Out of respect for three-plus time zones to go, I won't discuss details of tonight's Buffy. But it was good -- possibly my favorite this season. For the time zones still in waiting -- do enjoy!

I've written (and discarded) two posts on subjects other than tonight's ep. This is the third. Hard to think of something neutral. I'll be constructive and go find out the name of the ep. That's useful, right? Nan

Diane, I have/saw the trailer for next week. After midnight EDT I'll tell you what it seems to show (trailers can be misleading). Nan

The trailer made next week's episode look a whole lot like a placeholder episode to me. I know, I know -- no spoilers for the other time zones. Drat this is killing me. God that was an awesome ep.

Vlad.. Thanks for the thanks but it all goes to those I snookered. Everyone's been great. I'm invisible, You're invisible, We're all Invisble... Hmmm I think I prefer the "Ice Cream" version of that . I wasn't going to comment on Michelle's post since I was "tardy" this evening. However, as many have pointed out before me, that would just help add to the our general S'cubie invisibility complex. Being a self-admitted lurker, I tend to read posts and think "Gosh... she's/he's/ they're all so much smarter and eloquent than me. Anything I have to say will just sound silly now." As a result, I often end up nodding my head in agreement and letting others answer the post. You guys make me laugh hourly every day of the week and, ever since I have discovered the S'cubies, my BtVS viewing pleasure has tripled (ok, it's more than that but I can spell triple without a spell check). I don't know what I'd do if I hadn't discovered all of you... So, don't go all Invisible Girl on me and disappear (or drag any of us into the attic to cut up our faces).

On that topic... I got a picture from my sister in Alaska today. They all (her hubby & kid) had coats on but he also had on shorts. This is a direct quote: "The weather is so nice these days! I hope this keeps up!" (Of course, after the cold winter days they told me about... I'm sure any "warmer" weather seems nice!)

Rae, have you read the barage of posts from late last Friday night? There is no way on God's green earth that anything you could post would sound any sillier than most of that kibbles and bits. And I mean it -- not all of us have alcohol to blame. By the way, while we're on the topic of "people smarter than me", let me share something I learned while in church. There are a lot of times in Sunday school when a topic starts getting discussed and a lot of us are tempted to sit quietly and just nod, because "everyone else comes off as so much more of a Bible expert than I am." It can be really intimidating when the pastor is in the room, after all, he/she even went to seminary, so the pastor is SUPPOSED to know more.Well, truth is, the pastor might know the whole Bible better than me, but the pastor doesn't know every passage better than me. My insight on a particular passage might be the most relevant in the room, and if I don't dare share it, no one else will benefit from what I have in my head. And I won't either, because I'll have convinced myself that it's just silly. If lurking is all you really want to do, and you are absolutely happy about that, then by all means, lurk and be happy. But if something strikes you and the only reason you don't share it is "everyone else sounds so much more educated and my input just sounds silly," well then we all loose out. Hey, everyone else sounding so much more together than me never stopped me from posting. A lot of really long posts. Some of which possibly sound really silly. You know, like this one.

Talking about the cold in Alaska, I used to live in Iceland, and you'd be surprised just how really nice the summers could be. Yeah, 60 degrees sounds cold to you and me, but I don't know if it's the barometric pressure or the humidity or the really strong Icelandic alcohol, but 60 degrees felt great in short sleeves in the sun there. And the sun, well that would still be around even at midnight ....
