Brainshare! My thoughts exactly! It also made me wonder about that part where he wanted to take her to get a slushy (didn't he? I didn't tape it and can't remember for sure). Yeah, he told her Dick was working the slushie machine and she should go see him... something about he's good with royalty? I can't remember the exact quote right now but it was weird. I can't figure out what that was about. I doubt Dick is in on his plan but what why would he encourage her to go see him? Just getting her by himself? Personally, if I was trying to win her over, I'd keep her away from Dick as long as possible. ETA: Oh, I can't remember the order of the comments there. I was thinking that maybe he used the Dick thing to set up calling her "Princess" but I think he did that part first and then told her to go visit Dick. I know Logan told Hannah that Dick was working the machine, but VERONICA was the one actually working the slushy machine, wasn't she? My first thought was, "oh, he wants to go try and make Veronica jealous!" But then at the end, with the Dr Griffith stuff, it made me wonder if he wasn't taking her to see Veronica so she could see he'd made planned contact with Griffith's daughter . . . In truth, I can't remember the details of this scene. I wish I had taped it all.

She was out helping solve the mystery of the disappear money at that point. I'm assuming all of the FBLA people had to take turns working the slushy machine. Except Logan, apparently... Later (or maybe before that?) we see Beaver working it with Mac watching on so that's why I figured the whole group was switching off throughout the day and it was Dick's turn.

So . . . I guess Logan was just finding a way to get Hannah off into the crowd with him, buy her something (a slushy), introduce her to a friend (a good thing to do if you're trying to make a girl feel like you are really interested), and just in general "get in good" with her.

Wow - 7 pages already. I will go back and read as time permits but my initial, non-scubified thoughts below:
Another great episode! Whee! I actually applauded out loud at one point for Veronica. I loved deDuncaned Veronica. She was fabulous this episode.
I truly loved the full out dunk into all the mysteries. Bus Crash answers - Terrence Cook and Keith scene - Keith was wonderful. I loved this scene. Keith can be a background person sometimes in VM - he's there, we love him but our gal Veronica is front and center on the mysteries. But then we see episodes like last week's sleuthing and this week's interrogation which show how very much Veronoica is indeed like her father.
Especially in the way he took the case, even after the throwing the game relevation. Very nicely done there. More sports corruption, connected to the bus crash. Cook is most likely another big Red Herring but the suspects are all stepping up to the plate aren't they?
And we continue the quest to uncover the truth about Felix. I was spoiled so I knew Logan was playing Hannah but I still loved the little aha moment at the car. Hannah was very cute, very giggly - but came across as if she was 13! Seriously - this gal is much too young to be a love interest for Logan. Her reactions were very much a middle school vibe, as opposed to high school.
And looking at Hannah next to Madison (who looked gorgeous) or Veronica and the actual age difference is glaring (20 somethings playing teens as opposed to an actual teen).
Still - she was very sweet and Logan was very smoopy and can we say Sugar overload?
I for one feel so much better about an eventual Logan/Veronica reunion. Their opening banter was terrific - very season one without the venom that was there all fall.
What's your poison? Emotionally unavailable women.
Hee, hee - love that line. Plus Logan is completely checking her out before the dialogue starts. So, so cute.
Random I loved this:
Thumper with a snake and the double cross. Nice job Weevil.
Principal Van Clemmons final line about listening to students and the look he shot Veronica.
Wallace deliberately throwing the balls away. Awwww - that was great. Just great. I love me some Wallace.
Mac/Cassiday pulling one over the Dick. I'm not in the awwwww could M/C be any more puppy dog adorable crowd - I mean they are cute and I do like them. But nice one. Still Dick - even I knew that was a guy? He must have been really, really horny.
(Sidenote: Dick seemed especially venomous this episode. More like Season 1 Dick than hail fellow, funny line Dick of Season 2)
Veronica! Veronica was fabulous. Snarky lines, solving the mystery - loved her. KB's timing was impeccable last night too.
Logan - very smoopied last night but his snark was great.
Hot date? Rain check?
Hee, hee, hee.
Continuity - The Triton picture, Mrs. Hauser, and Corny was there. Hi Corny!
Jackie - great job by Tessa T. last night. Total character redemption and to me - acting redemption. I knew she had the chops - I saw her Cold Case episode, tonight for the first time I saw some terrific acting from her -other than the overacted, overplayed Blast from the Past. Nice job.
Things I didn't like as much:
Weevil -yikes! What is that on your head? I didn't like the vibe they were giving off last night between him and Veronica either. I do not want to see a Veronica/Weevil romance. This show would indeed become Everybody loves Veronica. I like them so much better as friends.
Mrs. Hauser's lines - whew. A little nasty there.
Questions:
I'm wondering who Sally is.
I wonder if Veronica's lack of desire to go to Catalina has anything to do with the aborted date with Logan there in M.A.D.
Anyway - I'm probably forgetting things but these are my initial impressions.
Rae - is this the episode you are reviewing? I can't wait to read it after reading your initial impressions.
I love the song Ain't no Mountain high enough.
Hey - there were alot of mountain references in this episode weren't there? Eep - my brain has been Sue/Springified.

