It seems I've procrastinated the workday away, and now that I'm really on a posting spree it seems I'll have to log off. I have to get to the vets for cat food before they close.
Rats!

<- is giddy. I hope you don't mind, Nan, but I've been spreading your words of wisdom (and all the other goodness that is S3) to the group I watch Buffy/Angel with. Lineage from last week brought a bright spot to what was otherwise a very bad, very late night at work. Thanks for the welcome, Micha ...and here I thought flounder was a fish... ;D Well, neat-o, jdarksun! You're all the more welcome for knowing I am the sole fountainhead of wisdom here. (BACK, Spring! BACK, I say! You too, Len, Dave, makd, Karen, and...and...and...) Do spread the word: we got neat people and neat ideas here. I wonder: do we now have as many newbies as ScoopMe refugees? Anybody know?

HA! I just noticed your "L". Too funny. Good going Rae. M Thanks - I just added it so that'd be why you just noticed it. Maybe I'll just be EveL Rae... then I wouldn't confuse people so much with the name changes. 'Cept, you know I'll just keep doing it. Must be all the personalities floating around in my noggin.

They have REALLY good ribs at the Ironworks (or some similar name) BBQ restaurant in Austin. mmmmm...ribs.... Yeah--The Ironworks is pretty good, but if you're not in the mood for BBQ, I can recommend a lot of other great restaurants in Austin--IM me.

I pronounce them both the same way, but I have no idea whether that's correct or not. I did the æ with a DOS control character (I have a manual with tables), if that helps any. On my keyboard, you have to hold down the ALT key while keying in 145 on the number keypad. That seems to depend on the keyboard, because the manual says to hold down the Ctrl key. Computers! I don't really understand them, but I can follow written instructions. Another option, if you know how to create special characters in your word processor (i.e., Word or WordPerfect) is to create the text in your word processor with the special characters, then copy and paste it into here. The special characters will carry over intact when copied-and-pasted. Funky fonts won't, but the characters will.

My first impression was *the battle of the Titans". Loved it. Also, it was discussed previously...did the early label of Mountain Dew have a lightening bolt on it? I've asked around and nobody can remember. I posted something about this way back in Part 71, I think. The old Mt. Dew bottles had a picture of a hillbilly sippin' from his jug of homebrew, which is also called White Lightning.

Ahem. . .by this, are you implying that the masculine perspective equates with that of the Devil? Hey, if we're going to divide the board based on gender, I want to be on the side with all the estrogen. More perks over there .... I told you before, in the battle between the sexes, I defected to the other side around puberty. Rob, Vlad, ctowner, James, all you guys, you're great and I love you all, but ain't a one of you got anything I want and don't already have. The ladies on the other hand ....

Oh Dave, this reminded me of something I was going to comment on the other night. When Angelus tells William they are going to be good friends and they start laughing, it immediately reminded me of Dr. Evil and his minions laughing at his plan to cover the earth in liquid hot magma. It just struck me funny. Oh, if only their laughing had gone on for 10 minutes ....

Oh, if only their laughing had gone on for 10 minutes .... OK, you got me with the basic *huh*? Why ten minutes? Is it dirty? Is oil required?

Since I'll be in Austin attending a hockey tournament (don't ask) all weekend, I'm wishing you this 'happy' now! And again I say - I'll be gone all weekend people, so Dave, it's all in your hands! Good luck! Gosh, they're all going away and leaving me in charge. **I've got the power! (boom, boom, chicka-boom, boom)** But the sad thing is, I plan to spend a good portion of this weekend in bed, keeping my strength up so I can be as healthy as possible when Thanksgiving gets here. Which means the inmates may very well be running this asylum for a while. But then, why should it be any different than any other day of the week, methinks ....

For anyone who's interested, I just saw a demon rummaging around with a mark on its forehead that looked remarkably like that one on Nan's shoulder; you know, in her calendar, the picture of her at October. Coincidence? Should we be concerned?
