Wow, go away for an hour and there's a whole new part! I don't know if I'm in favor of Peas on Earth. Seems to me that they'd have to be washed before we could cook them. And what good is Good Will toward men if the women are still pissed off. Unless you happen to find something really cool in your size, that is. What? I'm okay with Peas on Earth as long as they don't come in the form of pea soup colored walls all over the place. ;D Somebody tried to Visualize Whirled Peas and left the lid off the blender? So tired... It's probably just as well we're not visiting my mom this weekend - the daily phone call is wearing me out as it is.

You know, people keep telling me "Don't sweat the small stuff", usually followed by "It's all small stuff". In my experience, taking that advice is like ignoring the first few rocks rolling down the hill - they're usually the harbinger of a much larger avalanche. I ignore the little things, I get walloped by the bigger ones. I let small child Emily get away with little misbehaviors, she invariably escalated to bigger and bigger mischiefs because she was constantly testing her limits, and she never gave up. Just saying... It's a very good thing she finally grew out of that phase; I wish my life would. Anne, the light at the end of the tunnel is probably the light of an oncoming train

This weekend, Mordor and I are going scuba-diving. Last weekend, we raced cars in the desert and ate a rattlesnake. And a goat. That wandered into our camp. And then a light salad. But mostly, we have sex. Hours and hours of it." [/Better Off Ted-ing]

I culled five books out of my craft library. Why did I have a book on the sewing of ultrasuede garments? Complete with patterns, yet. The only sewing of ultrasuede I've ever done was by hand, of ears onto emery mice and leaves onto emery strawberries, and that because I have a stash of 8x10 pieces in flower colors, purchased to make flowers. Weird. I also discovered that I have two copies of a book on goddess animal imagery. Either it cloned itself, or my dad very kindly snagged two copies from library donations, many years apart. I really need to move Paul's boxes of crap from in front of the metaphysical bookshelves so I can actually see what's in them. Oh well, I'll pass the duplicate on to Daria. Emily is watching a Nova about Darwin whilst and at the same time reading Ontogeny and Philogeny. She says she's on an evolution kick. It runs in the family; all of us go on research kicks at regular intervals. 'night, S'cubies, here's to a better tomorrow.

Awesome opener! New Year's Par-tay, here we come! Ditto! Great opener. New Year. I haven't made any plans and don't really want to make any . . . anybody going to be hanging around here? I'll be sitting at home, so most likely yes. On the other hand, I'll probably be sitting in the back bathroom comforting scared cats - some of the asshats around here use any excuse to set off fireworks and/or fire guns into the air.
