Oh, crap.
Baltar says "I am an instrument of God"
He has stepped over that line from "poltroonish buffoon and cowardly weakling" into "Bad guy" and "Whack-a-loon with a side order of loon"

Not a good thing. Of course, do we know that he really thinks this, or is he trying to fool Six?

Lots o' good stuff here!
3,000 year old prophesies.
Starbuck struggling with the change over to a leadership role.
Apollo getting not only his father's and Starbuck's respect, but, more importantly, his own.
Great action and flight scenes. Wow!
Caprica!Boomer - sick? Pregnant? (Is that even possible?) Batteries running down? Cut off from her power supply by ticked-off Cylon superiors?
President having daytime visions now. Interesting interpretations on the serpents. Hallucinations and viper fighters. Hmmmmmmm.
Lola
Great episode!

Another really neat episode - so far this series just hasn't ever disappointed me - it's a thing of beauty.

Baltar in the original was pretty much a megalomaniac too. And considering the role, it is fitting. The progression so far has moved him in a direction that builds his strategic position in the fleet and his confidence in both himself and Six. He is a traitor. And we're seeing the building up of a potentially nasty bad guy. He's been whimsical up to now. But that's like real life. Nobody just wakes up and decides to be Hitler. It takes a lot of little decisions that mount up into a major position... Little things, despite popular opinion, are big things because they lead to big things.. good and bad. Good character development.

I think you may be right. I have this odd hope that Baltar somehow manages to get out of the honey trap that the Cylons have him in. But really? I think he's just gone completely round the bend. Which is right where Six and the others want him. All of which is giving me this crazy idea that it was the Cylon's themselves who planted the knowledge about how to blow up the station in his head, rather than God. I mean, they somehow have him seeing and feeling and, for cryin' out loud, having sex with a hallucination. So I don't think dropping a little bit of intel while they play around in his head would be outside their capabilities. If so, however, then the Cylons (or at least one branch of them) are playing a very deep game. Lola

I mean, there's Apollo all insecure and wanting just one word and there's Adama with all that responsibility and also with such a fierce love for his son and . . . they stand there, all apart and stoic and making quips. Which is very in character and right, but still frustrating.

I feel the same way about Jack and Sydney on Alias - just.....HUG damn it!! I agree. Adama and Apollo are seeming to get more and more comfortable having gotten over the divisiveness of Zach's death. They may hug again as time goes on I wanted to give Starbuck a hug ;D

Good character development. very nice - quite true. It was interesting to see the horror on his face when he thought he was going to be responsible for destroying them all. He's a traitor, a coward, but he's been 'conflicted' - now I think he's going to find it easier, now that he believes he is 'picked' as god's right hand... and I think Six gave him that location without him knowing - all part of the Cylon's diabolical scheme...*cue the organ music*
