I agree. Adama and Apollo are seeming to get more and more comfortable having gotten over the divisiveness of Zach's death. They may hug again as time goes on I wanted to give Starbuck a hug ;D that's cause you're a giver!

very nice - quite true. It was interesting to see the horror on his face when he thought he was going to be responsible for destroying them all. He's a traitor, a coward, but he's been 'conflicted' - now I think he's going to find it easier, now that he believes he is 'picked' as god's right hand... and I think Six gave him that location without him knowing - all part of the Cylon's diabolical scheme...*cue the organ music* Yep, I can hear the pipes warming up too..

Lots o' good stuff here! 3,000 year old prophesies. Starbuck struggling with the change over to a leadership role. Apollo getting not only his father's and Starbuck's respect, but, more importantly, his own. Great action and flight scenes. Wow! Caprica!Boomer - sick? Pregnant? (Is that even possible?) Batteries running down? Cut off from her power supply by ticked-off Cylon superiors? President having daytime visions now. Interesting interpretations on the serpents. Hallucinations and viper fighters. Hmmmmmmm. Lola Great episode! Caprica Boomer is obviously pregnant! Also.. something that struck me.. baby...barn/manger... all this talk of God... and the Cylons have "one" god over everyone while the humans have a pantheon. Baltar's crusifiction pose there at the end... are we supposed to be gathering something here? Also, aren't we sorta believing Cap Boomer is on Helo's side now? That she want's to get away? They are so obviously studying humans... first love, and now maybe it appears they were going to test humans bonding over family? Maybe Boomer knew this ...maybe it's the old scenario... she's gonna be a mommy and will do anything to fight for her baby? I am suspecting the Cylons goofed in making the Boomers.. both the Cap one and hte Galactica one... I am thinking they are going to wind up being on our side. Vlad

oh, I think he's just made the final step into the twilight zone of madness... pretty sure that's when you decide God speaks through you for mankind...unless..you know, um...he does. just saying ...pretty sure in this case, not so much.... LOL!! Exactly. Pesky prophecies. You can twist them to mean pretty much whatever you want. Like serpent = actual snakes in a hallucination, or serpent = viper. Loved the Adama/Apollo/Starbuck interaction a lot! And the parallel being made between a father giving his son absolute confidence and the son being made stronger because of it and the Father giving a son power (thru whatever the heck #6 is supposed to represent) by the 'working thru him' scenario. Or - that's what it seemed like to me anyway. ;D Using your intuition - to 'not overthink' as in Apollo's case, and to 'think outside of the box' as in Starbuck's case seemed to also be a theme. Light and dark - or Yin and Yang - so important to be in balance to succeed. I haven't read ahead - did anyone else besides me think - oh, oh C!Boomer has morning sickness?

I mean - how many times can they get that lucky? Finding the water when they needed it, too. Makes me wonder now about the Cylon spacecraft that Starbuck managed to commandeer? Oh - now you got me all suspicious-minded. It really makes me wonder what the Cylon's ultimate Plan is and if they know where Earth is.

Could be a glich in their programming. Kind of like Spike's chip, in a way.

(Havoc's review is next on my list.) About the President's 'visions'. I wonder if it's a Cylon thing, too. (See - Patti really has me suspicious!) Or something else. She's assuming her visions/dreams are coming from the chamalla. Maybe because she does have cancer is why she survived to be next in line as President. And now the Cylons can use her "wasting disease" to their advantage somehow. I really need to quit overthinking this stuff.

With regard to Baltar, it's unmistakable. He's being builtup as an anti-Christ type.. anti meaning strictly "in place of". Baltar's entire purpose here is to work against the colonials and to lead them astray ultimately. When Christ used the term 'viper" historically, it was in denunciation of a rabbinical order and priesthood that had lost its way. The colonials in a sense have lost their way. So, I tend to agree with your conclusion. How much it holds up as time goes on will be interesting. As for the Boomer model, I think what you're looking for is Judas. There are twelve Models. God (Christ) had 12 apostles - originally, one of which betrayed him. A 13th was called to replace him and later a 14th was called in Paul - who ended up being arguably the greatest of them - having authored half the NT among many other accomplishments. He was the most bold, etc. So, if the allusion holds true, we may be in for some real interesting times.

Um, "Anti" means "opposite" in most languages it's been handed down to: I don't think I've ever heard of "anti" being used for "subsitute" .. And I'd question your including Paul as a disciple, as he came about many years after Yeshua bar Yusef was crucified.. I am thinking of "disciple" meaning "direct student" here. And I'm also bisecting leptigorgians..

BSG is going to lose me. I mean, enough is enough already. When I want a catechism, I'll go to Sunday school.
A well-written, character-driven space drama is good enough for me.

I'm not all that bothered with it to the extent that it fits in as standard cultural fodder for the story. Some of it gives clues as to what one can expect to happen if the allusions hold true. In absence of those things, I think it would take them much longer to establish some of their clues. Allusion allows one to write a book in a sentence. So, to that extent it's quite useful to the story. I think Locke or Book would say that if you're catechised, it just gives you a further insight that others might lack. It would be lost on people who don't know something about it. It makes you relevant to the discussion as much as anyone else. And I don't mind inclusion

BSG is going to lose me. I mean, enough is enough already. When I want a catechism, I'll go to Sunday school. A well-written, character-driven space drama is good enough for me. I tend to find discussion of different religious thoughts interesting, (provided no one is trying to make me think one way or another and that they don't get mean about it). So I'm finding the stuff BSG doing intriguing (at least so far). It's a neat twist to have the "good guys" be the ones believing in many gods and the "bad guys" be the one god folks. ('Course, I'm not a "one god" gal myself, so naturallly I find that fascinating. ;D ) I know that there was an element of this in the old series, but not as such a prominent theme. But I do remember a Cylon religious head guy, had a cool hat and stuff. I'll have to see how far they take their analogies and how much they push stuff. So far, I'm still finding the show amazingly cool - and such great acting! Lola
