::I just loved the whole scene, especially when Anya brought up sex with Xander on the cot and all the girls on the cot got off. I'd have really loved it if Spike had been there, considering he still sleeps on that thing.::Given the keen vampire sense of smell, I'd say he already knows. "Damn them, shaggin' on my bed again..."

Sitting in my office trying to catch up on all your posts so I'm not even more behind when I come in tommorow morning. I'm up to #457. Someone just mentioned Angel coming on and I realized that it started 19 minutes ago. If I left right now I'd only catch the last few minutes. Damn. There's just not enough hours in the day. Someone tell me tomorrow if there were any Buffy references or connections in tonight's episode, okay? thanks. deborah cohen

Patti said: //I think that's it. Everyone else is shagging like bunnies, and Buffy and Spike are gazing into each others eyes and tenderly touching each other. That is what did NOT happen last year. It was sex and no tenderness, though Spike wanted more. Just the fact that Buffy is looking into his eyes and stroking his...hand...stroking his hand, is in a way, more meaningful than...oh crap, I can't even pretend I believe this myself. GET ON WITH SHAGGING SPIKE, BUFFY you IDIOT! // and made me laugh Real Loud! Damn, I so gotta get out of this office. I should be here by 7am tomorrow working (not on the board) and it's 8:30pm. Still have to stop at the grocery store on the way home too. This is just too much (Spike- Lovers Walk). debo'

First off, I'm going to admit I only watch Angel randomly, so don't know how the last (few?) encounter(s)s between Faith and Buffy played out.Secondly, I'm going to say that of all the actions and reactions by the characters in the confrontation with Buffy last night, Faith's rang the most true to me. She WOULD question Buffy, and I think she was attempting to get Buffy to reconsider. I don't think she was trying to take charge, etc. I though Faith acted the most rationally, and I have no arguments with her behavior last night (except that I believe it should have been done privately, and not in a room full of frightened girls). Those things said...Based on what has happened on BtVS in the past, I would think it would be very difficult for Buffy to place much trust in Faith. Willow brought Faith to Sunnydale, and apparently told Buffy that Faith had been a lot of help in LA and that she thought she could be of help to them too. But their history is not one to inspire trust. Faith tried to destroy Buffy. Buffy tried to kill Faith. Faith tried to steal, not just Buffy's men, but Buffy's LIFE. That's a pretty rocky history. I find it unrealistic for anyone to expect Buffy to accept immediately that Faith has changed, and can be counted on. Even a week, and a few fights together, would not be enough to heal their past, IMO. I would think that Buffy would be WISE to be cautious (NOT that I believe Faith will betray her this time, but she has in the past, and Buffy SHOULD be wary.) The others may know the history between the two, but no one can really know what scars Faith inflicted on Buffy internally, or how deeply they run. Except Buffy. Mary

To everyone suggesting Buffy should be listening to others better, I ask - what great advice has she turned a deaf ear to? All anyone really does is tell her she should be doing better, and suggest no alternative, or very vague ones like "we need to try to think of something else" or some such thing. They are in CRISIS. All anyone ever says (besides Buffy) is let's take some more time to research and think about it. Very, very vague - and also very very "UN" when you compare it to the real world. Buffy, like the USA, is out on her own. Being accused of arrognace? Being accused of thinking she's better, superior - instead of just luckier? Sound familiar? ROB: I don't think throwing Buffy out of the house was a plot device for getting Spike & Buffy some alone time. I mean, it does that, and I'm sure that's not coincidental, but that could have been accomplished a lot less dramatically. That's not the PRIMARY thing throwing Buffy out on her on is about - I mean, I doubt very much, that when all is said and done, it will seem that way.

Patti "Get on with shagging Spike, you idiot??" Wow. That's the best advice Buffy is ever gonna get from anybody. I hope she heard you.

I'm posting during the commercial. My best friend called during the episode -- and she knows better -- which means it's important. I'll have to call her at 10:00 -- I'll be on board as soon as possible, but these phone calls usually take about an hour.

First off, I want to apologize to the S'cubies for posting this here - I know it's not "Buffy" but it's easier to post it here than on the "Angel" board. The people I want to discuss it with are on this board. So, again, I'm sorry! I hate Connor – in fact, I pretty much hate him with every ounce of my being but tonight is really the first time I felt sorry for him. He just wanted to be loved and the person he thought could be the one person to love him, he had to kill. When he was talking to Cordy in the church, my heart was breaking for him. His comments about his life being built on lies but Jasmine being the best one was absolutely heart-breaking. I actually started crying during his speech to Cordy’s body. His statement about just wanting to rest made me sit up and go, “Huh? Am I watching ‘Buffy’?” I immediately thought about Spike’s speech to Buffy in “Beneath You” when he states “Can we rest now Buffy?” Connor’s anger toward his life was both justified and so child-like. I caught glimpses of the boy in Connor tonight, the boy who just wants to be loved. Add this to him killing Jasmine and WOW! my respect for Connor just shot up several points. The little creature/keeper that was talking with Angel while he was fighting mentioned that Angel has lost Connor and that he had already lost the woman. What woman was he referring to? Cordy or Buffy? My B/A ‘shippin’ heart would love for that statement to be referring to Buffy but I fear that it was referring to Cordy. God, I am so sick of C/A – the pair NEVER should have been linked romantically AT ALL!! They had a great brother/sister relationship but the writers sure screwed the pooch on that one! Angel’s response of “Doesn’t matter” when he was told that Connor would never love him was very moving. Just two words but very powerful two words. I only wish Connor knew that Angel is trying to do what he thinks is in the best interest of his son. Sometimes I want to smack Connor upside the head and tell him what a punk he is but not tonight. Tonight I actually felt for Connor. Oh, and Lilah coming back? WHOA!!! Soon as she appeared on screen I stated singing Elton John’s “The Bitch is Back”. Although, I have to admit, I’m such a spoiler whore for “Angel” (and David’s right there with me), I knew what was coming but it still had an impact on me. Dude, don’t mess with Jasmine – she is one tough chick!! Jasmine’s comment about Angel’s role in the apocalypse, that now he knows what role he played. Wonder if that’s true? Is Angel never to shanshu? Overall, I enjoyed this episode – can’t believe next week is the season (though hopefully not series) finale. It will be interesting to see what is in store next week. I mean, I already know (big spoiler whore, remember?) but it will interesting to see played out on screen. -L

Xander and Anya...gray sheets, which were there last time we saw Spike. Then, Spike and Faith discussion...blue sheets. So, apparently, Spike changed the sheets after Xanya.

Patti, can't WAIT to read "Part I" - is it sad that I am already drooling in anticipation about reading about JM and seeing pictures of him. If it is sad, keep that bit of info to yourself! ;-) -L

Spring, I SO agree with your post. There have been NO useful suggestions that Buffy has ignored, NO alternate plans discussed in front of her or privately, nothing but whining and bitching and YEA YOU for clearly so stating!

That's a fascinating point you make there, Spring. As it turns out, I feel very similar about both situations. Everyone was right, and everyone was wrong. However, to further extend the comparison, can Kennedy be France? :-)As far as your comment about Buffy's eviction....well, I was trying to see the bright side of a moment that's difficult to believe on behalf of my wonderful S'cubie friends here who want to see Spike and Buffy with some quality alone time. Outside of that, Dawn throwing the legal owner out of her own home is a dumb way to move the plot along. Personal opinion only, though I'm not alone. I haven't anyone yet who hasn't thought that was at least a little silly. Rob Sorenson
