I'm more or less assuming since everybody here is a Spike-lover, that you all know about www.btvs-tabularasa.net/ But, just in CASE there is any poor unforunate soul missing out on this incredible Spike-site, please go there ASAP and read the incredibly awesome reviews (just don't let them give you an inferiority complex).

Robert says: "Hey, I saw some of those disapproving expressions. Do I have to reference some previous posts from a few of you regarding a certain someone? I am a guy, and it's allowed in the Bylaws Of Masculinity for me to make the occasional piggish reference. "
ROBERT: Are you comparing our scholarly discussions about our academic, scientific research to your insensitive, demeaning, objectifying man-talk? I am deeply offended.

I certainly did not attempt to offend when I made mention that the character of Gwen Raiden is hot. Under no circumstances would I dream of upsetting the carefully crafted decorum that exists here.
There is nothing in this world that would cause me to intentionally jeopardize the respectful, mature bond that has slowly developed between this mostly female board and myself.
Unless, of course, Gwen were to disrobe and lay her naked form on her bed for me to see. They'd never do something like that, so......OH MY LORD!! Gunn....you magnificent bastard!! Redford's got nothing on you, buddy. You are the real Electric Horseman. YEEEEEEHAAAAAAA!!!
Ahem.....as I was saying, respect and decorum are my watchwords. I sincerely hope that such an issue will never have to be raised between us again. Thank you and have a pleasant evening.

I get the feeling Alexandra just popped in on us to give us a couple of pictures and to make sure we were all playing nicely...then left without noticing the MANY appeals for her to move us.
Ah, well. If so, she'll likely get my e-mail tomorrow. If not one way, then another.
What with the new Angel (Cordy's outed--in just about ALL senses!) and the furious scribbling, this has been some kind of day!

Thanks Nan. Any future featuring a horizontal position with Spike is a thing to be desired!

My Spike, the Fighter essay out on the board has attracted some notice beyond the local group. One Ann, whose name I recognize but now cannot retrieve (Nichols?), has added a series of posts in which she mentions briefly those things she doesn't agree with in all the preceding posts. Her chief objection to my essay, I believe, is that I didn't sufficiently distinguish between "almost rape" and "attempted rape," a thing of which I fear I am guilty, having used the more common phrase. I'm not sure what's more unsettling--being agreed with or picked at in tiny bites.
Take a look if you have a very odd sense of humor, as I do.

Rob said 'Electro-Girl=Ebulgence. Picture me standing with my hands on my hips like Yul Brynner in The King and I (complete with accent). "Bathe her. Then bring her to me." ' Rob, actually I have no problem picturing you like that, except now I'm always going to picture you bald.
By the way, 9 months pregnant and Charisma Carpenter is still as sexy as all get out. Does that make me strange? Ok....let me rephrase. Is there anything creepy in an Oedipal sort of way about it? I hope not. I have enough issues I can't figure out.
I don't think its Oedipal. I think guys are supposed to think pregnancy is gorgeous. Your taste in maternity clothing however, is questionable. In the words of Buffy after drinking Spike's liquor...'blaaeecchhh!'
OH, did you guys know Charisma had a baby boy Monday? Saw it on Slayage.com

I go post on the episode board when there is a new Buffy or Angel and then quickly come home. I just think they should have the benefit of my vision on these things. I think I was from Pittsburgh in another life.

Rob, that post made me laugh so loud I scared my CATS! Priceless!
And I liked Gunn a LOT this episode. He kicked butt almost as well as Spike, and he was fighting multiple guys. I'm glad he got the action tonight (in more ways than one). I like him with Gwen more than with Fred anyway. They just never seemed to have any real heat between them, and I can NOT say that about the scene with him and Gwen. Although I kinda thought she was perfect for Angel.

Yes - you were good, Nan, and waited. People who posted right after the episode aired labeled their posts as you recommended a few parts ago.
What I don't agree with is that it had all been said. After reading your post #594, everyone can see that it had NOT all been said. I enjoyed your summing up of Spike's journey very much. It made his progression much clearer to me after reading your post.
If you bring that much clarity to every new episode then I, for one, hope you post "late" every time.

Sorry, everyone. I was out of town. Got back a few hours ago and have been trying to read 280 posts that showed up after I left. I'm still reading, but everyone can go ahead to the 'Part 14' and I'll catch up soon.
See you there!

Ahha, I see. Again, you made sense of a confusing point. It works for me.
Thanks, Nan.
