OK - well, some random impressions: - Libby is lying to Hurely about him stepping on her foot - like Charlie with his lies, she doesn't "answer the question," but tries to distract him.
- Had to love the Sawyer line to Hurley: "You gotta load you need to drop in."
- Lots of fire & water imagery - diametrically opposed substances in some ways, but both purify.
I don't think Libby was lying to Hugo about the foot-stepping-onning.. she described him too well.... Either that, or she was stricken by him, and is teasing him while teasing hell out of him. She's interested: or very very comfortable with him already: that whole "turn around so I can try on this sexy new top and get you to compliment me" thing means she's playing the game.. and she's a pshrink, too.... Huh. I REALLY hope she's actually honestly interested in him, not playing with his brain. Anymore than most men and women do to each other when flirting, anyways.

I like Mr. Eko - but still...it felt wrong to see him *baptize* Claire and Aaron.
Charlie is so lost. He gave up a lot to follow his brother, but his brother didn't 'owe' him anything for it - like Charlie seems to think.
Charlie had talent, but his brother got all the perks from their collaboration. The adulation, the wife, a baby.
Like Liz said - Charlie never did find his niche. He wasn't satisfied with who he was. As long as he keeps looking to others for validation, he'll never be happy.

IMO: Charlie is and has been using. That's why he's such a liar on the topic of the statues. Listen to how he tries to come up with ways to talk Locke into letting him keep the statues - while claiming that he wants to destroy them. Except he's not acting AT ALL like someone who wants to, or had plans to destroy them. He's acting like someone desperate to keep them, who'll say whatever he has to say, to keep them. Don't suppose it was possible to get a count of the statues from the last episode and this one and get a count? Then we might know for sure.

I have to agree with Spring. Libby's "you stepped on my foot" thing is a lie. I think Libby is actively seducing Hurley as part of an agenda.

Oh - she might very well be honestly interested in him. But she's lying to him about that flight, and the footstepping on. She's distracting him, right off the bat, from his question about "do I know you from somewhere?" She doesn't really answer the question - it's juxtaposed with Charlie "not answering the question." I don't know why she's lying - but she's lying.

Who want's to be Charlie's co-dependent and count his statues?

Ooo. Validation. Libby told Hurley that she was looking for validation.

Claire's not totally cutting you out, Charlie. She's just looking out for the baby. "We were strangers on a plane and we became friends." A nice summary. "Now Locke's your friend." Um. Charlie, you got some issues. Making excuses for Liam. Like he's done for a lot of his life, I'll bet. Huh. So Charlie is using already, but he's still taking care of Liam? Then I guess later they kind of switched places . . TAILIES!!!!! Hurley said Tailies! #rofl1# OMG, it is so high school! Hurley is practically passing notes asking "does she like me" and Sawyer and Kate are gossiping about the popular kids. OK. The religeous hallucinations are freaky. Pretty, but freaky. And now he's sleep walking with the baby? Tell someone about the dreams Charlie.

It could give us a clue, but I don't think it would tell us for sure. It doesn't much matter - the statues are gone, for Charlie, now.

Flight from Australia, colonized by criminals/wrongdoers, to LA, "city of angels." (eh, bit of a stretch.) Crashed en route, now in Purgatory. Maybe.

Yeah, Until the hatch showed up, I was convinced the Losties were dead and that Island was Purgatory. What with the major characters working through the issues in their backstories.

Nicely done, Sawyer, settin' up Hurley with a sweet deal. ;D "Kate sees a horse. Pretty much everybody sees Walt wandering around the bloody island." #rofl1# Lying about the statues, though, aren't you. Dude! Quit with the freaky scary stare! A diapers ad?! ?! ?! With them singing "You All Everybody". "I'm not ditching anyone. He's my brother." Well, there's the source of his anger with his brother then, isn't it? Ok. Dressing with him there? Giving him signals? Telling a cute story about how they "met" before? She's flirting, Hurley! Interesting. Charlie still looking for some kind of "spiritual leader" guy, only now he's switched from Locke to Eko. And Locke's not happy about things.

Was I right or what? There's the tree - there's Ana Lucia and Jack. It's only a matter of time 'til they're kissing. "You hittin' that?" #rofl1# "She's hot, you're hot. It's what people do." #rofl1# #rofl1# Oh man, I like this woman! ;D OK. So this is about the most exact copy flashback thing we've had yet. I mean, she threw me out 'cuz she thought I was dangerous - around the baby because of the drugs? Dude! And then, "you got any?" Hmmmmmm. Something tells me that Locke taking them is not a good idea . . .
