Aw, I remember that scene. It was great. Didn't both Whedon and Boreanaz have new baby boys at the time Connor was born on TV? DB was so convincing as a father committed to protecting, nurturing and dying if need be for the child, even when Connor came back as Kid Psycho. I thought they could have done more with the relationship and not have had Connor gone round the bend; but maybe the fans (collectively) didn't like the kid. Gail Connor won't stop crying, Angel is making a complete fool of himself with the teddy bear (I thought it was fine)he finally sits down with Connor and starts making funny faces. Connor continues to cry. Angel says "I only have one face left" vamping out. Connor stops crying and the scene fades out on Angel in vamp face cooing at his child. I cried and watched that scene many times. >

James, as long as you don't call anybody else an idiot (which you have never done here, of course), you know, I hope, that different opinions, even opposing opinions, are one of the vital sources of energy on this board. I too hope you will come with us, if you'd like to, when we set sail on our own. I don't think every single S'cubie has to sign in and agree with this for it to be so: I think it's a given. You have created your own welcome and graciously earned it. Nan

Hey, I like Wood! He'd be a good long-term daylight and night-time love interest for Buffy. Though if he were to marry her, it would make true the adage of men marrying their mothers (or girls like their mothers). But everything depends on whether Buffy is still The Slayer after 9 pm tonight. Gail

Spring, I tend to be liberal in my definition of car chases. It had wheels and passengers and a motor and was being chased. I rest my case. Nan

Robin Wood needs to find himself a nice normal girl who will treat him right. Buffy slept with Spike (his mother's killer) and told him she would let Spike kill him if need be. Faith is giving him the same "get some, get gone" treatment she gave Xander. If he keeps hanging around looking for Slayer love, he should consider growing his hair back, because I would think the cold is freezing some of his brain cells. He's smart, good looking and seems to be over that unattractive "living for vengeance" thing. Get outta Sunnydale, and go live the good life, Robin!

Gail Well to each his own ( in the S'cubie spirit of "all opinions tolerated) but may I just say, personally: YUCK! I'd rather see Willow with Kennedy. Personally, I think Wood would out-Riley Riley. I know he thinks he understands slayers because his mother was one, but I don't think he could deal, at all, with coming second to the mission.

I still remember the time, before she knew Buffy was a Slayer,Joyce saved her from Spike's attack and showed where some of Buffy's strength comes from. Joyce would have made a good Slayer herself, had she been Chosen. I've said before that I thought Slayerism was hereitary. I believe that Joyce was an un-called Potential.

Sue, if anything I wrote you consider being spoiler material, I appologize. I did reference something in the article, but I tried very hard to be cryptic about it. If anyone considers it a spoiler, my most sincere appologies to you. And 30 lashes with a wet noodle against the bare eyeball for myself for doing such a thing.

Hi again everybody... I avoided the boards till tonight because I hadn't seen episode 21. I have now, and I have downloaded the 22 (but I have not watched it yet) so I could see it tonight (tonight, USA time) with the rest of the universe. The 21 was really good... and now all I have is to search back in the threads to see all your posts about it...

Okay, here I am checking back in during the final hours. I was in my car for about an hour and a half today, and on the radio (when I wasn't listening to OMWF) I kept hearing the Evanescence song "Bring Me to Life" -- now the song is very overplayed and maybe a little overrated -- but I heard it 4 times on 4 different stations, and every time I just kept imagining Spuffy montage images from Season 6 -- smashing against walls, beating each other up, kissing violently etc. Would have been a great promo song for the show last year. My male roommate has just been duly warned that he is not allowed to make a noise or utter a word between 8-9 tonight.

Lets face it guys- Buffy’s taste in men doesn’t suck- Whether as lovers or friends or mentors she sure can pick ‘em. Giles- Second only to Mr. Rogers as a Father Figure ( and yes I know he has made mistakes but consider -he likes Buffy for who she is and that is priceless) Angel-broody, gorgeous, devoted (except for the going evil and killing her friends) Xander- devoted, dogged, attractive,,sensitive ,funny, brave and trustworthy (except for the dogged jealousy of her relationships to other men) Riley- tall, blooming strong, devoted (except for the pesky jealousy of her inner strength) Parker- idiotic, cute, manipulative, probably not so bad for a one night stand ( oh who am I kidding- he probably sucked at that too- since anyone so self involved couldn’t possibly be bothered to care about his partner’s pleasure) Wood- attractive, assured, conflicted, potential love interest (except for that irritating compulsion to KILL her ex-lover and major player in battle of final apocalypse. Spike- gorgeous, obsessed, devoted, conflicted, (did I mention fatally appealing?),tormented, and absolutely insanely in love with Buffy. ( no excepts here) She has an interesting curriculum vitae that is for sure ellie
