I totally agree--Spike needs to find someone who appreciates him. What? You don't want Harmony to have her Blondie Bear back again? Diane (runs and hides)

In the interest of keeping my fellow spoilerholics supplied, here is a piece of news I got from TV Tome. It's about the first episode next season: The title supposedly is "The Way Love Goes" and AH is listed as a guest star. Now, I know that JW and the gang were going back to work soon (either last week or this week, can't remember) but I don't think this type of information would have leaked so soon. I have no idea how reliable it is (although TV Tome has been correct in the past) - I think it's just too early to say how true this spoiler is. But, I took a vow to my fellow spoilerholics to report on any little tidbits I find and that's what I am going to do. Here's the link: www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/GuidePageServlet/showid-12/epid-246036/Has anyone else heard anything like this (mainly I'm wondering about AH guest starring in the season premiere)?

Lee, I followed your link, but couldn't find any information. Did it get moved, or am I looking in the wrong place? (I did register at TV Tome, so that can't be the problem.)

Not really a spoiler, just a speculation. Maybe The First escaped somehow through Spike. Spike certainly wasn't telling The First As Buffy to go away in Chosen.

I checked the link out this morning and it does take you to the episode page but they have removed the information regarding the episode title and AH as guest star. I swear it was on there when I posted the link! Hmmm.....

Another big spoiler whore here ;D Interesting tidbit about Gunn and Fred. I was wondering where they were all gonna be living now since most of them were at the hotel. Does Angel still own the Hotel? It wasn't destroyed, so will he still live there or too many memories and he'll be moving on up to the east side with the others? Maybe Spike will take over the hotel?

From Watch with Kristin (E! Online) chat 6/16/04:
From dark026: Why wasn't Anya's shocking death nominated for a Tater Top Biggest Tearjerker? It should have been nominated for something! Go make a new award: Biggest Shocker! Please? They were your nominations, peeps! I simply put the nominations with the most votes on there. But I would also argue that it should and would have been a tearjerker--if it had played out correctly. Anyone with me?
From buffyfan21: Whats going on with Nicholas Brendon's show. Not picked up? Not picked up.
From evil_lint_ren: I'm dying to know: Were you a Kennedy-hater? Or did you like Iyari Limon on Buffy? I adore Iyari--met her at the annual Buffy Posting Board Party, and she's a very sweet girl; hated the Kennedy-Willow relationship with every fiber of my being, because there was simply no chemistry!
From evil_lint_ren: Awww...obviously you have a disease or something. What about that scene in "Touched"? Wow. Okay, I will give you that. But I didn't buy it the rest of the time. Tara and Willow had much more zsa-zsa-zsu.
From imjustaskin: After that jaguar scene, I'm wondering if you know where Gunn's character is heading next season on Angel? Gunn is big pimpin' next season--and so is Fred. They're also the ones to embrace their new high-rent lifestyle, and they go a bit overboard. Also, David Greenwalt (who's now a consulting producer, much to Charisma's dismay) told Zap2it.com that Stephanie Romanov will likely show up again, and possibly--big, big possibly here--Sarah Michelle Gellar.
From evil_lint_ren: What would you say the chances are for Tom Lenk showing up on Angel this season? Hmmm...about 50-50. But dammit, he should! Should we start a campaign? Any thoughts for names--or items to send in the network execs?
From dark026: What do you think are the chances of Sarah Michelle Gellar getting an Emmy (yeah, right) or Golden Globe nom? I hope she earns one, but she has still got her Tater nom! The chances are not good, I'm afraid. The Emmy and Globe voters just don't get it!

