Well, I'm glad that super nice girl said the thing to Veronica about getting even mabe not being the best choice.
Also - still not ready to totally believe that Mr Mars is not her real daddy. Because creepy crazy prison guy didn't strike me as the most reliable storyteller.

I thought about it earlier, then got involved in dinner, etc and just now panicked and wondered if it had been opened. So, thanks. Lola--eetah, yepper-doodles, and I'm with you 100%! For several episodes now, esp last week there have been big honking neon signs yelling, "Maybe Jake is Veronica's daddy!" Way too obvious. Louanne Mars didn't clearly didn't like the idea of V dating D but surely she would have warned Veronica off more strongely, or even confessed the truth if she thought her daughter might have sex with her half-brother. And----who the heck is Abel Koontz, that he would know that Louanne got pregnant by Jake 18 years ago (assuming that it is not common knowledge)? Also agree--why would you trust a guy who has falsely confessed to murder. Clearly he will tell any lie he has been paid to tell. I'm guessing he was forewarned that Veronica would try to talk to him, shown a picture and told if she showed up to be sure to tell her this lie. My money is still on Mrs. Kane--for the murder and the lie. No more now--got family/holiday stuff to attend to. Plus--got to save what thoughts I do have on the episode for my "review". P.S.-- Patti--your storms and tornadoes now moving into TN.

You're welcome Sue - it had to be opened before I created the Opening post for the main thread so the link there would be right. It was no problem. The storm is just now hitting here. I'm going to get offline and do what I need to do while I have power. See you guys Saturday.

I have no deep thoughts. I thought it was Kimmy but allowed myself to be fooled into thinking that was too easy a guess. I was even getting suspicious of Meg for a while but I'm glad she really was who she appeared to be because I do want there to be some good people at Neptune High.
I like Mac, hope we see her again.
Can I just say... I loved the numbers on the lockers. I can't believe school officials wouldn't have actively been trying to punish kids for defacing so much school property but it was still a pretty cool idea.
The slut-sneezing was fabulous... as was valley girl Veronica, "We're like total BFFs!"
Poor VM... "You used to be all anyone gossiped about..." and also, "Am I naked because, in my nightmares, I'm usually naked."
Not sure what I think about Able. What would make you willing to go to jail for a murder you didn't commit? I feel for Veronica but she's got the resources to get this checked out doesn't she?? DNA testing is possible and she's devious enough to get the DNA she needs to do it.

I mean, her mom for sure would have been the one knowing for sure who was daddy and we haven't seen one bit of evidence that she had a problem with V. dating Duncan. Lola And now, I must to bed!

When she's in the kitchen with Wallace and thinking "sometimes it does bother me" - the look on her face? Just heartbreaking! Lola Going to bed now, really!

Some of my favorite quotes from this evening's episode:
- "Ahh, somebody describe second base to me. Tell me what it's like. Is it beautiful there?"
- "That had to be worth at least two points."
- "I'd believe cartoon birds braided your hair this morning."
- "Apparently I've pleasured the swim team while jacked up on goof balls."
- "You ready to put the hurt on that Pythagorean theorem?"
- "One of those Britney Spears virgins."
- "All fours, huh, Dick? You mess with the bull..."
- "Funny... no one's come running up to me."
- "You do have friends, Veronica."

I missed most of the episode. What was the whole deal with Wallace and his mom's tenant? And Veronica's dad scaring him off like he did by acting crazy. That was just weird - that whole thing. Rae - thanks for the quotes. I loved the "Am I naked? Because in my nightmares I'm usually naked." Duncan and Veronica. *sigh* Could it be any more obvious there is some connection? Not brother and sister I hope. I agree that Koontz was lying and VERY Hannibal Lectorish. I just had the feeling that he was protecting Veronica in some way - or protecting Mrs. Kane. I think she did it, too. And I also don't think Jake is Veronica's dad. But there is something there. (duh) Patti - Have a great Thanksgiving!

Thanks Karen - I had to get back online to say the one thing that struck me the most - Mac might be Veronica's Willow. She even resembled her a little to me - I hope she becomes a regular.

OK - so we the Joyce to Keith's Giles, and the Hacker-Willow to Veronica's Buffy. Meg sure was a nice girl. I hope Veronica makes some girl friends here. I was glad someone told Veronica she needed to rethink the "getting even" thing.
Abel knew Lianne? That I believe, but he seemed to be implying he might have had a thing with her, which I don't believe. But, man he is more than kinda crazy. Uh-oh! There he goes, speaking to Veronica's worst fears: that Dad isn't really her dad. I still don't buy it. Oh! Poor Veronica! This actress is doing a good job.
The whole episode was about breaking in, and the damage people can do if they get inside. Breaking into the email accounts, breaking into Wallace's house, breaking into the tenant's apartment, Veronica finding a way to fake her way into the prison . . .
So many lies and misrepresentations.
Be an example to your brother. Be more like your sister.
Well - it is too late and I just haven't made complete sense out of the episode yet.
I liked it though.

Yepper doodles to you as well, Sue. Yes - you would think that at that point, she'd have sat Veronica down and told her "the truth." Good point. I can't go along on that one . . . Mrs Kane has done nothing to make me think she is a lying murderer. Abel struck me as much too crazy to be anyone's partner in a scheme. Or like someone who would do stuff for money. What good is money gonna do him? And . . . he's not the kinda guy you scheme with, and then count on to do his part. I think he knew who Veronica Mars was for the reason he said he knew: She looks like her mom, and he knew her mom when she was younger. He already knew Keith had been after Jake, so he put two and two together. Type it up, blow it a kiss, and send it in to Vlad.
