In Krisitin's article (see Laura's above post for the link) she writes that a rumor making the rounds is that CC was dropped (or reduced to recurring cast) because she hasn't lost her baby weight. HUH?! I'm going with the first explanation - she wants to spend time with her family. The woman has played the same character for SEVEN years - I'm sure she wants a break. And I just absolutely cannot imagine ME treating one of their regulars from the very beginning so poorly as to "fire" her because she hasn't lost her baby weight.

I'm sure the rumor has to be false -- We're still waiting for Nicholas and David to lose their baby weight, and yet they continue to be employed (ok, Nick no longer is, but not because of his weight).

The article mentions that Ms. Carpenter will have a few appearances next season. I'm glad; since I feared they would leave Cordelia in a coma forever. I can't wait to have her meet Spike again. I do hope that David Boreanaz loses the extra weight he's gained. He's still a hunk, but vampires should be on the lean side rather than slightly plump. I remember how byronically gorgeous he was those first two seasons of BUFFY, when his face was leaner... The article also mentions that Vincent Kartheiser will reappear for one episode - I wonder what else they can do with Connor, unless they're going to have him kill that demon in the prophecy somehow...

Found this on TV Tome about some of the other characters on Angel next season.
Kristin at Eonline as well as numerous other sources have announced that Vinent Kartheiser (Connor) will indeed be back next year, but for only a single episode.
Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia) who has been with the Buffyverse longer than anyone now that Buffy is over, is expected to have a Giles-style recurring role next year, which is actually something she expressed in wanting last year. Now that her baby has arrived and Cordelia is in a coma, it only makes sense.
It is also reported that Mercedes McNab (Harmony) will return to the show for season 5 in a recurring role with a possibility of being added as a cast member at midseason.
Christian Kane (Lindsey) and Stephanie Romanov (Lilah) are both currently negotiating contracts for next year.
Daniel Dae Kim (Gavin) who was killed off in 'Habeas Corpses' in 4x08 can be seen in several movies this year, including big release "The Hulk," as well as "Sin" and "Momentum."
I do hope Lindsey is back. I just love him and his character and the relationship between him and Angle. What are your thoughts on having Lindsey coming back? Wonder what he will think of Angel and the Fang Gang running the LA Branch in helping the helpless and hopeless.

Perhaps he's given up the lawyer life and could return as a client under Lorne's supervision of the Entertainment division. Or maybe he sold his soul to the devil à la Robert Johnson and needs the Fang Gang's help getting it back. What fun to speculate!

Wonder what he will think of Angel and the Fang Gang running the LA Branch in helping the helpless and hopeless. I really liked Lindsey. David Boreanaz will really have to work hard if Lindsey AND Spike are around stealing scenes. I HOPE that Harmony is not being returned to become Spike's girlfriend again!!! In the words of my late aunt - "icky ahcky waw waw!". Maybe she'll become Angel's receptionist or something. Lindsey and Spike could form a BAND! Lorne could manage them. Local, of course, at least as long as ANGEL is on the air. I like Lilah, but wish they hadn't killed her; Wesley's still stuck on her and, well, she's alive only at the whim of the senior partners. I think ME would want to delay explaining Spike's reappearance for awhile - stretch out the drama. I'm sure his reappearance would be addressed in the first episode (i.e. we will see Spike somehow in the first episode) but I just don't think ME would give it all away in the first episode (i.e. explain how/why Spike is back). Then again....whenever I try to predict something on this show (that is, when I'm not spoiled silly) I always turn out wrong. That's what is fun about speculation and one of the incentives for staying spoiler-free. But we all have seen how weak I am when it comes to spoilers.... And you see who is here reading your posts on the spoiler thread....ME!

You know, I try to resist spoilers. Honestly, I do (or did). At the end of each season, I tell myself, "Self, no more spoilers for you. Let the show surprise you. Join in the speculation. Don't ruin it for yourself." And I stick to that promise for about a day....and then I break it. I start off with one or two tiny spoilers but it quickly becomes a slippery slope. One just isn't enough - I think "Hmm, this tiny spoiler won't hurt. I'll read it and then NO MORE!" But that one tiny spoiler soon turns into a full-blown spoiler addiction. Next thing you know, I'm staking out Wanda's chat, reading Spoiler Slayer's dispatches - basically, I'm mainlining spoilers. It's sad, I know. Believe me I know how sad it can seem. Good thing I have fellow spoiler whores here amongst the S'cubies (right now I'd like to give a shout-out to Dave! Yo Dave! Any new spoilers? ) This post really had no point whatsoever (much like my other posts). I'm pleading exhaustion - that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Lee Bring on the exhaustion Lee, cause you gave me a laugh or two! Such a familiar story! I'm weak....WEAK!

A little birdie told me (OK, OK, it was Herc at Ain't It Cool) that the writers are coming back Monday (not sure if that was this Monday or next Monday).
You know what that means, fellow spoiler hos? That's right, that's right - SPOILERS!! Lovely spoilers here and there and everywhere! It's raining spoilers. Hallejuah, it's raining spoilers![/b]
I wasn't joking when I said it was an addiction!

So if anyone wants to see who's coming, it's toward the end before it was locked off.

Some interesting stuff, especially relating the Greenwalt and cordy's character . . . I didn't know the character was his baby.

I am SO ready for Angel spoilers it's not even funny! I cannot wait for the writers to start churning out the first scripts... Patience is definitely not a virtue of mine!
