Lee, don't apologize for posting on Angel, we always do that, remember? I hate Connor too - but I guess I felt sorry for him tonight also. Although, not sorry enough so that I didn't still wish he'd died tonight. Pretty much wanting a big death on Angel...for personal reasons..Favorite line of the night - NEVER GIVE UP - NEVER SURRENDER! I love when the writers give nods to my favorite movies, and Galaxy Quest is definitely one of them! WHAT's with LILAH being back? She's so dead! Yeah, people come back but I was expecting to see Cordy in that scene - not Lilah! How did Connor kill Jasmine? Did he stick his hand through her head? Why couldn't Angel do that? Was it because Connor was her daddy? And how icky was that kiss and Connor's line. Let's see...Angel was being kissed by his grandchild, and Connor was saying, everytime I get a girl you make a play...so weird. I must say the storyline is confusing me a lot. Who's on First here? Who IS the First here? Are we ever going to see the connection between the First and Jasmine? Was she just a god from another dimension, like Glory, or was she a Power that Was, or what the hey? Lee, I had the same reaction you did to his 'I want to rest now' line. I started racking my brain for Connor/Spike similarities but fortunately I couldn't find any except they are both kinda Angel's 'kids'. and WOW! my respect for Connor just shot up several points. I think the little creature/keeper was definitely talking about Cordelia. I disagree here with you though. I have always loved Cordy/Angel - or the idea anyway, since it never really happened. I think they were so much better for each other than Angel/Buffy. But Cordy seems like a moot subject at the moment. Wonder how Charisma is enjoying going into work and just lying there every week. "Angel’s response of “Doesn’t matter” when he was told that Connor would never love him was very moving." I agree with that. He's trying so hard to be a good daddy. You asked if ANgel is never to Shanshu - the previews for next week made it look like he HAS! He wasn't burning in the sun! All MY theories down the tubes if that happens! I enjoyed this episode but it was confusing to me. Not sure what the message was with the powers and free will and Angel destroying world peace...I mean, I have a definite opinion, Angel was absolutely right, but am very confused where they are taking this. Guess I'll have to wait and see. I'm NOT spoiled for Angel. May its tribe continue! – Patti T.

Patti, can't WAIT to read "Part I" - is it sad that I am already drooling in anticipation about reading about JM and seeing pictures of him. If it is sad, keep that bit of info to yourself! ;-) Lee, if that is sad, how sad does it make me, who took the pictures, and wrote the report? So..not to worry!

Ok, wanted to run to the grocery store real quick and pick up a few items, I like it when the place is empty at night. So I'm getting into the mix a little late. But I'm still commenting before I read anything else, just because these are my thoughts and before I speak I don't want to be influenced by anyone else. THINGS I LIKED ….Connor’s monologue with Cordy – It was sorta cool getting the insight into Connor’s head, not just about Jasmine but about pretty much everything that’s ever happened to him. His whole life has been a lie, beginning with Holtz making him believe his father was a killer, etc., but like he said, Jasmine’s lie just looked better than the others. It was an odd reasoning, but coming from him, it made sense. That was a powerful moment. And now that he killed Jasmine, it will be interesting to see how that storyline plays out. The bitch is back – I already knew about Lilah’s return. Someone on here commented that they were lamenting the loss of Wolfram & Hart, and it was so hard for me to keep my mouth shut about her coming back. And the promos for next week look as if she’s not alone – the whole W&H team will be back in action. But instead if taking on Angel Investigations, they’re being asked to join up, at least that’s how it looked. I’m just figuring Angel’s windows are UV tinted or something, which is why he didn’t catch fire when she pulled the shades back. Anyhow, Holland Manners once told Angel that his contract with Wolfram & Hart didn’t end at his death; looks as if that’s the case for the entire W&H team. Great having them back. Bringing the head back – that was so cool when Angel thought to sever that thing’s head and then remove the cords at just the right moment. Heck of a moment. Jasmine – OK, maybe she isn’t evil after all. Considering her speech about there being no absolutes, and then the way Lilah shows up and makes the comments about destroying world peace, I’m wondering if Jasmine wasn’t some all-powerful being who was doing what she thought she had to in order to save the world. I’m not suggesting she’s all good. But now I’m thinking her parallel might not be to TFE but instead to Inca Mummy Girl, who only wanted to live but had to kill to do it. Inca Mummy Girl is one of the hardest of Buffy’s adversaries to hate (along with April, Warren’s robotic girlfriend) because she wasn’t inherently evil, she just got a raw deal and did what she had to in order to survive. I’m starting to think that perhaps that’s the way Jasmine saw it too, that she was more or less straight-up with Angel all along about her intentions. That would also solve the question about why it would be that Jasmine and TFE aren’t working together – Jasmine wasn’t trying to bring about the apocalypse, at least not the end of the world but instead the end of evil. It would explain why The Beast went after Wolfram & Hart, and why they are now back in her wake – THEY are the minions of evil, the agents of TFE if you will. Jasmine was one of the Powers That Be, albeit a rogue. WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE … Stephanie Romanov’s name in the opener. She’s only in the last minute or so, and even then it’s supposed to be a big surprise when Angel hears her voice. So why not save her name and credit it at the end instead of the beginning? For the unspoiled, I know there had to be a few that asked, “What the …. Isn’t she dead?” Also really surprising since Joss is so much about guarding his surprises until the last possible second, to go and give this one away a full hour ahead.

