So...Locke thinks confessing to whacking Sayid upside the head and breaking his tranceiver is gonna INCREASE the trust level?
His logic does NOT resemble our earth logic.

Don't have much to add. Probably just too tired.
Poor Sayid, sure has had his chain yanked around by a lot of folks.
But----was he really being fair to Shannon if he is still so deeply in love with the other woman?
Mostly---I just found the mourning for Boone beyond difficult.

Not much to add, just that Locke keeps making decisions for the community, rather than informing them and letting the community make decisions for themselves.
He doesn't trust them to make the "right" (by him) decisions.
Sayid, oh Sayid...who will be there to bury his friend? Will he ever see Nadya again? Will he ever get to first base again with Shannon? (Isn't there someone else in the survivors who's more attractive a partner than Shannon? Meh.) Sayid, more than anyone else so far, has need of redemption - and is dearly paying a price for the decisions he's made. In that, he reminds me most of Angel. So many wrong choices, so much to atone and make right.
Actually, they all are looking for/actively seeking/not looking for, but needing some kind of forgiveness. They each have regrets. Serious regrets.
Jack - cares so little for Locke right now that he doesn't even check his wound.
Locke - lost - more truly now, than before.
The Hatch - lookin' more and more X-file-y, every episode.
Terrific show; exciting episode, that's for sure.

The problem with Jack is not that he doesn't care about Locke; it's that he's not acting like a doctor anymore. Doctors are not required to like their patients, but they are required to look after the sick and the injured, even if those people are criminals or have done wrong. Jack should have at the very least taken a quick look at Locke's head wound; he didn't even try. To me, that's very disturbing, especially considering how conscientious a physician Jack has always been...
RAKSHA, thinking that the physician had better heal himself soon!

Locke's actions - while always mysterious - were beyond comprehension here. I mean - I'm not a master interrogater but everybody and his brother could tell he was lying about the hatch when Sayid asked him. I mean - how shifty was his long pause and weenie answer?

I felt so sorry for Sayid's friend. And I was kind of on his side when he was all you betrayed me for a woman? Sayid really does need redemption.
Shannon - you are just all kinds of useless.
Hee, hee on Sawyer being the baby soother. But my favorite part of "Moments from the Island" was Hurley's little song and dance to try and sooth baby turniphead. Hee, hee.
I just kind of want to throw things at Jack right now. Would someone please elect Hurley President of the Island? Hurley is so much more a President Palmer (this is a 24 reference and if you don't watch that show, just ignore please).
Okay - why walk around and try to be all comforting in a blood drenched t-shirt? I mean - that scene by Shannon was ubercreepy and I was getting the Stepfather vibes from Terry again. Take off the blood-stained shirt before you go and try and comfort the incestuous sister.
Okay - all my shows are flirting with incest. Is this trendy this year? Alias tonight, Lost earlier and VM. Stop it everyone - okay? Cause ewwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!

Random: Speaking of babies. 44 now left? How many men? How many women? How many condoms? Any body know the rythm method? And where is the black lady (sorry I forget her name). I miss her. She had some good common sense. ============== Shannon---bleah. Sayid is far better off without her. Talk about "it's all about me, me, me, me." She's only mad at Locke because he took away her toy/minion (Boone). Now who will mindlessly worship her? Rose. I liked Rose, too. She's so . . . calm. Which these folks need very badly right now. A bit of calm, quiet time spent actually, oh I don't know, thinking and maybe talking to each other!

Am I the only one here who thinks that the shot that grazed Locke's head tonight is not the shot we've seen in promo/previews, where he appears to have been shot in the ribs or chest, and falls? I think that's being saved for the last episode of the season - and I think it's Jack who's going to pull the trigger. Normally, I wouldn't peg Jack for a killer, he's so into being a doctor. But tonight, when Locke was shot, Jack didn't even try to look at the wound, which, as shot to the head, should have been examined. Jack also appeared to have a peculiar gleam in his eye when he focussed on Locke after the gunshot; which could be ascribed to Jack's lack of sleep, or something else.
Good flashback sequences with Sayid; the actor playing him is one of the best on the show...
As Sue mentioned, the black lady is very much missed. I also wonder what everyone is eating, and how they're getting it - is there any agriculture, cultivation going on, any forays to shake down coconuts or whatever? When was the last time Locke brought home the bacon to anyone? They need to have a leader who is going to start organizing things so everyone isn't totally dependent on Jack and Sun for medicine and Locke for fresh meat - lessons, training, etc. The black lady could be teaching the kid, not to mention calming Charley down while he's babysitting little Turnip (who is the world's largest newborn, btw ;D)...
GAIL Speaking of the shot to the head. Anyone else feel like . . . something . . . might have helped deflect that bullet? **now picturing Charley and little Turnip wandering the island, Sawyer always sulkily walking along, pouting and reading out loud so that little Turnip is happy** Ah, little Turnip.

RAKSHA, thinking that the physician had better heal himself soon! Matthew Fox did an excellent acting job last night! I really felt every moment of his confusion and disorientation and dehydration and lack of sleep. Very much agree with you and Makd and everyone who's mentioned the fact that he didn't try to help with Locke's injury - especially right after it happened. The fact that he didn't push down his own feelings and go over and check the man out? Not a good sign.

Aw, Sawyer. The baby loves your sexy southern drawl. Hear that Patti? Our Sawyer, the baby soother. I'm not surprised one bit. Did you notice what Sawyer was reading to the baby? A car magazine. Male bonding, *snortle*

They don't need Walt on that raft. It should be just Jinn, Michael and Sawyer. And me. Okay, you go off on the raft, and leave Sayid on the island. With me. ;D Bye, Spring, bon voyage!

Yep. I had the thought this morning that something protected Locke, because too many of us felt that he had been shot in the chest. Ah! Sawyer - his love of books and reading is going to come in handy!! Love it! Little Turnip. LOL! btw - Have they named the baby yet? Did I miss that while my crazy house kept interrupting me during the show?
