So it looks like we have more people pretending to be what they're not this episode, eh?
And . . . . what did you do, Celeste? Hmmmmm?
Perhaps some of our Celeste speculations might be on target, eh?
Lola
Posting from HOME! ;D

Lola Posting from HOME! ;D I think Celeste had the security guy take those photos of Veronica, to chase V's mom out of town....even more hint that Veronica is Duncan's sister... And raise your hand if you're sorry Logan's dad got stabbed/possibly killed..... *looks around* waiting....waiting.... nope, me either. I thought this was one of the best episodes so far. I enjoyed the locked room type of detective work, and 'the worst strip poker game ever'...LOL - Logan and Duncan...awwww.... Lots of good stuff, despite the very dark ending and Veronica's well-earned cynicism. (is that spelled right?)

I'm also thinking though, that the bit with daddy Kane yelling at Celeste could be taken a couple different ways. That she is the one who set the detective on Veronican and sent the pics to her mom, yes. But also, could he have been yelling because it was her that started the story that Veronica is his daughter, so when V said the thing about him being her dad, he immediately thought of Celeste. And the story could then also still be a lie. I was a little sad for Mr. Echols. Well, the kind of basic "no human should get stabbed except in self defence" kind of sorry. But that's about it. 'Cuz everytime we get another bit of info about him it ain't good, is it? The two cases - Veronica's and her dad's - I really liked both of them. They each had me trying to figure it out. For a while, I was thinking that Mrs. Echols was the one, 'cuz she was mad about him sleeping around. It made me totally forget about my first thought of "what about the girl he had fired". Of course it was a nice touch that he'd slept with her too. Lola Logan and Duncan were just cute as the dickens. And the strip poker was . . . niiiiice. ;D

I also thought it was a good episode. Have some review ideas. Just need to get some time/privacy to write. Going to bed and hope to get up early to write. Lots of thoughts. Strip poker--high school kids in boxers--not hot, just cute (remember, I've got a kid that age). But the actor guy with the sweating abs--that was nice.

Uh - this episode was called "Silence of the Lamb." The next ep is supposed to be called "An Echolls Family Christmas."
This seemed more like it should have been called "An Echolls Family Christmas," no? Because the "Silence of the Lamb" title . . . I thought for sure it would include at least a peek at Sheriff Lamb, no? And. . . how does that title fit this ep?
I liked the episode. I liked the Jake/Veronica confrontation, and he was obviously lying to Veronica - he had an idea, anyhow, what Clarence was doing spying on Veronica, thought Celeste may have had to do with it . . . he knows something.
I liked the "Agatha Christie," gather the suspects together thing. I liked the stabbing, and the way they cut from the carolers to the wounded Aaron to Logan, etc.
Have had no time to think about it overall, and must get to bed. Later, S'cubes.

Veronica said something about Jake being her dad? Are you sure? I don't remember her saying a word about it. I've got it on tape, but am too lazy and tired right now. Will check. Mrs Echolls - that actresses' fakey lips are so horrible I could hardly stand to look at her. Hard to get past. OK. Really bed now!!

Heh.. "Did you two call each other?"
And who was the Lamb to the slaughter? Weevil? Aaron?
I figured that it was the chicky who got fired. Looks like she got him in the spleen there, doesn't it?
He could live through it.
I'm thinking Aaron, because of his silence about all his little exploits being what set him up to be all icepicked in the splenic region.
Entertaining story.

My UPN affiliate called this "An Echolls Family Christmas" in the schedule grid. Interesting.

Well, I could be wrong, but I thought she said something that implied it in her last line or two. I actually did tape it this time (yay me! who says I can't learn from my mistakes ;D ) so I will have to watch again. I agree with those that say Mr Kane did know something, though. 'Cuz why else would he understand enough of what Veronica was saying to run off to Celeste that way? Boy - was he mad, eh? Lola

Very good story. Lots of great plotty-ness, but also some excellent character stuff - both large (Veronica and Mr. Kane, Echolls Sr) and subtle (Keith seeing V and Mr. K thru the glass, Weevil noticing how much the guy's remarks about his mom bothered Logan). Lola Huh. My affiliate called it A Echolls Family Christmas, too. And that would make more sense for the ep we saw.

Spring-- TV Guide has this episode listed as "An Echolls' Family Christmas." I don't know where Patti got the other title (the next two weeks are repeats on TV Guide--my only source of title information--she must have some other site which looks further into the future). I'm going to use my moderator status and change the title of this episode. And now I see both Lola and Matthew are well ahead of me. Apologies for not reading ahead first. (It's not like there were 15 pages. )

Now open for episode discussion! Hey, gang: Notice that I have changed the title of the episode, based on Spring's query, the episode content, and the TV Guide Listing. However, if you quote from one of the earlier posts the "Silence of the Lambs" topic heading will follow with your quote. I started to change all of the title headings, but then it looks like I modified all of your posts (see Lola's first post). So--either start comments with a fresh "reply" or, if quoting, also stop and change the title heading and that should prevent us from having a confusing montage of "SOTL" and "AEFC" headings. Thanks, Sue
