Just hit him next time. That's my solution. My mother likes to tease me about the shows - she'll call and say "I just saw this new show. I think you would like it. Oh wait, no you wouldn't. It doesn't have vampires in it. HA HA HA HA." Yeah, feeling the love there, mom. Seems about right to me. No Spike... No Angel...No Use Watching!

Zoinks! Sure you wanna do this John? I think there was some kind of castration involved. What? I didn't read that in the papers! No Heaven's Gate for me then!

Mom, sister, ex-boyfriend (we actually got together, post-breakup AND me having to fly 800 miles to do it to watch the last month's worth of eps in one sitting). My dad and brother-in-law are still resisting, but neither has the chutzpah to make with the fun. My usual method is to just kinda have it playing in the background while they're doing something else. Next thing you know, boyfriend has moved from computer to couch to watch Xander be on the swim team, or little sis is crying her eyes out over Buffy's mom, who she knows nothing about. And my not-quite-three-year-old neice says "Grr, argh" and "Bored now". And also makes sure to tell me about the time that Buffy was crying in the window. Camille (my neice) actually gets up and leaves her toys when she hears the Buffy theme song playing. Runs in to the living room shouting "Grr, argh!" Oh, and good morning, all!

Xavier will stand directly in front of the TV and dance like a fool when the Nerf Herder theme comes on. I love it! So funny. Unfortunately, I haven't found many people open to be converted. I have friends who I know would love the show, because they're intelligent enough to get it, but they just wont get past the title. I actually made a bet with a former co-worker that if I made him watch all of Season 2, he'd be a fan by the end. But we never followed up on it.

Diane Said: "I always suspected something reptilian about you Shan'. You unhinge your jaw, don't you?"
Was it the social skills that gave the reptilian thing away?
Cuz, other than with food, I don't *ever* get the chance to do that thing with my jaw :::sob:::

I'm sad for you, Shanno. I would have thought such a talent would make you enormously popular! Yes, well, I've been under the same contract for the past 15 years. It wasn't included in the original and I can't ever see there being an addendum. Ah, well.

I have tried having it on in the background, but it never works. I was watching Becoming 1&2 at my mom's one time and I thought, surely, this will get her interested, but she fell asleep half-way through. I think those two episodes are epic and I can't understand why no one would want to stay awake and find out what happens. What is wrong with people?!

you mean your supercool internet friends. While we're all hunting superlatives, My very geeky-cool daughter is using "xylophone" for "cool", to see if she can get it to catch on at her high school. It's a Lemony Snicket joke. So, hi, all you super-xylophone internet people!

Gwen Raiden (aka Electrogirl) from 4x02 "Ground State" Thanks (and Erin, too). I think I saw a bit from that one. She touched Angel and made his heart beat for a second or something. I didn't remember what she looked like.
