I can't comment. However, I do acknowledge and appreciate your existence and participation--please do not become "Invisible Guy."

Yes you are right John. Sajahn was just pretending to have a beef with Angel. That's why Angel couldn't place him. Apparently in Sajahn's time/dimension, The Destroyer (Connor) kills him. So Sajahn came back to this Dimension to take care of him here, so he planted that false prophecy about "the father will kill the son", thus starting the domino affect that which was Season 3, bring Holtz forward, and leading to Angel being sunk to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. D'oh! My bad. I forgot that Sahjahn's motives were ultimately explained. Phooey - and I so liked my theory of evil astral projection/time/dimension traveling by Reaper.

I remember Spike using that term. I assume English slang? Anyone know where it's from/what it's American translation would be? I think it would be the all-purpose "honey" that some waitresses use.