Huh. It being thumper is too pat. I think it's the ol' bitch, still. License plate numbers on the paddle. Trophy? <SNIP> "Is there anything you don't know?" <SNIP> *Sigh* Feet of clay. Taking the case anyways. "You're Terrence Cook. You wouldn't kill a busfull of kids. I still believe that" Man, that was... moving. Heh.. Eli. Oh, SO freakin' cool... Gotta respect his skills. "McQueen or Brosnan?" Heh.. her agenda matched his!! Was that crown over his "Familia" tattoo last week? Heh.. "Thomas Crown affair"" And huh. Got a repeat of this week's episode in the preview for next week's. Quoting myself because I have pretensions of being cool. Allrightie: when Cook asked Keith if "there was anything he didn't know", I had a very "Sid Halley" moment... and I was moved very much by Keith taking the case: by the fact that he was saying that he still saw goodness in his hero, despite the clay feet: that even if he was not a complete innocent, he is innocent of this crime. Regarding the paddle/coup stick: Was it data that the gang needed to keep around, or was it simply counting coup on stolen cars? Was that Eli's, planted in Thumper's locker to implicate him in the thefts of those cars? Or was Thumper doing the coup-counting? That was a LOT of cars. I suppose we will see as time goes on.... LOVED Wallace for his what, three lines? And I wonder what this "Sally" situation Cassidy blackmailed/fended off his sociopathic brother with was.... And MaCassidy! So cute, giggling over the escort service webpage!Jackie? Has huevos of steel. I like her more and more with each episode. I'm assuming that they ordered the escort for Dick from there, yes?

Heeee! Grease sugar shack reference. Madison. Oh, the wonderful horrible Madison. Awwwwww. Uncle Eli. "Shooting in a clown's mouth. Your future's bright, Dick." Ooooh. Wallace and his "special lady friend"! Dang! That was a nice sneaky move with the money. Fast! I love Madison. She's like Cordy before she was Scoobied. I loved the continuity of having tests being copied as in season 1 and yet I loved how she wasn't the culprit. I have enjoyed every scene Madison has been in - she is an excellent character.

I wonder what he'll look like with hair - since it looks like he's growing it out. And nice ride he has - Veronica's color - green. I thought they took hair off Logan's head, and put it on Weevil's. **snicker** He did have a little bit of a cut, didn't he? **nods**

Heck yeah. Yes, I thought it was strange that he mentioned "my friend Dick" too. Why would Logan want her to meet him? As usual, I'm going to have to watch the episode again before I can completely absorb everything that happened, but a couple things occurred to me when I watched last night. I don't like Logan's hair that short, but it does make him look younger. And that is a good thing, considering Hannah appears to be about twelve years old. Oh thank heaven someone else thought that too! She's just a baby! (Of course, dad is a plastic surgeon . . . #smirk#) Yep. Either way, bad feelings are in the mix. Either hers or his. **nods** Everything just keeps looking worse and worse for Terrance. Yet he doesn't hit my "creep vibe meter" like Woody does. Well, I thought about that a bit myself. I think there is a difference between one death that happened quite a while ago, to a girl that a lot of them probably secretly kinda . . . well, not sneered at, but probably thought of as wild and so on. People are often kind of stupid and not very nice, so I can see them having different reactions about Lily's death. After learning the circumstances, that she was sleeping with Aaron, etc. and adding in the fact that he's a movie star (folks just love to forgive stars) I can see a lot of them thinking "she deserved it" or "well, it was kind of her fault" or other similar icky thoughts. The bus crash is recent and involved a lot of kids and so on. And so it has that emotional impact. Also, to be totally cynical (and this is Neptune High, so why not), there is probably some element of romanticizing the dead and vicariously getting a thrill out of being in the spotlight all emotional about it. Kind of a "Heathers" thing, ya know? Because it's not like these same kids really cared about most of the students on the bus (heck, they weren't 'O9ers for the most part), and yet they made the bus driver's daughter's life a living hell too. **nods** Yes, quite a lot of this is to get our sympathy for Jackie, like last week's inclusion of her in the con job was to show us how she can become part of Veronica's "team". I also think that this is to continue to show us how quickly you can rise or fall in popularity at Neptune High. (Heck, any high school.) Like Veronica at the start of the series, like Weevil is experiencing now, etc.

