Absolutely not. Buffy sleeping with Xander and Faith was meant to be sweet more than anything else....and to demonstrate how much they trust one another. No serious underpinnings at all were intended. In my younger days, I have slept in the same bed with platonic female friends. It wasn't an issue at all. Buffy wouldn't have even considered doing it if she thought there would be a serious problem....and she is clearly correct. It was just meant to set up a cute and cuddly moment at the beginning of Chapter 20...nothing more. In my story, Buffy and Faith's competitive issues are long gone...outside of the occasional playful banter of who the better fighter is, and that's natural for people of their aggressive personalities. They're friends first, however...and it will remain that way for the balance of this installment. There's a ton of action coming soon, Kerrie. Less silly stuff is on the way. I promise. I know I am being annoying by not letting this go, but how many sexually involved couples have you slept with? Sleeping platonically with opposite or even same sex friends is one thing, but sleeping with a passionate couple . . . I don't know. It seems wrong. For me I would sleep platonically with any friend, but I wouldn't let them share a bed with my husband and myself. If nothing else it would stop me having sex with my husband and that would be inconsiderate to a level that Buffy is not.

Jumps up and down with excitement. It was inaccurate: I'm not pretty - I'll send you a picture and next time you can make the relevant changes. ;D Except there probably won't be a next time. Can't I be an extra like Jonathon?

Thanks, Nicki. It's always great to hear feedback. About those chapter titles....I'd love to take credit for them, but alas....I cannot. Those belong to a certain vamp who posts my work on the site. In a sense, I guess it could be said that Vlad is my co-author. I hope he reads this post...he'll be delighted to hear that people like his little creations. I've often said this, but I cannot say it enough. Without Vlad, there are no stories. He was incredibly supportive from the beginning, and gave me the confidence to keep writing. So thanks, Nicki, for giving the ole' technopagan an unintentional shout out. He deserves it. Let me be the first to say, that without Rob's so-so stories that my cute succinct little word-plays wouldn't be quite as good as they are *wink* Of course I am kidding! Rob is a fantastic writer and I would read his stories even if I wasn't forced in order to post them. I really like his take on all the characters. I think he voices them perfectly and sometimes after reading I really feel like I jsut watched an episode of BtVS. I agree that Rob's first tale isn't as good as number 2 or 3...but, unlike him, I think the first was good, while hte next two have been absolutely marvelous. And I am glad to see that he is finally accepting some of the adulation being heaped on him. Rob, you deserve every kind word! Rob's co-author? *squints* Yeah, tell the truth, Rob! you jsut want help signing the novel versions at the Barnes and Nobles, don't you! Nicki.. he writes ever single word. All I do is.. introduce them. I'm kinda like the guy on the back of the novel.. the one that gives the blurb. That's it...I am the "blurb man". Honestly, all I do is convert Rob's submissions into html, change the font over to.....*drum roll* "Secret Service Typewriter" (I don't even think Rob knew the name of his special font *L*) and change all his < thought sentences into italics.> Then I have to think of somethign cute to say using the word "Truth" or "Line or "Angle" that actually refers back to the story without giving the plot away.. It's such a tough gig! *rolls his eyes* But I am glad you enjoy the little intro sentences, Nicki. Sometimes i think of them before i finish reading the story...other times I have to sit there and think and think *L* So, stay tuned forthe wonderful writing team of Rob and Vlad... we could be the next Matt and Ben. Hey Rob, I had this idea about a story where Xander is moonlighting as a janitor at a college to help make ends meet (after he and Willow lose their construction company when they fail to live up to that stadium bid becasue they are fighting the CoW)....anyway... its there at this university that a professor is astounded at the innate intelligence represented by Xander when he solves the problem of perpetual motion using a bowling ball and a french fry with a toothpick...its a character study of a fish out of water (we could incorporate the Speedos from season 2 again) and him trying to discover his own true worth. What do you think? Would it sell? Vlad, TA, tp, "blurb man"

Rob, I'm waiting to take home and read Chapter 22 (printing as I type) before I comment. So many chapters, not enough time. Enjoying it tho.
P.S.: 25 pages?! Well, yay on the one hand, but how do you do it? (Redundant, comment.) I have productivity envy of both you and Nan.

