Well, close. There have been a tremendous amount of posts today. We made it... seriously, I hope this isn't why scoopme is shutting down... it's never been this busy before. I'm so glad my boss was out on a business trip and I didn't have that many things going on today... it's been very fun. Although, considering our newly worked scubie rules, I better get off soon rather in case you Easterners want to angel post as well. And I do NOT mean get off in a Muffy the Vampire sense. //Hah! How do you know I didn't? And am not?// I'm figuring it would have made CNN. And I'm guessing that they would be seriously limiting your online time in the pokey.

Unless Angel plans to lurk like he did in Pangs I'm guessing there will be major fallout. As much as I love Spike and Buffy together I think in Buffy's heart of hearts Angel still trumps Spike emotionally. Maybe she will choose to sacrifice herself rather than lose either of the souled vampires that have introduced her to ecstasy and pain in equal measure so much so that they are practically indistinguishable.

I'm telling you, Giles is pregneant with an evil entity that, upon it's birth, will leave him catatonic as it spreads fake peace and joy throughout Sunnydale. I know I saw that premise played out somewhere else before -- might have been on the X-Files. That's what's up with Giles. Oh, and to get that way, he slept with Dawn during the reign of fire. ARGGHHH! GORDELIA and DONNER! So is Caleb their evil Spawn?

Patton is one of my favorite movies. I hope no one kicks me out for the usage of the word bastard in a header. Channeling Robert E. Lee might do Buffy some good also. Angel time. Back in an hour.

I'll be there -- I may be too shell-shocked to be coherent, but I'll be there. Incidentally, I made actual voice contact with James today. We discovered that we actually went to the same law school, though a bunch of years apart. And I've asked Vlad if he'd forward an email message to you, so you'll know how to reach the real me. Seven minutes to go! (And I've actually turned on the end of Dawson's Creek. For those people who complained about how UPN is promoting the end of BtVS -- at least it's not like the WB doing the end of the Creek "Four friends -- little do they know these are the last hours they'll spend together. Bwahahhahhhahh!" See you later! Laura the Lawyer

When I watched season 6 of Buffy I KNEW that the relationship developing between Buffy and Spike wasn't exactly healthy. But I always thought that there WERE tender moments. The Invisible sex in Gone certainly looked tender to me - at least in the scene where Xander walked in on them. And it's been implied several times that they talked A LOT. Buffy knew that Billy Idol 'stole' his look from Spike. Spike knew about Faith - something I don't think she would share with many people (did she talk to Wood about Faith onscreen?, because I have a lot of trouble picturing this scene coming about, and I have missed a couple of episodes this year). Spike also talked about the ice on the back of the neck... At the wedding that wasn't, the moment Buffy and Spike talked about themselves was also tender. I had the impression they were sharing a lot of confidences.Sometimes I feel like I'm being fed a semi-revisionist line this year - that I'm being told that I was imagining the parts of their relationship that weren't based in violence, and that the whole thing was just sick and twisted. It makes me very sad. Almost time to begin working on that butt-shaped dent in my sofa again, as Angel is about to come on. And considering the prolific posting over this episode, Alexandra might have to make a whole new page just for the Angel posting.

Ellie said, of the two souled vampires: so that they are practically indistinguishable. Ellie, you DO realize them's fightin' words, don't you? Resume with holy water guns at ten paces after Angel. Nan

Verbosity thy name is SSS. Out of control! Since Lee posted at 10 am that Hunter's review was up the ep board has had 152 posts (8 pages). The S'cubie board has had 352 posts (18 pages). Good Grief! I guess this means we won't be done discussing the final ep until August! Part Twenty-One was started 24 hours ago, and is on page 27. Edited By Sue P at 4/30/2003 9:00:00 PM.

"Hah! How do you know I didn't? And am not? " I bet you are... Maybe you'll be lucky, and run into Faith.

Although who knows, google "Katrina" and "Taco Bell" together and maybe you'd find more than you think. Now doesn't THAT sound positively obscene! Yes, but then a lot of our posts have sounded that way today.

//Buffy knew that Billy Idol 'stole' his look from Spike. // My take on that one comment, was that Buffy was more talking about how Spike had been around longer. I do agree they talked a lot, but I don't know for sure that was really meaning that Spike originated the look, only that he's old enough to have.

Okay, the network went down a little after 7pm so I coudn't keep working and because of my addiction to this board I am now an extra 1/2 to 3/4 of a day behind in my work. So I'm here catching up on the posts and I've just reached David's #408. He said: //Fact is, a council formed of Buffy, Willow, Xander, Faith, Spike and Giles might have avoided a lot of the problems that have evolved from Buffy trying to do everything. Then instead of them being treated like nothing more than the potentials, they could go before the potentials as a united front with a plan finalized and agreed upon by those who have significant experience in battle.// The thing is last week in Dirty Girls we did see just such a meeting of Buffy, Giles, Xander, Willow, Faith & Spike (think it was in Buffy's bedroom- everyone was standing up, remember?) discussing going in after Caleb. Of course Buffy overrode everyone else who expressed doubts about the wisdom of rushing in and counciled(sp???my spell-check is NOT helping) caution but at least it was a private meeting between the chiefs and not a free for all with the SITs. deborah
