(This is an historic post.) OK S'cubies - I must go to bed too. Here though, is that Declaration of Independence I said I would think about: --------------------- The Declaration of S’cubie Independence
When in the Course of human and inhuman events, it becomes necessary for Spike fans to dissolve the bonds which have connected them with others, and to assume a separate and equal station, a decent respect to the opinions of other fans requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all BtVS characters are created equal, except for Spike, who is the best one, hands-down, no question, and that they are all endowed by Joss with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, UnLife, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness – and that includes Spike, except that he is extra-endowed. Ciao, bambini.

Thank you for deciding not to use that horrible word in your Part 19 #31 post. It was I who wrote in my profile about my antipathy for it. Like fingernails on a chalkboard. Does any place have a chalkboard anymore?

I watched the movie "True Lies" a few nights ago and was surprised by who played the part of Arnold and Jamie Lee Curtis's daughter in the movie. I hadn't seen "True Lies" for a long time and was shocked to see a juvenile Eliza Dushku as the daughter. Shades of BtVS everywhere...

Yep, In my mind's eye when I first heard of ScoopMe's decision, this is exactly how I saw it..so I whipped out the ol' Paintshop Pro and... *chuckling* Is that how anyone else saw it?

(This is an historic post.) Okay folks, I have it (the message board) up and running. I really would love to have you all check it out. I think it's pretty darn good, but I want all of your opinions. Go to the S'cubie Website and check it out. The link to it is in the top left hand corner where the old S3 logo used to be (right above Spikecentricity). Now, I know it's not identical to ScoopMe, but is clean, quick, has some really nice new features and no pop-up ads (jsut a small bar unobstrusively on the top of the page). It also shows the posts in linear format, much like ScoopMe! (instead of the tree or outline mode of almost everything else). So give it a try and then drop back here and talk about it.

I'm working along on Part 16. Who is using Paste Special, and what are you doing with it? I'm using just paste, taking only the post itself, and putting a divider line between posts. What's good about Paste Special? Vlad, I LOVE your amended cover! We MUST put it out on the MISC board itself so others can see it!Spring, also love your declaration of independence (appropriately, post #76). Rusty, bummer on your bad save. I can go you one better, though: last September my whole hard drive went kaput and couldn't be rebooted or fixed. Ate everything I had--about $1,200 worth of software I didn't have the installation disks for (I'd stolen it fair and square, or it had come to me on the computer when a friend donated it). All my address books, two novels in progress (though I was able to retrieve them from an even older computer, the Gran-computer) I seem to keep for no other purpose than archiving. Stuff I haven't even noticed is gone/unavailable yet. Vlad, do we have enough online "space" eventually to put up LOTS AND LOTS of fiction? Everything I like I'm now copying and saving (in Word) to CD because I figure it won't be there forever. Might we eventually have enough space to put it all up and be a repository for the really outstanding Spike-centric fiction? The way allaboutspike is now? I'll keep it regardless, and we can share it among ourselves--I could e-mail anybody a zipped copy of anything I have. But it would be nice to have our little heart of Spike-dom have the best of the fiction, too. If that's too much of a hassle, hit me with a large club and I will say no more about it...for now.Off now to run errands, then back to Part 16 and weeping through another round of reading "What She Deserves" again. Ah, that thing is so beautifully sad....Oh, and I have the glimmerings of the plot of a Spike STORY wafting through my brain. More about this when I have more.

I get up from a blissful sleep in (Late night actually DOING stuff) and find another posting party took place without me. Don't you people ever sleep (except Vlad, who coffins out during the day.) Spring, I've lost files the same way and can epathize. BTW, do any of you people understand the difference between naked and nekkid? Naked means you don't have any clothes on. Nekkid means you've got serious intentions regarding what you're going to do about it. Has anybody seen Lee? Since I posted my reply to her debate, she's gone persona non nowhere. Surely I'm not THAT intimidating (am I?) I'm going to go read Rob's latest.

Nan: I am using Paste Special this way: I open up every post on a page, using the "+" sign. Then I highlight and COPY all the posts on that page, at once. Then I go to Word and choose PASTE SPECIAL from the EDIT menu. When I do that, I get some options, and I choose "Unformatted Text." Then, all the posts paste without the blue and yellow colors or the "Reply" buttons. Just the text. Then I go through and put dividing lines between the posts. I also turned the headers blue for more distinction and clarity, but I may give up that extra. It was easy to do with Part Two, which consisted of only 78 posts.