I don't have the original SFX link but I will look for it there... I found it at: www.buffyworld.com/news.php?topicid=122Oh... and a note of my own: Sounds like the author is putting words in Joss' mouth with the statement about Spike being brought back as human in the last paragraph. He wouldn't have to be human to do the things Joss said in his actual quote. (Still looking for the ACTUAL article on SFX so I can confirm it's real.) 10/15 minutes later: Ok, can't find it on SFX but it could have appeared in a publication rather than an online outlet. I'll leave it there since I've now seen it in a few places but with the warning that I have way to ensure the validity of it
ANGEL HAS GONE IN A STRIKING NEW direction. He's now the boss of Wolfram & Hart. Eh? But they're evil...evil, I tell you! "During this last season, of which I'm very proud, at some point we were like,'Are we making 24?'" says series creator Whedon to SFX. "The events of the episodes seemed to happen in a two-week period. It played this one dramatic arc. We had the characters, but there wasn't enough for them." So Whedon hit on the idea of giving Angel Investigations Wolfram & Hart, once their greatest nemesis, to run. "The exciting thing about it is not only the question of moral compromise and the actual relatable, 'I worked for Greenpeace, but now I work for Shell.' Now we have a chance to get into different stories and milieus and B-stories - just a new kind of energy that isn't so completely internal," he explains. "You need the internal dynamic, its what people love; but at the same time, you need a show where if nobody's ever seen it, they can turn it on and not be lost. I want to keep the arcs in terms of the relationships, but I, and the WB, want to turn it back into the kind of show where you can watch an episode, there's a problem, it's resolved, there are outstanding emotional issues, but you have watched an hour and they have finished a case. Not that every episode will be that," he adds. Ironically, this approach was taken when the show initially debuted, before they decided to go into the more serialised type of storytelling. "The difference is now we have the framework so that everything has more resonance," Whedon details. "We have people we care about who have complex relationships, and we feel we can go back to 'monster of the week' because now we have an internal dynamic that will make it mean more than just a simple case. Some of it involves not having someone sit down and watching a nine minute, 'Previously on Angel'." But you arc-fans needn't worry too much. The idea is to make the show more accessible. There will be a through plot. "The question of why Wolfram & Hart has given them this opportunity is one we're not going to answer in the first episode," Whedon points out. "They have an entire corporation under their control that is dedicated towards evil. Ultimately there are questions that will definitely run through the entire season; we'll definitely keep the arc/soap nature that, quite frankly, is what we do well and love." There will be a slighty new line-up of characters in year five, with Charisma Carpenter's Cordelia only being a part-time player after tangling with Jasmine this season ("It's a little bit her call," says Whedon, "because she just had a baby and is living the family life"). It could be argued that Cordelia's connection with the Powers That Be isn't quite as neccessary when they have the resources of W&H. "Exactly," agrees Whedon. "You don't need visions when you've got assistants saying, 'B-story on line one.'" The good news for Buffy fans is that James Marsters' Spike will be reincarnated as a human and is segueing over to Angel, "What Spike will bring to the show is a little anarchy and a blond. Two things that we need. He's the guy to confront everybody over what they're doing. You can't have your characters constantly going, 'What are we doing in this evil law firm? Make mine black with no sugar.' Eventually you'll start to think that they're patsies or idiots. You need that voice, and to me Spike is that voice to start with. There's alot more to do than that, but when I think of it initially, he's the guy who's really bridling against whats going on."

I would love to see Lindsay back. Perhaps he's given up the lawyer life and could return as a client under Lorne's supervision of the Entertainment division. Or maybe he sold his soul to the devil à la Robert Johnson and needs the Fang Gang's help getting it back. What fun to speculate! *********************** I absolutely love the idea of JM selling his soul a la Robert Johnson ( who also had bad girlfriend troubles!!) Is anyone else as thrilled at the idea of that many really good looking guys on one show? (Lindsey,Angel (minus a few pounds _ I hope),Spike,Gunn,Wesley? Charley's Angels in reverse- eye candy for the resident board honeys- the imagination runs amok- I think JW is just jerking people's chains about spike returning as human- I definitely think he will be the oppositional voice to the others- but I just do NOT see them making him give up the supernatural edge of vampiric strength. (I kinda like the idea that his connection to First Buffy might allow the First to slip through again)

I had been bemoaning the loss of the "girl power thing," but I can see where a "boy power" show has its major viewing plusses. Yes, I like the good-looking guys aspect of the show. Except I'm not sure who Lindsey is (?). The rest you mention are quite yummy, and each in his own unique way. JW could be jerking chains on the human thing, and I don't want it to happen - but, I just keep thinking it will. We had definite foreshadowing of such a thing, and I can see where two vamps with a soul is one too many. If Joss does go this route - I trust him and James and co to keep Spike interesting to me. Of course, I'm easy. All they have to do is take his shirt off now and then, and I sigh with contentment. So Joss will have to set his standards higher than that . . but I still trust him.

Lindsay was the point man for W&H during most of AtS Season 1. He was quite the musician and had a whole blue-collar-kid makes good vibe. Angel chopped off his hand at one point, W&H gave him a replacement hand (from an unwilling donor - now we know what happens when you try to break a W&H employment contract) and Lindsay saw the error of his ways. He's played by the actor Christian Kane; check out this website for more info on him: www.kanemusic.com/