You said you didn't know about Faith and Buffy's time on Angel, so here's a quick synopsis of the only Angel episode with them both on it, Season 1's "Sanctuary" ...After Faith's bodyswitch with Buffy, an internal change began to take place. Walking in Buffy's shoes made her see things a lot differently, she began to understand. And she began to regret her actions. She ran to Los Angeles, and Wolfram & Hart found her and hired her to destroy Angel, but she really took the job in hopes of driving Angel to destroy her -- she was tired of the pain and wanted Angel to execute her. They fought, and then Faith broke down and admitted she wanted help. Okay, that was all from BtVS "Yesterday's Girl" & "Who Are You", and Angel "Five by Five".Angel agrees to help Faith, and she spends a lot of quiet time in reflection, broken up by a lot of attempts by Angel to be comforting. At one point she mentions Buffy, questioning if she can ever make up to Buffy the pain she's caused her. They're attacked by another Wolfram & Hart assassin, kill it, but Faith is shook up and Angel tries to calm her down. About that moment, Buffy walks in to see Faith curled up in Angel's arms, neither of them thinking romantic, but it shakes Buffy up. See, she went to Los Angeles to warn Angel Faith was on her way that direction, and found them together. Faith tries to appologize, and Buffy shuts her up. She is very hurt and beyond trying to help Faith, even though at one point she was the only one ever tried to help Faith (Faith did mention that point when talking about Buffy previously). Angel steps in and tells Buffy this isn't her place -- he helps the helpless, and now he's helping Faith. Angel and Buffy have a huge blowout that even comes to them striking each other. Faith watches, and is even more shookup because she realizes how much Buffy and Angel mean to each other, and realizes they're fighting over her. Not long after this, the operatives from the Watchers Council that had held Buffy thinking she was Faith during the BtVS ep "Who Are You" come in looking to take Faith out. They had tried to enlist Wesley's help, thinking he would since Faith had spent the previous episode torchuring him, but his trust is in Angel and he turns on them, tells Angel and joins in the fight to protect Faith. What ensues is a huge fight between Faith, Wesley, Angel and Buffy on the one side and the operatives from the Watchers Council on the other. The operatives are defeated, and Faith dissapears. Angel and Buffy go to see Kate Lockley in hopes of calling off the Faith manhunt, well at least Angel does. Buffy is just sort of there, still incensed by the whole affair. As Angel and Buffy argue with Kate, they come across Faith sitting in the police station, turning herself in. At this point Buffy comes to realize that this time, Faith's redemption is for real. Buffy and Angel have another argument, and Angel sends Buffy back to Sunnydale, informing her that Los Angeles is his world, not hers, and she needs to stay out of his business. That's the setup for the BtVS episode "The Yoko Factor" when Angel comes to Sunnydale to appologize to Buffy and has his big run-in with Riley. I'm sorry Spring, if I stepped on your toes any -- I meant this simply to be an account of Buffy and Faith's last interaction for anyone who doesn't watch Angel, not an analysis like you are so good at doing.
