I just saw that Shannon and someone else already mentioned this site. My bad.
P.S. How do you "edit" these things?

Somebody had better proofread that Buffy Thank You ad before it goes in the Hollywood Reporter. I'm pretty sure it's Alexis Denisof with one 'N' not two. And Clem is played by James C. Leary, not James C. Cleary.
Just sayin'. I expected that Nan would have been all over this. Maybe she was and I missed it.

How do you edit these things? If you're among the lucky few, you (sometimes) have an edit button that supposedly is invoked if you're using a recent version of MS Explorer rather than Netscape. Otherwise, you're very much out of luck like the rest of us.

Haven't seen it, don't care. You can't teach 'em, they won't learn.

Hi all.
For the last few days I've felt a bit like Spike peering in at the other vamps' Thanksgiving feast in Pangs (loved your analysis byw, Spring). But I've been trying to at least keep up with the posts (not that you lot have made it easy).
Rae- I'm glad your okay. Accidents are scary even when they're not serious. I was recently rear-ended by a hit and run driver (no license plate either) and I know that heart in your stomach knees shaking adrenaline rush that follows. Not fun. Nor are the associated chores of dealing with the insurance companies and repair shops and making time for same, etc... that are the aftermath of almost every collision. But I'm relieved to hear you are okay and no one else was hurt.
Diane, what can I possibly add about your beautiful Lan, as well as her little brother that hasn't already been said? Unsurprisingly (knowing this group) your news unleashed a beautiful outpouring of support as well some sound and thoughtful advice. As lame as it sounds, can I just say "Me too"? My thoughts are with you and your grandchildren.
Spring, I know you don't dwell on your son's illness here on the board but ever since you first mentioned it months ago I cannot think of you without always, always thinking of him too and what you are dealing with at home in real life while contributing so very much to our enlightenment and entertainment. You are a marvel, truly you are. And thank you for posting his pictures. He is quite the hottie. Now I have a face to go with my thoughts of him.
Patti, you so crack me up. I am thinking of your initial or if not initial at least one of your early responses to David re his comparison of Spike to Jasmine which sparked such an interesting discussion (which by the way, thank you Spring for speaking up as you did--I also loved Diane's comment on that topic). And I want to thank you (back to Patti now) for all the exausting work you put into writing up your report on the convention you attended so you could share the joy with all of us. You know I read every word with rapt attention. Then I read the report on Slayage. Between the two I've thought of a number of related and unrelated questions I'd like to ask him should I get the chance. I am eagerly looking forward to part two of your report and especially looking forward to hearing about your your personal conversations with James.
Miss Pamela, the countdown has begun. One week from tonight you'll be sipping cocktails and making chit-chat with the man himself. Unbelievable. I am very excited at the prospect of meeting you there. I expect we'll Email or talk on the phone in the coming week.
Gotta go. It's almost 8:30 and of course, here I am still at the office. Too little at home time lately for my home-body tendencies.
Goodnight all. If I don't talk to you again, have a good weekend.
Oh, almost forgot- Welcome to all the new posters who have recently joined us. Forgive me, I'm tired and the only name that's sticking in my head right now is Rubberband (don't know why that is) so I won't try and name names because I know I'd blow it. So, a big, generic welcome. You know who you are. Uh, I'm deborah by the way. Pleased to make your acquaintance.

Here's the Email I sent them and the reply I received this week: All About Spike - Spike Redemptionist Fanfiction www.allaboutspike.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "deborah cohen" To: Sent: Monday, April 28, 2003 3:08 PM Subject: Email from AllAboutSpike.com > Below is the result of your feedback form. It was submitted by > deborah cohen (dcohen2@luc.edu) on Monday, April 28, 2003 at 15:08:54 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- - > > comments: In my *Favorites* on my computer I have saved more than two dozen sites featuring BtVS fanfiction but yours is where I spend most of my time when I have the time. So far yours has the most user friendly organization and consistently the best stories (at least as far as I know. I never have time to visit the other sites). It will be a while before I can make my way through all of them and great new ones are posted every day. > > Which brings me to the point of this Email. Besides showering you with all kinds of praise I am hoping you will calm my fears concerning your continued presence after the end of the series. I know I am not alone in my heartfelt conviction that after May 20th quality Buffy fanfiction will be needed more than ever! Please stay. The show is going away but interest in and love for the characters and world of the Buffyverse will remain, believe me. > > If at some point you decide you can no longer survive as a free service I would hope you would continue on a subscriber basis, which I'd readily join and support. > > Yours very sincerely, > > deborah cohen > > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Deborah, Thanks so much for your email. I'm very glad that you enjoy the site. I'm planning to keep the site up-and-running for as long as I can manage. Of course, I don't know what will happen in the future, but for the time being I have no intention of closing it. Also, I hope that, should I lose interest in updating the site, I will find a way to leave all the old stories up so that people can still read them. Thanks again, Laura So I guess the upshot is that they'll probably be around for the foreseeable future at least as the receptacle for the significant volume of stories they've already collected but not necessarily posting new ones. What will become of all the WIPs then? I hope most of the authors writing ongoing stories will have alternate sites to post their updates and let their readers know where to find them, should it come to that. Night all. debo'

