I wish! I know the examples, but the names of episodes I had to search for.

Count me in the column as not wanting children or older women or slayers on Angel. I want the current team with its new addition a few old friends dropping in (like Giles, Dru, Harmony, Willow, with not Kennedy... some powerful new story lines lots of cool matrixy-moves and some really hot physically and mentally strong but emotionally warm(female) person who will love the pants off Spike - a LOT. (Electrogirl or Fred, I don't care as long as she means it.)

I have an amateur transcript from a Succubus Club interview with David Fury and Tim Minear that was posted at a different site by Erica 24 (whoeveer that is). It's very long, but has some interesting bits about Spike (Fury on Spike!!!). Very funny, too. If anyone is interested in seeing it, just e-mail me for a copy and I'll send it to you in a word document. It's 10 pages, so I really think it's too long to post. I don't know anything about the Succubus Club - maybe this is something you've all seen, or heard. Whatever. MKStatz@aol.comMary

Mary, I have emailed for the transcript. Thanks! The Succubus Club is an online radio program out of California, hosted by two women. It is all about Buffy. They discuss each week's episode, have guests (several of the writers) and phone ins.(I think). They have a website and the shows are archived for listening. I never listen online because they broadcast during Angel on Wednesdays, which is ironic. Here is the web address: www.thesuccubusclub.com/dyt/index.htmlPatti T.

Re our conversation in the previous part about Spike not calling anyone but Angel things like poofster...I'm watching 'Doomed' right now and he just called Xander a 'bloody poof'. I don't think that I ever caught that before. Oh MAN, I am looking forward to the 4th Season DVDs! More and more I think 4th season might be the funniest season ever.

Good catch, Patti. I hadn't remembered that. If you notice any more, sing out. I HAD thought the gay hate was exclusively reserved for Angel, but catch makes that not so. Nan

I dimly recall him calling Giles a poof once, too. Wish I could remember when/why.

I breezed over to smgfan.com and took a look at the ad she placed in the Hollywood Reporter thanking the cast and crew. She mentions no specific names other than Joss and Marti, but it's still a really thoughtful gesture on her part. I'm starting to become convinced that the majority of the rumors of tension are overblown. I don't doubt that tension existed between Sarah and everyone else because of how much harder she had to work. There can be no argument that as hard as all the actors worked, Sarah carried a heavier portion of the load. Joss makes mention of this season's conflict between the Scoobs being a reflection of the increased distance between Sarah and the rest of the ensemble. Ok, he didn't say specific names, but it's patently obvious. I think in time all parties will see how they could have handled things in a more mature way. It's an enormous credit to Marsters that he seems to have a close relationship with everyone. He's a little older than the others, and that probably gives him a better sense of perspective. I think the ad Sarah placed is a step in the right direction, at least as far as Nick and Alyson go. Some time apart will do them all a world of good, I think.

Nan, In Tabula Rasa. Spike tells Giles "Oh listen to Mary Poppins! Got his crust all stiff and upper with that nancy-boy accent. You Englishmen are always so -- (hearing himself) Bloody hell. (testing) Sodding blimy shagging knickers bullocks -- oh no. (horrified) I'm English." So, nancy-boy is an insult he bandies around too. But, I must say, I LOVE Giles' reply: "Welcome to the nancy tribe." Watergal

There will be insults a-plenty on Angel, this fall, you know it!

Finally all caught up with the board but way behind in responding to Emails now. And so depressed to think that I probably won't get online again before sometime Sun at the earliest and I'll impossibly behind again. Sigh. Okay, in no particular order: - I've been meaning to tell you guys this since Chicago and kept forgetting, but there were some people from the Bloody Awful Poet Society at the Chicago convention. I really wish I could have spoke to them but didn't know they were there until they got to ask a question at the Q & A (and they were way on the other side of the theatre so I couldn't catch up to them after). They didn't ask a question but they introduced themselves as being from TBAPS and spoke briefly about it's inception, mission and growth and then they presented him (figuratively, they couln't hand it to him accross the orchestra pit) a placque (don't know what it said) and they announced that they had named May 20th as Spike Redemption Day. (I haven't been to check out the site to see what they say about this.) Anyway, James had heard of them and said that Joss does go on the web and he said something about how he never takes other's ideas sometimes he will see something that will plant the seed of an idea with him and that he thinks that's what may have happened in the case of Spike's redemption. So, in this case, he told them, Joss heard them and listened. I know I butchered his words but that was the jist of it. Just thought it was an interesting tidbit to pass along. - David - In pt 33 you asked about whether Spike was buried after Dru sired him. I had wondered the same thing and posted the question during the discussion following LMPTM. Then I found an online interview or chat with one of the writers who specifically said that the writers thought that the reason Spike's mother had not known where he'd been is because they figured Drusilla had wheeled him away (wheel barrow or something) and had him privately buried. And that the reason they wrote the mother not knowing he'd been dead is so she could be surprised by walking in and finding him and Dru smooching on the settee(sp?). I posted this information back then along with the link to the transcript of the interview or chat but in quickly skimming my list of Buffy favorites I couldn't find it again. But regardless, according to the writers, mom didn't know William was dead because he'd just disappeared when Dru carted him away and yes, he was buried privately by Dru so it's true he did have to dig himself out of his own grave. - Nan - Oh Ma God! Congratulations! The Crypt and All About Spike- you've hit the big time. I am on the final chapter of Old Blood and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to seeing how it ends. Dawn and Spike's friendship has always been my second favorite relationship on the show (that they tossed it this season has been the source of one of my greatest disappointments) so your story is especially appealing to me. - Spring - Spike in Speedos? (Think way back to pt 33, #123) Are Speedos a kind of bathing suit, like what Xander wore in Go Fish? Because after all these years I can't imagine Spike starting to wear underwear. I mean, he's getting resurrected but he's still going to be Spike, right? - Diane - My heart soared at your idea of Spike rising like a Phoenix from the ashes. From your mouth to Joss' ears. - Someone - Don't remember who posted this idea so can't attribute, sorry. But pt 33/#208 suggested Spike might be resurrected at night and not realize he's no longer a vampire for a long while. I don't think this could work. If he does come back human he'd immediately feel the lack of his enhanced vampire senses and if still in any doubt the first swig of blood will immediatley clue him in to his changed circumstances. - Final word on Buffy's feelings about Spike- I agree with Spring about this half of the equation even if I still feel differently about her feelings for Angel. My conclusion that Buffy loved him but was not in love with him is based entirely on my conviction that Spike spoke what he recognized as the truth when he denied her declaration of love. I just don't believe he was being anything less than utterly truthful. Not happy about it, but that's the conclusion I've been forced to reach. As far as I'm concerned everything before Spike's pronouncement could have been interpreted according to one's own preferences but with his words "No you don't but thanks for saying it" all doubt and hope was cleared away, for me at least. That's all I got for now. Now, onto the Email backlog. Maybe *be seeing you* on Sunday. deborah
