I'm thinking why not do it the way a lot of the stations do the New Year's countdown, once for each timezone. That is, all time zones could participate twice, once for East/Central at 8:55 p.m. eastern (or whatever specific time the grr argh guy goes across the screen) and then again at 12:55 p.m. for Mountain/Pacific. There are only two UPN feeds, right?

To continue Dave's thought:
In approx. 3.5 years the entire ScoopMe board has a total of 45,921 posts (includes movies, news, extras, etc).
%Angel: (6727/45921) = 14.7%
% Buffy: (27301/45921) = 59.5%
% Jossverse (B and A) = 74.2% of all ScoopMe postings.
Looking just at the Buffy board: 27301 posts.
Episodes: (11626/27301) = 42.6%
MIsc: (14804/27301) = 54.2%
all other = 3.2%
Looking just at the Buffy Misc board: SSS (parts 1-31) = 12888/14804 = 87%
all other misc posts = 13% (and a huge percentage of these are actually separate threads posted by S'cubies like Diane's Nerd Alerts, Lee and Diane debates, Vampire Sex by Nan, Spike's Pants, etc.)
S'cubie Posts (after 2 months) compared to ScoopMe Board (all categories, after 4 years): 12884/45921 = 28% !!!!!!
(Of course, by the time I finish typing this all of the numbers will have changed!)

Actually, that should be 12:55 AM, vice 12:55 pm. Although it might be nice to suddenly toast at the end of your lunch hour the next day, people where you work might think you're a bit loopy. So how many folks are looking to take Wednesday off to attend the funeral? After all, we're about to experience a death in the family. And no, that's not a spoiler -- I was talking about the show, not a specific character.

S'cubies - was just over at the Nerd Alert (thanks Diane!) and the tears started flowing. I added a few words, but you all had already said so much, so well. I am so glad for the bunch that has congregated here! There's no reason not to post whatever you feel. If you happen to re-state what someone else has already posted, it's still YOUR feelings and deserves both expression and respect.

Can't say I have read those books you mentioned. I'm mostly familiar with the Hitchhiker TV series, which it's been years since I saw last. Best thing PBS ever aired, and no I didn't forget Dr. Who or the Civil War series.

I don't want you laughing too hard, Ellie, if you have a head cold. I'm mostly over mine but every now and then I have a laughter-induced coughing fit which is NOT FUN!

Lee, those were some fabulous moment, but I'd rather hear YOUR faves. I'd like to hear all the Scubie faves. Actually, I'd also like to hear the lurker's faves. Hey, you lurkers, this is it! De-lurk and talk to us! What are your favorite Buffy moments?

All I can say is: AH (and the other girls that posed in similar, skimpy fashion) are way more brave than I! Shots of me in skimpy lingere - no, thank you! AH et al. have a set of cojones on them that I will NEVER in a million years have! -L If I had her figure, I would. Alas, they don't make lingerie like that in my size.

I'm not even going to try to rank these, since except for a few (like Buffy's swandive), it's difficult for me to pick particular moments I like better than others and less than still others.
Buffy's swan dive at the end of The Gift. All I have to do is think about it and the tears roll.
Buffy and the gang discuss Vamp Willow, to be interrupted by the real Willow. The big hug, including Giles, followed by Willow saying, "So hey, you didn't happen to do a bunch of drugs did ya?" Followed later by Angel entering after seeing Vamp Willow, and then real Willow. "Hey Willow." Confusion. Xander -- "Right there with ya, Buddy."
I mock you with my monkey pants.
Faith and Buffy switch bodies, and then have the big showdown in the church. A great fight scene, a lot of dramatic undercurrent, and a great Riley line -- "I was late for church."
Xander as a hyena, the whole episode.
Wesley stalking Fred through the Hyperion, from the Angel ep, "Billy". Same episode, the Cordy-Lilah bitch-off.
The gang explaining to Oz about vampires. "I'm sure this is difficult to understand." His reaction -- "Actually, it explains a lot."
Can I be blind too? Frankly, the whole "Something Blue" episode, from the moment Riley admits to being a lesbian, through everyone ruining Buffy's happy day, Giles having more scotch, all the way until Buffy realizes she told Riley she was marrying Spike.
Dawn dancing with R.J. and it's effect on Xander. Followed by Willow's, "I'm right there with ya."
I'm 16 years old. I don't want to die.
Giles -- "I don't dangle a corkscrew from my ear." Jenny -- "That's not where I dangle it."
Tabula Rasa -- everyone with memory loss, filling in the holes.
OMWF, beginning to end.
Hush, beginning to end. Especially the Buffy-Riley standoff, when they both realize they've been keeping secrets.
The Body, beginning to end. Especially Willow's rant about the blue sweater, Anya finding it and shoving it in a drawer. Also, an Anya moment -- her speech about Joyce never drinking fruit punch again and no one explaining to her why.
Pangs, when Spike is tied to the chair and keeps getting shot. I'm not anti-Spike, just thought it was funny to have his comments stuck in the middle of this life-and-death fight. You made a bear! Fix it!
Xander the love god, being chased by every girl in Sunnydale in Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered. Especially Jenny wanting to talk to Xander alone, and Amy going up against both Jenny and Buffy. Not to mention Oz being filled with the overwhelming need to hit Xander.
Buffy, Angel, Wesley and Faith fighting to protect Faith from the Watchers in the Angel ep Sanctuary.
Darth Rosenberg vs. Giles. I'd like to test that theory.
Darla staking herself to save Connor. Juxtaposed against Angel staking Darla to save Buffy.
Pretty much any scene including Oz, Faith, Drusilla or Jenny Calendar. Yes, I didn't include Willow, because she's in so many scenes -- except for Buffy she's the only actor in every single Buffy episode. Every minute can't be considered the best -- and there are several she shares with Kennedy, so points off for that. Although "I hope you don't hog the covers" was a classic.
And I know I forgot a bunch.
