Where the hell WOULD you put a camera on an iPod nano? He's not gonna like it if you do tell him..(wallace). Don't worry, he'll find it out on his own soon enough. Veronica is trying to save your life.. "To love and win is the best thing: to love and lose, the next best" Thackery... huh, a comment.... Is that the chicago "cop"? BREAK IN, V.or he's gonna get killed. I think that Mr. C has given him.. permission. Ooooh, I was thinking something along those lines, too!!! Yep. A real rat bastard. I'm thinking Curly was trying to find Veronica to either tell her something or get her help with something.

Just watched this morning. Wow, what a good episode! Sheriff Lamb is a cute dummass. ;D Yep. We keep getting these good parent / bad parent comparisons, don't we? ;D Want to see that great chase scene at the end, eh? ;D Well, we can only hope . . . now that we see the Others have a bunker too.

Gosh, poor little Beav, um, Cassidy, gets no attention from dad at all, does he? And yet I don't think he's hiring Veronica because he wants to hurt dad, I think he's really trying to "save" him. Probably because he thinks if he does, then his dad will really love him. Which is so not very likely at all. He's more likely to resent him and link him to the feeling of betrayal. He didn't seem to resent him - I thought he was going to deck him when it all went down. But nope - he ran away. Poor Cassiday. Lost a dad and a friend all in one day. Poor Cassiday. He doesn't even really register on Dad's radar, even when he started the whole house of cards a tumblin'.

Ooohhh - and again with the fashion choices. Curly and Aaron Echolls? Boy, this is heating up now. I didn't catch the gym bag bit either. Wow - great start! Would've looked good on a 12 year old. She looked good on the exercise bike - do you think that was a body double? I hear the actors like to use them. Could have been, but it looked like her tattoo. On the other hand, they can fake that as well.

;D Ahem. I mean, yes! Shocked I am! Truly! And poor woobie Logan - with his "where were you this summer?" to Duncan. Granted, I can understand why Duncan wouldn't have been in the mood to be all buddy buddy with the son of the guy who killed his sister. The guy dating the woman he liked. Although, Logan has a point too. He's not exactly his dad's big fan. I mean, he beat the crap out of him, was not too nice to mom, sleeps with and kills his girlfriend, and then tries to kill the next girlfriend. I felt bad for both Logan and Duncan. They seem to take the opposite stance when dealing with hurt. One withdraws and the other lashes out. Huh. Much like the Neptune parents in general seem to do. Ooooh, good one! Both on the description of the difference between Logan and Duncan and the comparison to the screwed up Neptune world.

My initial thoughts before reading everyone else's posts in a general reactionary - not analytical way of things I liked: Loved, loved, loved the scene with Lamb. I had watched it on the preview on tvguide.com but still .. . . .bwah!!!!!! That was terrific. Every line was full of snark and a fabulous give and take between Bell and Muhvey. I want to sit every one of my acting students down and say here - watch this! I loved the going to the prom reference and then the David Caruso reference cracked me up - mostly because I can't stand Caruso. I loved Veronica's Damn you're good! after her fake confession. Hee, hee. I also enjoyed watched tortured Beaver er Cassidy. And Dick - honestly, there are not enough words to describe the awesomeness that is Dick. From the Candy to the dog track (hee, hee) to the fake worry over Logan and Beaver not being in school - Dick was fabulous! I can see all the Candy icons now! Ah, Dick! The dog track stuff had me rolling!! Perfectly done slightly lame high school fighting between guys that don't really want to hurt each other. I was really glad to have some of the larger issues between them start to come out, too. ;D Definitely interested to see how this is gonna turn out. Except, I'm like Karen too, in that I want Alicia and Keith to just be able to be a nice couple!! Loved the "shred everything" panic. Interesting how they all pretty much jumped to obey. Not a lot of folks gonna be able to claim "I was just a flunky, I didn't know anything".

Mrs. Echolls!!!!Heh, Cassidy did not expect THAT reaction.. So that's what panic looks like in a fraudulent company when the boom comes down.. There was no shredding in ours when the FDLE came in and took the accounting computer and stuff, but that's because my old boss was a lot more small-time than Casablancas.. And just abandons his son on the spot..... At least he didn't hurt him... too quick of a need to do a bunk to do it.. huh. Maybe he (Curly) didn't arrange the accident.. maybe he arranged for Mrs. Echolls to fake her death, and was trying to find Veronica to let her know.. I dunno, my friend. I didn't go to Mrs. Echolls (whose car was found parked), but instead to the bus that plummeted off the cliff.

Weevil's?! Wow, I so don't remember that. Lamb said they found it outside the bar where Curly was last seen... Yep. Here's the screen cap of Weevil and the earring: Wow! Excellent catch, that. #clap#

Busy at work so I can't stay around to respond to all the posts I just read but wanted to clarify that it was an iPod Shuffle not Nano. I'm still not sure how the hell she would get a camera on it but it wouldn't be as hard to disguise on a Shuffle as opposed to a Nano.

Wow! Excellent catch, that. Heh, thanks. I actually noticed it mostly because Francis is known for wearing a lot of bling bling and it threw me for a second - thinking maybe he'd forgotten to remove it or had gotten permission to bring a little of it over into his role. I mean, it's a bit overdone when Francis wears it and it's not really Weevil's usual style. So, it stood out the second I saw it.

Since I already posted about all the things I loved - here are some of the things I didn't love:
Too much voiceover. I get that they are trying to bring nubies up to speed but there were just too many voiceovers in this episode. KB can act some of the things we're having to listen too. Veronica doesn't like Jackie - check. Really didn't need the VO telling us that.
Jackie - okay they are rubbing it in our faces now so she must bring about world peace at the end of the season. First she disses Jane Austen, then she's out with someone other than Wallace? (which I don't think was terrible at all - hello, they've been out what? Once? ) But I get the impression that we aren't supposed to like her. (which reminds me of a certain OPJ from last season we weren't supposed to like) Acting wise - better than last week, still not Cold Case knocking it out of the park acting.
The ending scene. So anticlimatic. I would have liked it to end on the poster. We didn't need to see the very dull breakdown in Duncan's arms.

Yep. Here's the screen cap of Weevil and the earring: Hmmmm. And, biker bar, so that would make sense . . . Maybe Weevil gave Veronica's name to Curly? Yeah, even with their estrangement, I think he'd reccomend her to someone as a person you can trust.

I'm still not sure how the hell she would get a camera on it but it wouldn't be as hard to disguise on a Shuffle as opposed to a Nano. Thanks, Rae! I'm sorry, I've misplaced my Field Guide to iPods... I just saw the ad for the "nano" in the "sky mall" magazine the other day, and made an ass of u and mption. Appreciate the correction. Still, where WOULD you hide a camera on an iPod shuffle, even? no dark, camera-shaped aperatures on the front....(from what I've seen). *runs off to Apple website to look closer* ETA: AH! That explains what she plugged directly into the usb port. okay. So, still, whereinhell was the camera?

I think it's perhaps because I really ENJOY VO type stuff: some of my favorite movies are loaded with it. Fight Club, Blade Runner (NON-director's cut)... Of course, I also really like First-person written novels, too. *Shrugs* Yeah, some of the VO didn't really serve plot purposes, but it didn't stand out to me as much. It's not a convention I covered in any of my film classes, so I've never thought too deeply on it. Interesting. Durnit, now there's another thing I'll be paying attention to.
