Lee, thank you so much for your kind words about the Nerd Alert both here and the private mail you sent. Rob, as always, you write so beautifully. Your entry was moving and heart-felt. When is the next chapter of "Triangles" coming up? I'm going to be in serious Buffy withdrawal and will need it so much. Nan. Oh God, NAN. "Old Blood" is magnificent! More! Please more!! I am so flattered that everyone had such nice things to say. If you haven't seen the latest Nerd Alert! Please go and check it out. If you can read Rob's and the other entries and not mist up, you're heart needs resusitating.

//I thought the little guy was only spontaneous 2 previous times - Once after Amends when he wore a little Santa hat and rang the bells and after Becoming-// Actually, he has been spontaneous on several occassions ... "I need a hug" after Becoming Pt. 2 was the first. The Santa hat and bells after Amends, which featured The First. A graduation hat after Graduation Day, Pt. 2. He sang Grr Argh after Once More With Feeling. And he sang "We Are Gods" after the Nerds did, although I forget the episode title. There might be more. I always forget at least one.

You mean I have to go out and buy this for Paul? No, even I the loyal wife, have limits - he can walk up to Tower and get it for himself. That way I can read the interview without being embarassed at the bookstore, hah! Thanks, I think- Anne D

I think this is a wonderful idea. Can we coordinate it so we are all clinking glasses at the same time - if we can figure out how to do that across time zones? I have my husband checking out reruns on FX but I am going to be sitting by myself, sniffling into my glass of whine, and it would be nice to not be so alone.

Even with the last episode of BtVS airing tomorrow night, this is still turning out to be a good year to be a geek. Angel was renewed, with season 5 featuring Spike. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King will be released in December. The extended edition of Two Towers will be released in November, another four-DVD set, this time with 43 minutes of additional footage (the theatrical version will be released in August, as if we geeks really care). Matrix Reloaded is already out and Matrix Revolutions is to be released in November. Eliza Dushku has a major motion picture out, and Alyson Hannigan and Sarah Michelle Gellar are supposed to also grace the big screen sometime later this year (in seperate projecs mind you, although Seth Green will be in Scooby Too with SMG). Eliza and Nick Brendon also have television projects going on the air this Fall. Terminator 3 and X-Men 2 are being released this summer. Actually, X-Men 2 is already out; X-Men 3 and T4 are in pre-production phases. Yep, it's a great year to be a geek.

I won't be watching until 9PM (damn American Idol!), but count me with you in spirit anyway! I don't know whether to stay off this site tomorrow or not - on the one hand, it'll be too depressing to think about the Last Buffy (sniffle), but on the other hand, this is the closest thing there is to a support group... You all are so talented - your song paraphrases are wonderful. If I weren't in the throes of end-of-the-semester (possible end of my job) and end-of-Buffy frenzy I'd do one in French for Anne G., Michelle Belle, Watergal and Gaya and me but at least I can say, "Je ne regrette rien." I have several guesses for Mr. Grr Argh: "Now, I really need a hug." "I'm moving to LA." Or, he simply takes a bow. ("Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish" briefly came to mind but I banished it.)

David said- //Actually, he has been spontaneous on several occassions ...// ( graciously listed in David's posting #94) I had no idea there were that many !!! That is what happens when you turn off the tv right after the last scene- I had no idea about the other spontaneous grr srrg guy snippets- Are they included in the DVD? I have not yet broken the seal on my Season 1 DVD- I am saving it for after the finale.*sniffle* Seconding Becky's idea- about coordinating the time to toast the S/cubies -

I would be willing to wait and make a toast until our West Coast people can join in (I'm in the Central Time Zone). What do you all think? This of course does not mean that you cannot imbibe as necessary in the meantime.

//("Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish" briefly came to mind but I banished it.) // Who knows -- there might just be enough Buffy fans familiar with Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to get the reference. Or he could just say, "So now you people have to get real lives, eh?"

//Are they included in the DVD? I have not yet broken the seal on my Season 1 DVD- I am saving it for after the finale.*sniffle*// They are included at the end of their respective episodes, but none occurred during season 1. The DVDs are pretty decent for including the episodes exactly as they were originally aired, minus the "previously on Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and commercial breaks. I sort of miss the "previously on ..." but after seeing them play Xander's eye to the point it felt like my eye, I'm sort of glad they won't be doing it on the S7 DVD. Or they just might shift gears and start carrying the "Previously on ..." just in time for Xander's eye.