deborah - I was wondering where you've been keeping yourself.
Are you getting excited about your upcoming brush with greatness?? I don't know if you plan to take pics, but please follow Patti's lead on getting a shot of THE PANTS.
Re your words to me about my son: "You are a marvel, truly you are. And thank you for posting his pictures. He is quite the hottie. Now I have a face to go with my thoughts of him."
Thanks so much. Yes, my baby does get attention from girls - though he is the sort who doesn't really believe it for a minute when people tell him he's good lookin'. He has an aunt that is always exclaiming over him, and I've had girls ask me about him - but when he hears this stuff, he dismisses it as the silliest thing and doesn't really believe it. He is very serious when it comes to girls - he's not a player at all. He gets himself all crazy about a certain girl and then gets his heart broken. He's a very intense fellow. Thanks for keeping him in your thoughts.

I met Laura of the AllAboutSpike site at the Common Rotation concert last month. Nice girl. Will see her again at Moonlight Rising and will express how much folks here enjoy her site!

Lee you wrote-
"I think the one constant love out there is the love a parent has for a child. I mean, this person came from you - it is literally a part of you. How absolutely amazing that feeling must be, to know that you helped create such a wondrous person! I can't even imagine the level of joy that brings and, hopefully, one day I will get to experience that joy. People always comment how their life changed once they had children - like a new world had opened for them. That says a lot to me, really shows the mindset of a parent - you realize you are a part of something much greater than you as an individual."
As someone who is passionately in love with her husband - i can only say with heartfelt agreement that I am in complete accord with all that you wrote about the nature of parental vs conjugal love.
Elective affinities vs intense bilogical/custodial ones.

Hey Rob, (Sorry if this is a repeat for anyone, I posted on Part 22 and then realized we had moved.) Sorry for the delay, some friends kidnapped me today. I'd be happy to email you but I don't actually have the new URL to the Super Secret S'cubie email page. I had it until Vlad had to change it. I don't think he had my email at the time so I never got the update. However, my email is rae@raelee.com (it's also listed in my ScoopMe profile). Feel free to email . -Rae Hanson

OK, guys, what's going on?
Last weekend, y'all had a freakin' posting riot (which still has me laughing when I think about some of the posts y'all wrote) and now - bupkis. I finally have internet access at home so I can join the fun that is the S3 board late at night and now I'm wondering where everyone is.
Granted, it's 10:25pm where I am (good ol' Alabama) so maybe the fun doesn't start until later. I was supposed to go out tonight but little things such as tornado warnings and watches kinda nipped those plans in the bud. Ahh, the joys of Alabama in the springtime!
Whoo-hoo, cheesy Lifetime movies are on! Make fun of me all you want but in college and law school, my friends and I loved Lifetime movies - the cheesier, the better. You thought your life was bad? Guarantee you'll feel better after watching a Lifetime movies - they're a great life affirmer. "Hey, my life doesn't suck THAT bad. After all, I wasn't impregnated by my fertility doctor, followed by discovering that my husband wasn't a serial rapist, thus giving me amnesia AND multiple personalities. My life is great compared to that train wreck!"
Dude, have you seen those new "Uh-oh Oreos"? The chocolate is on the INSIDE, not the OUTSIDE. Basically, it's two vanilla cookies with chocolate cream in the middle. And what is up with all these new Oreo varieties - cream and mint, peanut butter and chocolate, coffee and cream....WHAT IS GOING ON? You just don't mess with Oreos - much like you don't mess with Coke. Anyone remember New Coke and what a disaster that was? I rest my case.
Alright, going to finish a movie I had started earlier tonight - "Birthday Girl" with Nicole Kidman. Anyone seen it? Well, right now I'm not all that impressed - maybe it's because I've had a couple of drinks and my mind is wandering all over place. Much like this post.
Going before I really embarrass myself. Well, hell, That's already happened.
I'll check in later.
-L

Re: the spelling, you're dead on, Athene. Denisof does have only one "N" (that much I'm sure since he's the lousy so-and-so that's engaged to my dream girl), and there is no "C" at the beginning of Leary.

The wonderful thing about Tiggers
Is Tiggers are wonderful things
Their tops are made out of rubber
Their bottoms are made out of springs
They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun
But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers
Is I'm the only one
I'm the only one.
Hooo-hooo-hooo-hoo
Just felt a strong urge to sing the Tigger song after seeing the adorable picture of Tigger posted by Michelle. Reminds me of my 12-year-old daughter, who is a Tigger fan as well (her mother got to her before I could introduce her to my favorite character in the 100-Acre Wood, Eeyore).
