The kid that asked Locke about daddy is dead. Well, of course he is. After you told daddy that he was investigating him. Locke sees that Benry's weakness is wondering why his paralysis isn't being magically cured like Locke's was. Dueling mind games. Sayid handcuffed on the playground. Nummy! #liplick# "Because you look like you mother." Yay!! Sayid!! Getting the word to Alex! Best, smartest thing evah! "We have two giant hamsters running in a massive wheel in our secret underground lair." #rofl1# Benry admitting he keeps people here? But from the way he says it, I can tell he wants you to blow it up. The sub "maintains the illusion they can leave". Which means you don't want them to, but you don't want it to look like it's you keeping them here. Benry tells him about a "magic box". Uh huh. So, is there a cat in the box, not alive and not dead? Heee! Locke's getting some excellent lines tonight too. ;D "I hope that box is big enough to imagine yourself up a new submarine." Very interesting argument between Locke and Benry. The Others are "cheating". They aren't truly embracing the island; they have electricity and so on, and they come and go. "Because you're in the wheelchair and I'm not." Zing! Keep hammering this point home, Locke, 'cuz it's the only ammunition you got. It's the one thing that really does bug Benry. I bet that scene made you wish you were a *ahem* Swinging! So now is there a stinking box on the Island, that is all John needs is to have something else to search for.Just out of curiosity , I wander how long Daddy has been on the Island, and if Ben was keeping him tied up all this time , or if that was set up to look that way to John.

So the cops don't believe he's the killer, now. and a Physical Therapist. Cheeful sadist. "Don't wanna hear about what you can't do" So PT de Sade here is the source of his "Don't tell me..." mantra? That would be my guess. The one hope I have is that even in his "I'm so much smarter than you" gloating he did continue to affirm that the rest of the folks on the island are . . . . not uniformly behind him. Another great line for Locke. Benry does like to draw out his "I'm so cool" moments a bit too much. Locke may not have figured out his dad was there, but I sure did. And I'm also not totally convinced that Locke is really afraid of his dad. At least not now. He's got that one button of Benry's to push and he's pushing it for all he's got. Of course, that practically guarantees that Benry will practically dissect him to find out why he's the Island's pet instead of Mr. "I was born here". Of course. It's the Official Island of the Daddy Issues.

Wow. I said last week , I hoped this helped me understand why locke was acting the way he was. and I guess it did in a way, but I thought there would be more involved than him just wanting to stay on the island. as it answered a question I sort of already knew , it also added 5 more for me, which of course I have come to expect from this show. Come on, Alex even told him , he was manipulating him, cause that is what he does. Ben is the one that suggested blowing up the sub and John followed suit. 8 freaking stories!!!!!!!!!!! Good god! Oy! Tell me! That was such a wonderful sweet!sad moment. Me, I just love to roll with the weirdness. Four toed statue feet moments are the ones I love the best. ;D 'Course, I'm odd, too. Sometimes I wish they'd answer a few more things, but then they suck me in with another "wow" moment and I'm re-hooked all over again. ;D

Tallahassee? Great. The guy's freaking out and you cut off his disabillity payments. Fixes EVERYTHING. And he's still walk-able. Back to the Village of the Darned. Kate is gonna be jealous of Juliet, of course. Rolling Benry. Handshaking! heh. Nice understatement, John. " This is going to be more complicated than we thought" Echoing the thoughts of the fans, perhaps? Or telling us? Drew Goddard co-wrote this ep. Drew G? Cool! It certainly brought the funny tonight, that's for sure.

Good question about Daddy. Is he even really a prisoner, or is he playing along to get to Locke? now IMO Benry went and got him, once he learned the info on John , he knew he was going to need something to entice him with, what better than the man that destroyed your life. So I think they went over and either "recruited" him, or just Kidnapped him and brought him over for John. I cant see daddy joining the others without a con or purpose, so It should be interesting to see where they take this.

Prepare to Locke and load... Heh. Was Locke from Tallahassee? Oh, the man from Tallahassee is Locke's father?

Heh. Was Locke from Tallahassee? Oh, the man from Tallahassee is Locke's father? That's what I'm thinking. I checked Lostpedia, but it doesn't list a hometown or place of birth for Locke's dad.

Hi, everyone, delurking here. I'm a faithful lurker. I like to come read all of the discussions that y'all have about my favorite shows even if I don't post often.
I just had a revelation about a possible connection and I thought that I would come share it. Please, excuse me if this as all ready been mentioned in an earlier thread.
So, am I right that this was the first time that it was revealed that Locke's dad was a "professional" con-artist (and the deal with Lock wasn't just a one time thing)? Cause, thinking of him made me think of the only other "professional" con-man in our group, Sawyer. So I suddenly realized (and I'm fairly certain) that we, and presumably Sawyer, never found out who the original "Sawyer" who conned his mom and led to so much tragedy was. What if Locke's dad was the original con-man?
Do you think the recent revelation of shared-daddy connections between Claire and Jack make a similar connection between Sawyer and Lock more or less likely?
ok, going back to lurking now.

Good to see you. I can't recall if we've raised the possibility here before, but I know the possibility that Locke's dad is the original Sawyer has been bandied about in other forums; Jeff Jensen even mentioned it in his TVWatch review of last night's ep. Regardless, it's definitely something worth considering, particularly given how intertwined the past lives of our castaways tend to be.

Nice to see you de-lurked! This sounds like a pretty good theory to me and it would be interesting to see it play out just like that.

One answer. Another whole boatload of questions. On the other hand, Locke has gone completely off the deep end and there's no telling what he'll do next. That should be interesting. I did, however, appreciate the look on Danielle's face when she saw her baby. That was lovely, and beautifully played. Still giving it until the end of this season. After that, We Shall See.
