Even though they haven't mentioned the rape on the show, they talked about it in the October 10th diary entry on the official site. That diary entry is heartbreaking. Hey wyk (I saw your note to Spring that the bbb is arbitary so I think of you as "Wick")-- I've been following the diary entries and case files myself. I haven't said much about them here because they contain information not specifically shown on onscreen and therefore potentially "spoilery" by our rules. (Altho I in know way think what you just said was.) But there are other things that I've found very interesting and informative about her private thoughts. I've wondered whether those entries are being done by someone closely associated with the show. They seem way too insightful to be written by some UPN suit or intern. Got any ideas? And, along with Bluesman and artemis, welcome also. There have been a few other recent nubie sign up, I hope they feel up to delurking soon as well.

Altho, if you've only made one post (the above) where did I read that the bbb was arbitrary? Am I going nuts and imagining things or have you been robbed of one out of two posts?

Loved your review, Spring! I finally got to watch the entire episode. Thank goodness for VCRs. I especially liked your water imagery list. There are so many scenes that either take place poolside or oceanside. Logan's mom was supposed to have jumped off the bridge. And Lilly was killed by the pool. I wonder what the difference between pool scenes and natural water scenes mean to the writer. That last scene with Logan really got to me. It followed right on the heels of Veronica apologizing to Yolanda and Yolanda accepting the apology with a "I would have done the same if I had been in your shoes." I wonder if Logan, along with seeking Veronica's forgiveness, has also forgiven Veronica for telling Lilly about the kiss between him and Yolanda. In thinking about whether or not Logan's mom is alive, I wonder if she has abandoned him, then that is much the same as what Veronica's mother did to her - left her and her dad without a word. Also, and I'm probably way off base, when Logan's dad told his agent he was quitting the business, the first thought I had was that he and his wife staged the whole thing. Maybe to prop up his career? Maybe they are going to meet up in another country because they have money problems? I don't know. It was just a feeling I got that his dramatic exit was too dramatic. Thanks, Spring! Welcome Bluesman! I hope you get a chance to chat with the S'cubies on the main board sometime. Interesting thoughts, Karen! (And eetah on your VCR appreciation - seeing as I still have 2 Nip/Tucks and a Medium waiting for me to have time to watch them!) Your comparison of Logan and Veronica with V and Yolanda was a very good one. A forgiveness theme. I had kind of the same thought about Logan's mom and Veronica's mom sharing similarities, but I hadn't thought about both the Echolls being in on some kind of plot together. I have my suspicions about him - I go back and forth between thinking he was really upset and thinking he's gonna try and use her death/disappearance somehow. Lola

Loved your review, Spring! Thank you! I think Veronica and Logan are a lot alike - in fact, I think that "echoey" last name is deliberate. I think both parties are using each other as punching bags, when they are truly angry at themselves and others (including Lilly). I think forgiveness will be halting - but it will happen and will be mutual. The possibilities are endless of what has happened to Lynn . . . which I don't really like at this point, because we have so many other mysteries. Like Bluesman, I am just trusting Rob Thomas for now.

So this is an ultra-rich rapper?
talk about post-modern. Heh.
Whoa, Clueless moment.
So Veronica knew this guys daughter, but had no idea who her father was.
We used to be friends, a long time ago. theme song ref. BWAH!!
Vengeance
Hey cool transition again. I like it.
She's my friend. Who are you?
So Duncan, Logan, Dick, and Lilly know Yolanda too. At least vaguely.
Aaron/Logan interaction.
Aaron is genuinely grieved?
That's the fondest memory of your wife?
Plausible denialability.
Sister is in Sydney, involved in movies as well?
And who am I? That question again.
Ghetto speak.
The brother had something to do with it.
Duncan as an evesdropper.
Jealous streak on a man.
Yolanda was the girl that Veronica caught Logan kissing?
Quick thinking Veronica.
Hard act as a way of coping.
Note to paparazzi: don't cross Logan
Geeky outcast, like Mac
party is after homecoming
Yep, Yolanda was the girl. And that's why "they used to be friends." Interesting.
Logan putting on an act in an over the top way.
Hypocrisy
Aaron making a turn around? Really?
It's not Lynn's reception, it's Aaron's.
Free at Last.
She didn't disappear at night though.
First stage of grieving: denial.
She's not dead; she escaped. Didn't seem to be in the right state of mind for that, though.
In or out, Veronica. In or out. Veronica as a shunner rather than a shunee.
It's a trap.
If the cops are so great, what aren't you still one?
It's raining. Of course.
Dumbest kidnapper ever or the smartest.
Wants the ring, not the money.
If it's the brother, is Yolanda in on it too? And they both made a get away?
It is the brother. And Yolanda did just run away.
I think she tried to get my dad's attention. I may have stolen some of her thunder.
You can be mad, but you can't call me soft.
She eloped! And married Bloom! Hee! Awesome.
And again we have a kid looking for a parent who is believed to be dead.
Good partnership between Keith and Veronica, with unsettled question of just how involved Veronica is to get in the PI business.
