Wouldn't that be nice?Welcome to Part 1085 of the Soulful Spike Society Main Thread-the first thread of the 2nd decade of the millennium! You want world peace? We may not be able to deliver the whole enchilada but we can try and do our parts to bring it about, starting with a whole Website of tranquil activities including great fan fic, essays and analyses of favorite television episodes by a diverse group of writers all coexisting under the S'cubie tent. Looking for sociable discourse on the topics of the decade, or just the topics of the day? Stroll on over to the Open Topics Forum to calmly discuss whatever is on your mind. Remember to keep your conversations amicable or you'll find we're not as pacifistic as we appear. ;D Need to know how to conduct yourself in our halcyon haven from the clamorous world? Read The Rules if you haven't done so already and even if you have but need a refresher course. Are you obsessed in love, love, love with television? Same here! All you need is love and you'll definitely find a world of that to talk about in the I love, love LOVE TV section of the board. Do not, under any circumstances harsh our mellow by posting spoilers anywhere but Spoiled Souls or under the ghost button provided for your convenience in the reply screen. Stay harmonious, eschew hostility and mind the rules, and you will find this place to be a friendly, serene corner of the world where we are bringing you peace one post at a time.* *Ignore me and I will beat you to death with a shovel.** ** A vague disclaimer is nobody's friend. ;D Oh, and Happy New Year, Everyone!!!

Julia, pretending that I don't feel a bit ooky myself.

Wow, go away for an hour and there's a whole new part!
I don't know if I'm in favor of Peas on Earth. Seems to me that they'd have to be washed before we could cook them. And what good is Good Will toward men if the women are still pissed off? Unless you happen to find something really cool in your size, that is.
What?

By the way, noticed the "End of Time, Part 1" discussion in the last part, and wanted to let you know that there is a thread for it...if you guys want to talk about it without spoiler tags. It's in the Doctor Who section, of course.

Thank you, Julia, for nailing exactly where I've read that plot from Avatar before.
Ursula K. LeGuin with added Kevin Costener.
Wow.

I'm okay with Peas on Earth as long as they don't come in the form of pea soup colored walls all over the place. ;D

I've not seen the movie, but from the bits I have seen, Julia has it spot on. ;D No, I've seen it twice, now, and that's about the perfectest correspondence I've heard of. I'm just astonished I didn't see it before now.

Thank you, Julia, for nailing exactly where I've read that plot from Avatar before. Ursula K. LeGuin with added Kevin Costener. Wow. The first time I saw the trailer, it was like a bolt from the blue. LeGuin's sharp lesson in the evils of economic and ecological imperialism, only blue. Julia, there's no way that book would be made into a movie- no human point of identification