What do you think? Would it sell? Vlad, TA, tp, "blurb man" Huh. That plot idea is fascinating. Micha would particularly like this. We would need a wacky comedian to play a key role as Xander's therapist; who talks him through all the abuse he's suffered. It just so happens that I have the home phone number of one Mr. Bobcat Goldthwait. This is just the project he's looking for to catapault him to Oscar territory. The guy came THIS close with "One Crazy Summer," and "Police Academy 3." I can definitely see the possibilities here. In all seriousness, thank you for the special font. I had no idea. Plus I was flat shocked that you actually liked the first one. I always thought you were just being nice.

I'm enjoying where you're going with Triangles, especially the sudden appearance of you-know-who. I'm going to the ocean over the 4th and I'm taking your chapters with me. I've been so busy I only skimmed them and they deserve a slower read.

I am thoroughly enjoying Triangles, but it gets a little confusing because sometimes Spike is referred to as Spike, and sometimes as William. I can't seem to find the distinction (why one over the other). I wondered in S7 if he'd be using the name William when he returned w/his soul. Aside from a couple of crazed mutterings (William's a good boy.../William's a bad man...), he was (and always will) be Spike. Geez, am I the queen of the parenthetical or what?

Aside from a couple of crazed mutterings (William's a good boy.../William's a bad man...), he was (and always will) be Spike. Geez, am I the queen of the parenthetical or what? I wish I could tell you there was a method to it...but there really isn't. I just like using both names on occasion for variety. I know that's clumsy...but that's the answer. I'd like to think I use William when his tender, nurturing side is on display, which was my original intention. Unfortunately, as I got to writing it I changed the name at times without even realizing I was doing it. I regret that I don't do a better job making that distinction. I will say this...when any of the characters call him William, it means something because they're acknowledging the strides he has made since fully regaining his soul. His human name is a form of acceptance. Dawn referring to him as William in a recent chapter was supposed to be rather meaningful, for example. I'm glad you're enjoying the story, though. I hope my pointless name usage doesn't put you off too much.

Some moments of pure enjoyment:
Spike and Angel getting utterly blitzed together.
Spike.
Buffy's warm snugglies with Xander and Faith with no sex but lots of love.
Spike and Buffy.
Willow's plaintive complaint about being in a room between two horny slayers and their respective loves.
More Spike.
A hungover Spike waking up expecting to grope Buffy and finding Angel instead.
Still more Spike.
Naked teleportation.
Xander/Faith conversations, problems, resolutions, fights and making ups.
Spike/Xander relationship growth.
Dawn in everything.
Oh, and Spike.

Those are a lot of good moments. Thank you. I get the impression that you're looking for more Spike. Well, as it happens he will be making the occasional appearance in the next chapter or two. Dawn will also be around, of course. As Buffy would say, the ending of Triangles will have "chores for everyone."

Rob, I know you know I love Triangles - we talk about it all the time. But I just thought I'd give you a public fan letter. To whom it may concern, I love Triangles! I am enjoying it so much, and will HATE when it is over! Every chapter gets better and that seems almost impossible. Yea, Rob! I love the care you put into every character's development, and the intricacy of the plot, and the history behind the storyline. You have created a truly shuddery villain, and a 'place' where everything is not safe...but where there is love. You rule, Rob!

I enjoyed Truths, but Triangles is great. The drunken scene with Angel and Spike was a riot. Your charactererizations are getting better and better. We want more.

Hey! I got a cameo in Chapter 24! And I didn't even know I was in Florida! ;D
Unless that wasn't me. Maybe Rob actually knows a real person named Laura. Or maybe he meant the AAS webmistress. Sob!
Oh, well. Even if it wasn't me (and verbose as I am, I probably would be inarticulate if Spike were sweet-talking me that way!), I love the way events in Triangles are unfolding. More!
