She was the long con!
Danger of letting emotions get involved with a job.
Sawyer's situational ethics.
Kate said this before, about Sawyer trying to make people hate him. Sounds less convincing with repetition.
"You run, I con."
Hurley found a manuscript.
Radio station!!!! OMGWTF!!! Oh. But maybe it really is from nearby.
Increased the strength of the radio decreases it's effectiveness.
Sawyer recruited Charlie!! I had forgotten about him (and so did the Losties. Interesting.
I need to watch this again.
Sawyer's not a good person. Need to remain Not A Good Person to stay alive?

This is why I like Sawyer. He can do the right thing. But Gordy may be waiting for her. WOW. Did NOT expect that. Huh, no evidence that she got caught.. Hee! Kate speaks what I was thinking about his tracking skills.. Because you are a talented applied psychologist, Sawyer. Well, YEAH, on the "hating him" part. "You run; I con. A tiger don't change his stripes" Still with the self-hatred. Gotta sleep some time, Sawyer. Guns make lumpy beds. And Sawyer's probably thinking about Shannon. CFL!!! YES he heard it, if he isn't deaf from your yelling. Glenn Miller? Uh, hope that isn't the "greatest hit" of the moment. Heh.. So does Hurley. "Just kidding, dude" So why isn't Sayid smiling? Ah!!!!! Sawyer, you bloody genius. Hatred is Charlie's anti-drug. Oh SHIT. It was Charlie? GodDAMMIT. Charlie, you utter freakin' bastard. Oh, damn. So he switched the bags? No, he sent her out to die. Ah, no, he did do a bag switch. Man, but he's a magnificent bastard.. *shakes head in awe* Woohoo! Torture! Woohoo! Clock rundown!!!

Jack and Locke in the armoury, rounding up all the weapons. But did he tell Locke about building an army yet?
Well, that answers our questions about Locke telling Jack about the drugs. Bravo!
Locke is worried that things are gonna go all pear shaped on the island - that folks will try to take things.
Heeeee! "Shouldn't you be more concerned about Jack ransacking your tent."
Oooooh, evil Sawyer looks! The breakdown of civilisation begins! ;D

Wait a minute. Am I remembering wrong, or was Kate's mom named Diane? I don't remember her name being Cassie.

Ah! That explains it - we're getting Sawyer flashbacks. Wait a minute, isn't this the same flashback? Or do all his flashbacks contain a woman that he's leaving for a meeting. Oh, duh! Con artist. Of course he does this over and over. Oh, I like her!!! The lock just happens to break. It's not even real - it's newspaper. Show me what you do. Show me how to con people. So does she become his partner? Much as I'd love to learn to feather my hair. #chuckle# 10 ways to tell if he's a sensitive man. Heee! ;D Locke's got needs. #smirk# Ooooh. Sawyer was asked to join the army and Kate wasn't! Put the lime in the coconut and drink 'em both up!!!!!!! #rofl1# Spring! Norwegian plane! Your homeland calls! Oh, you soooo need cheering up, Sayid! That's the nice thing about you people. You're not scared enough. Hmmmmmm. Sorta true. You so knew he wouldn't tell you the combo, didn't you, Ana-Lucia? Look out, Sun! When it rains, the Others come! Save her, Sawyer and Kate - save her!!! How come they didn't take her? Just 'cuz they couldn't? Or was it really the Others? Or was it a message? Or was it to manipulate them into being "more scared"?

Jack - you goon! "Do we need to know?" Um, yeah!! How'd she get away? There ya go! Ask those questions, Sawyer! And by the way - how did Claire get away, way back when? Multiple groups of Others or someone on "our" team doing for their own reasons? Ooooh! Sneaky "Others" sowing suspicion? Nice con! All he's doing is selling them cheap necklaces that he got perfectly legitimately. ;D Poor Jin! Nice to see they've got things rigged up to catch rainwater. Like seeing them continue to get organized. Ah - there it is. Sowing suspicion between the two groups!

The ep seemed to be mostly about what feeling left out, and alienated and cheated can do to you, if you let it.

So - the long con. Who on the island is really doing a long con? Who isn't? Jack. You're always just so . . . non-subtle. Jin's not gonna be the only one that wants a gun. ;D Heeee! Jack on Kate's white horse, leading the charge. ;D Very successful ploy to split the island into factions. Hmmmmm. Like an behavioral experiment, eh? OK, is she running a con on Sawyer too? Oh, yeah. She's conning him big time. She's doing the exact same thing, Sawyer!!! She's pretending to have money to get you to do something and think it's your idea! You're gonna be the fall guy in this long con of hers. Well, unless you already know that and are conning her right back. He's checking the books, nimrod. Looking for more bits of tape or other info. Sawyer's right. Once the guns are out, well, they're out for good. To piss off Jack. ;D ;D ;D Move the guns! Yes! I knew they were gonna do that.

The waitress hates you, you know that, don't you? Don't you worry she's gonna do something to your food? I'll put one in your ear, James. Well. I guess he's gonna do it, then, isn't he? This close to the high score on Donkey Kong. Yer cleaned out, Jack! Smart Jin. Don't go after Sawyer, Jack, that gets you nothing! Ouch. "Another" accident. I'm taking responsibility. You idiots. You think Sawyer wouldn't figure out exactly what was going on? "You took my stuff." So of course he's gonna offer to sell them back to you. Oh, Sawyer. You always need to be the cool guy and you always end up being an asshole. ;D I mean, I love the hotness of you, but damn!

Ah! She was the long con. That's a really nice twist! I like it! I was sure it was gonna turn out she was conning him. But is the death threat also a con? Or is his partner in on it with her? That's the problem with cons - they're always sooooo convoluted. A con man always uses the weaknesses of the people he's conning. Well, duh! Of course he wants people to hate him. You rob. I con. A tiger don't change his stripes. (I always thought it was "a leopard don't change his spots".) Awwww. Hurley did get Sayid out of his funk with the transmitter project. Um. Why are they getting radio signals from the 1940's? Hurley - I love you!! "Or any time." Yes!!!!!! Ooooh. Conspirators! Aaaaaaaand it was a con. So, was the partner who threatened him in on it, or did the partner get one in his ear? I'm not a good person, Charlie. Perfect!!!! 'Cuz he's really not. Next week. Ooh! Torture! And finally someone stops pushing the damn button! Life is good again.

Oh...my...goodness. Now, that's what I'm talkin' about! Wow! I'm in love with Charlie. I'm seriously messed up. Seriously. And Sawyer - but you all knew that already. Huh. So, now we know Charlie wasn't and hasn't been using. He's got it in so bad for Locke that he was willing to put Sun in danger. Man, Jin is going to be so pissed if he finds out. Vincent. How does he figure in there?
