Lisa Drexel did a Buffy/Highlander crossover a few years ago. It's still unfinished, and Lisa's muse has been stagnant for quite awhile, though she is still around, and still reading fanfic.
I'm guessing other cross overs between the two shows have been done, but I've never sought them out. (I've never seen Highlander, and I always had kind of a grudge against one of the actors on the show, because he replaced my favorite character on War of the Worlds -Ironhorse).

That's the one - Adrian Paul. The actor they hired to replace Ironhorse on WotW...who was extremely popular. Mmmm.

Laura will still be posting new chapters to WIPs at AAS. She's still actively seeking out new Spike writers, and her interest seems very high at this point. I can't see that changing for some time to come. And boy, do I hope I'm right about that...
How about those last couple chapters of Necessary Evils? WOW! Only the epilogue to go. I think I'll miss that story almost as much as the show!

This ran a few weeks back - the day after the Academy Awards, I think, and was a full page ad. It just now occurred to me that some of you may not have seen it, and may enjoy it. I thought it was beautifully done, and I hope, provided some good exposure for JM. Mary I've been told the posting board that pops up in front of this picture every time I open it is rife with spoilers. I don't know how true that is, but - fair warning. www.buffy.nu/article.php3?id_article=567

That better be one HECK of an epilogue. She's got almost as many loose ends to tie up as Joss.
And speaking of fanfic....shouldn't you be typing your little fingers off instead of posting to us?
Just kidding. I LOVE Journeys. Gush, gush. I guess you deserve a break--grump, grump.
Hey, do you know the writer's at tabularasa? They haven't updated their site since March 26 (before LMPTM). I miss the reviews!

I've never really seen Spike as a vagabond. I've always read him as someone who longs very much to 'belong'. To or with one or a handful of people. Not that a relationship can't exist on the road, but if he had a true vagabond spirit, he'd have left Sunnydale long ago, or never would have returned.
I completely agree with those who noted JM's ability to have chemistry with a variety of people, or even things... crypt doors, for instance, or thin air...

is writing. Yay! *Doin' the S'cubie dance.*
Hey Nan, put off the editing of my little fic, I want to see yours. Get back to writing! Besides, I won't be able to figure out my Chapter 3 unitl the end of the series *sob!* I need to know how they are going to end it first.
Nan, are you still reading this? Cut it out and get back to writing!
WG
P.S.: Speaking of Highlander, I went to see X-Men 2 last night, and was distracted by the presence of Methos in fatigues and noticeably lacking in the accent department.

I'm gonna go write right now!!
I don't know the people at Tabula Rasa. For a long, long time the only story they had up was Raising in the Sun, and they were one of the bookmarked sites I lost when my computer when kablooey a few months back. I was going to suggest you try their Yahoo Group (it's spoiler friendly, so I avoid it), but I popped over there to get you the address, and see they're not accepting new members. So, bottom line, I can't answer that question! *g*
Off to write now...

Thanks guys and gals for the update on the prophesy. I knew it didn't specifically mention Angel! That sure leaves lots of opportunities doesn't it?
As far as Nan writing, I don't know if any of you have ever read any of Nan's stuff, but if not, you are no doubt in for a treat. And I am SO excited for her, because I know how frustrated she's been because nothing's been "talking" to her (I feel the same, unfortunately).
Oh, Goodie!

Oh, Patti, thank you! I didn't see that before. To tell the truth, when I first looked at the page I still didn't see the link, but READING eventually led me to it.
What a great report! Funny, entertaining... Do you regret not selling your home to get those seats at JM's table?
I keep thinking that now that the show is finishing it's run, I'd love to go to a convention and meet a lot of the people I've met online.
I've always been of two minds about meeting an actor who portrays a character I like. I think I like to keep them separate in my mind. (This is especially true of Leonard Nimoy, who, to me, always looked WRONG without his ears!, and JM, who might SOUND wrong without his British accent! *g*) But everyone I've chatted with who has met JM had absolutely NOTHING but the highest praise for how great he was with his fans, even after hours of autograph signing, which speaks very highly of him. One online Buffy got to sit in on an interview with him, and had some time to tak to him privately, and mentioned many times how nice he was, how easy to talk to, and how funny.
I love that he knew the name of episodes. I still remember how William Shatner (Mary dates herself again) had no idea - and in Star Trek, they actually ran the names of the eps on screen - something Buffy has only done for two eps that I can think of off the top of my head.
Thanks for the report, Patti, and for telling me where to find it.

Old Blood - is this a 'fanged four' story?
I can't wait to read it.

As some of you may have noticed (i.e. Sue) I have not been around for nearly a week. The reason for this is because I have had the Klaz virus and I think I infected everyone else. I am so sorry to the people that were attacked. I hope it did not cause you too much inconvenience. I had the virus earlier and I stupidly thought that I had fixed the problem without fully realising the implications of my anti-virus software having the virus too. Luckily, David (the champion) told me that it was still causing grief and so I was able to try again to remove the virus using different soft-ware. I think it has worked.
I have not Rob and other S'Cubies' gift for writing with apparant sincerity, but I have been feeling extremely distressed by the damage that I may have been unknowingly causing. I could forgive myself sooner if I hadn't been so stupid: there were signs that my original anti-virus software had not worked, but I did not understand them. Once again sorry for any inconvenience. Please let me stay a S'cubie.
Kerrie Davis
David, please note that I have never tried to e-mail you. This makes me think that I infected you on the S'Cubie message board. . .please tell me that I am wrong.
