The back pain CAN'T be from the weight loss! Must be from the tree carrying! Heat...hot showers directed on the pain, advil, bend from the knees, don't lift anything til you are better, and go to the doctor (I know, not a home remedy, but if you ruptured a disc, as I did lifting too much stage equipment a few years ago, you will need more than advil...you might need physical therapy. I can help with the physical therapy. Oh wait, she didn't mean it that way......

Congrats to both of you! I also lost over the week, but don't recommend my latest method - Undercoooking the turkey and giving oneself and all the guests food poisoning. I just had my first solid food in 4 days...half a slice of ham and creamed potatoes...I hope it stays awhile... and I see I've got another disease ...my very own case of Patti-itis...haven't experienced that in awhile. Well, that's not good. Too bad the undercooking put a *cramp* in your Thanksgiving. As Rae says, ducking the flying tomatoes and potatos - couldn't help myself. Seriously, food poisoning is miserable to go through. Sorry it happened to you and your guests.

A long long time ago before the season started, Betsy posted some great pictures from Conviction to the Spoiled Souls thread. Those pictures aren't spoilers anymore but they are still just as great, so I've reposted them to the Picture thread. There are 10 of them, 2 per post.

[quote author=Sue l ink=board=generalAnd, speaking of families. I love my kids... but how can two college kids make the house look like a battalion of marines has moved in? And, really, is there anyone else on this earth (outside of an infant or infantile aging parent) more incredibly self-centered (as in unaware of the rest of the universe) as a college student??? I'm planning on working on my passive-aggressive issues and resorting to just plain: "Get in here and clean up after yourself" over the Christmas holidays!
Sue[/quote]
Sue, I used to think that infants were the most self-centered creatures on earth, but I've come to the conclusion that male college students are worse. If I figure a way to have the Initiative come over and chip them so that they have pain when they are inconsiderate, I'd be a multimillionaire.

[glow=green,2,300]Happy December 1st Everyone!![/glow] Well I've been gone so I didn't get to wish everyone a safe and happy thanksgiving. I hope we all enjoyed it So... did I miss anything good? *grins* Ok, just kidding. I was actually lurking when I could and I know that I missed some great stuff. I missed all my fellow S'cubies and I'm glad to be back! Of course, that could have something to do with being stuck in a house with 4 kids for the past 2 weeks. (See my new avatar for examples of how they kept busy with me... my toenails were pretty that day too.) *winks* I'm off to try and catch up on what I missed. Hi Rae!! Great to have you back! I missed you while you were gone. Of course, I was gone myself for about a week (damn you, Bellsouth) but I did miss you during that week. Along with all the other S'cubies. (Damn you again, Bellsouth!) I love the new avatar! I come away looking like a circus clown when I spend time with my friends' children. Who knew that bright red and bright yellow eyeshadow was the new thing?

Yay! It's hard being silly and random all alone. . . . Oh, it will be so nice to get back into the random, silly swing of things! Here's one - I taped The OC this past week and watched it this weekend. The guy playing the history teacher was the vampire who tortured Angel in "In the Dark." All I could think while watching this guy on screen was, "Run Seth! Run Ryan! Stay away from him! He likes children, RUN!!!" Me being me, I actually yelled that at the TV. Not once but twice.
