Welcome to Part 1081 of the Soulful Spike Society Main Thread!!! Well, we still talk around here. A lot, in fact. So much so that we needed a Website to hold all our thinky thoughts on our favorite shows and some fan fiction that will make you want to immediately call everyone you have ever known. ;D When the website can't contain all our chatter, we come here and continue the gabfest. But for all those topics that are normally part of the forbidden zone we recommend you visit the Open Topics Forum, where you can talk all you want about anything and everything that comes to mind without needing a Vulcan to interpret. But, play nice or you might find your tongue cut out your banter brought to an abrupt halt. ;D If you want to know what we mean by playing nice, or just want to brush up on what you already know, read The Rules. Interested in what's on the small screen nowadays? Get ready to beam over to the I Love, Love, LOVE TV thread where you can talk about your favorite shows to your green-blooded heart's content. ;D Remember, this babble repartee better not contain any spoilers, unless they are covered by the spoiler ghost button or are posted here. Ignore me and we'll have to beat you with a Bat'leth remind you that's a no no. Believe me, you don't want to be the subject of that conversation. All this discourse has made me a little verklempt, so while I'm off recovering, talk amongst yourselves. ;D

Okedoke. Time for bed. I feel better now that I've done something useful. ;D 'Night all! Thank for the shiny talky meat part, Onjel! You rock! Sleep well. I'm going to meditate on the Wii balance board and see if I can get my time up past 3 minutes before the candle blows out. Never thought I was that antsy. Night all!

Great opener, Better Half! Gotta love the classics. First? What? Where's becca? #wavey# I was attempting sleep. Also attempting to figure out a reason not to go all the way to Norwich for a five minute talk with the teacher, wherein I have nothing to say, except at this point that I have lost the essay questions we were supposed to be working on.

Hey! Thanks for the kind words about my photos.
Franklin's ordering Farscape even as we speak.
Julia, about to fold up like an origami pumpkin, myself

I sleeped. Not enough by about three hours, but I sleeped.
Now if I could only wake up. *sigh*

Great hat! And after the party, you can add some embellishments, if you like.

#wavey# I survived college! For the whole semester! Whee! I am all done for the day, the week, the month, and the year! Also, I got 65% for my essay, which the teacher thought showed I clearly understand modernism. ... I wish I understood what I understand then.

That will have to do for now.

Good morning, S'cubies!
Two years ago Nick and I met online. Where did those 2 years go? Whoosh!
Carpe Diem!
Some carpe diem quotes I found awesome: Life is short, God's way of encouraging a bit of focus. ~Robert Brault, www.robertbrault.comDon't be fooled by the calendar. There are only as many days in the year as you make use of. ~Charles Richards Enjoy yourself. It's later than you think. ~Chinese Proverb Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive. ~Elbert Hubbard And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years. ~Abraham LincolnFor a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way. Something to be got through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. ~Fr. Alfred D'Souzathough love be a day and life be nothing, it shall not stop kissing. ~e.e. cummings There's never enough time to do all the nothing you want. ~Bill Watterson, Calvin and Hobbes We're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance. ~Japanese ProverbLove the last one and the D'Souza quote.
And the Buffy/Willow conversation in "Surprise":BUFFY: Will, what am I gonna do?
WILLOW: What do you wanna do?
BUFFY: I don't know. I... I mean, 'want' isn't always the right thing *to* do. To act on want can be wrong.
WILLOW: True.
BUFFY: But... to *not* act on want... What if I never feel this way again?
WILLOW: Carpe diem. You told me that once.
BUFFY: 'Fish of the day'?
WILLOW: Not carp. Carpe. It means 'seize the day.'
BUFFY: Right. I... I think we're going to. Seize it. Once you get to a certain point, then seizing is sort of inevitable.
WILLOW: Wow...
BUFFY: Yeah.
WILLOW: Wow...

Maybe your not understanding is a kind of understanding. Congrats on one more semester under your belt!
