Welcome to the Soulful Spike Society Posting Board. Bring your chatter about Buffy, Spike, Angel and their friends and foes here - discuss, debate, agree, disagree, but keep it friendly. Remember to visit our website at www.soulfulspike.com for fanfiction, poetry, pictures of note, member profiles, articles and more. Check out this week's picture of the week contest, Nerd Alert, and By the Numbers...now go forth and multiply those posts!
Board Disclaimer(s):
All arriving spoils should be taken to the Angel Spoilers board so that all the spoiler whores have something to devour and can commence in mocking us with their superior episode knowledge while us spoiler phobics live in happy ignorance. Thanks!
This is a wide-open board comprised of intelligent adults. Sometimes things get a little rowdy, and that's usually fun. However, let's keep the level of discourse, in terms of any hot-button topics or crude language, to what would be appropriate to a group of friendly acquaintances of various genders traveling together on a cross-country bus with the intention of enjoying the ride and each others' company.

Now let's see if I can make it 3-in-a-row.
Piper screamed about an hour ago and when I got to her I realized Jasmine (the cat) had slapped at her face. She had blood pooling up in the corner of her eye and I just about lost it. Brad grabbed her and after about 5 minutes of examining it, decided it wasn't her eyeball. She had blood all down her sleeper and all over Brad's shirt. Scared the crap out of me.

I didn't want this to be passed over at the end of a part. I like it very much, although there seems to be an extra syllable in the third line and three too few in the second line. Haiku are supposed to go 5-7-5 syllables, with a turn of some kind between the second and third lines, which this one has. In conception, it's a haiku; in form, it's a bit thin in one place, and a tiny bit fat in another. Easily forgivable among friends! A good beginning! Nan, did you read my haiku? Was it ok? Nobody said they liked mine. Now I feel all lonely and stuff. I'm such a praise whore, I know!! Because it's all about me, baby!

I couldn't quite remember the rules just the overall syllables. I should have just stuck with my "I'm not a poet" poem and skipped the haiku, but it was fun playing with words. So thanks for the lesson, maybe I'll try again someday. Wendy

One whines a lot but lets me, the other one hates when I trim his nails. Luckily, he doesn't use them on me or my dad. I'm just lucky to have two even-tempered(mostly) cats. Does the cat not like the little one or was it in a cranky mood?

I just made a rhyme without even trying! I WAS going to say that my poetry sucks, too...but after that rhyming mojo I just did...maybe I could be the next Jewel! What do you think?

Kisses to Piper (and mama).