I don't like Logan's hair that short, but it does make him look younger. And that is a good thing, considering Hannah appears to be about twelve years old. She's cute as a button, she is. Logan is obviously using her to get to her father, Dr. Griffiths, and it will be interesting to see how that plays out. One of two things will most likely happen: 1) Logan will start to develop real feelings for her, or 2) he'll dump her as soon as he outs her father as a perjurer. Frankly, I don't know if I like either choice! Weevil is starting to transform himself out of his gang member persona, into...what? Can't wait to find out. I like that he is growing his hair out. And his niece Ophelia is so cute! Are Veronica and Weevil going to hook up? How will Keith feel about that, I wonder? And speaking of Keith--he is a better person than I (better person than me? I? See, I told you I wasn't a grammar nazi!) Keith had to confront Terrence twice about secrets he was keeping. First, he showed him the picture of Cook with Ms. Dumas, and secondly, played the audio of his convo with Sheriff Lamb about gambling. Both of those secrets seems to further implicate Cook in some way, so why would Keith be willing to take his case? Maybe Keith is right, and Cook wouldn't kill a bunch of kids, but that doesn't mean he's completely innocent. I do like Cook though, I don't get a creepy vibe like I do from Woody. I feel like we, the viewers, are being manipulated a bit into liking Jackie. Would kids at the school really be that cruel to Jackie because her father was accused of playing a part in the bus crash? Does Logan get the same treatment? His father murdered one of their class mates (Lilly), and is accused of killing one (Felix) himself and yet Logan seems just as popular as before with his fellow 09-ers. But Rob Thomas wants us to sympathize with Jackie, so she gets taunted by Dick, has rude things written about her in a bathroom stall, gets dunked in the dunk tank a million times, and accused of theft by Madison and the bitchy Ms. Hauser. I actually do like Jackie now more because of this episode, but I'm fully aware that I'm being manipulated into feeling that way. Whatever. Hey Fotada! Fellow non-grammar Nazi! Keith's willingness to help Mr. Cook puzzles me, too. Can it really be all about 'hero-worship', or is Keith taking the case to stay close to him so that he can dig out even more of his secrets? I think he must have other things he isn't telling Keith. Rob T could be manipulating us to feel sympathy for Jackie, or he could be showing us once again, the double standard in Neptune. Veronica also got ostracized when her father was accused last season (as Jackie pointed out), so I think it's more likely to be the case that he's showing us that the rich kids (Logan) get a pass in Neptune, and the poor kids (or kids of color) don't. To answer your question - "Would kids really be that cruel?" Oh, yeah - they'd follow the lead of the major players of their group. Sheep. That's what was so cool about Wallace stepping up and taunting the crowd. He isn't a sheep. Or what she said. #metoo# ;D **nods nods nods**

Loved his stroll thru the fair with the snake, all his little moves, the way he's so cock-of-the-walk and intimidating and then . . . bam - there's the cops and the principal and he's soooooo clueless. ;D The real Dick just keeps poking out. OK, that's much more Wednesday than it sounded in my head. But I'm gonna leave it, because it's true. And funny. ;D Oooh, I hadn't thought of that! ;D ;D ;D braaaaaiiiiiiinnnns!

I meant bad. And Lola, I like the "Heathers" reference very much! That makes a lot of sense--there is the herd mentality of ganging up on the outsider and romanticizing the dead (like they did with Cervando).
