Holding Ellens things. Flashbacks.
Tigh and Novak. Adama and Adama.
Valkrie. Galactica as graceful retirement.
Ass-covering as Adama's full time job.
Tigh lets it slip.
ADAMA SHOT HIM DOWN!?!
Chose the mission over his friend. Explains A LOT about Adama's actions since.
And they suspected that the Cylons were preparing to attack. Man, that's topical.
So their mission precipitated the Cylon attack? WOW.
Sometimes surviving can be it's own death sentence.
We were the war mongers they figured us to be.
And he's crying! Wow.
You were one mission. One man. It only takes one.

Tigh - "Sometimes surviving can be its own death sentence."
Whoa. You could apply that in so many ways.

Tigh's finally sporting an eyepatch. Maybe to indicate he's ready to stop letting his wounds define him, and instead let them start to heal.

Previouslies going all the way back to the mini-series!!! Tigh!!! Dixon!!! With Dreadlocks!!! Portrait of Baltar. In the bathroom over the toilet. Still too good for him. Trip down nostalgia lane. Um, stolen Cylon raider anyone? Like what Starbuck did? Anyone? Bueller? Krypter. Bulldog. Gaeta curls. Hee. Starbuck's so confused. The look on her face was priceless. It looked like the Cylon gave birth ... to a Bulldog? Messy. Heee! It did, didn't it?

Okay Tigh, that's just... well, that's kinda screwed up. Tigh is acheiving fucked-upness on a positively epic scale. He's like . . . . Lear on the moor.

Interesting film quality. I almost didn't realize it was the show and not another commercial. A black ops mission? Conspiracy theorists. Hee. dig on the fans. But is that really conclusive? Locked in a cell for 3 years. Three years since the attacks? Is that right? So he escaped from the ship with the beacon? That's what I thought at first. So, I guess it was . . . the Cylons made him think they were all dying of the virus and let him go when they were in the area of Galactica? Just so he'd pound on Adama? Seems. . . over complicated. They're back to mind games now? And a very very very intriguing dream visiony thing. #yeahbaby# #metoo# Excellent matching scenes, with Adama disillusioning Apollo and Tigh disillusioning Bulldog. The whole complex tangle was very interesting. Layer on layer. The Admiralty sending them into Cylon space and whether or not they were trying to provoke a war, and Adama blaming himself solely, and shooting down Bulldog, and Bulldog knowing he was on a black ops mission and that they were "over the line" but still ejecting anyway, and Roslin's line about all the good and bad things they did for 40 years that led up to the war. Who provoked who and how much and so on. Adds a whole bunch more shades of grey . . .

The scene between Adama and Apollo was . . . .wow. Just so emotional!!

Her tone of voice as she talked to Adama at the end? Stunning! "It's not for you. It's for them." "Be a hero. That'll be your penance, even if it kills you."

such a good episode.
i especially liked the mirroring of the END OF THE LINE in the dream and vision sequences followed by bulldog taking adama through the same door on galactica.
also roslin calling adama on his own narcissim, starbuck picking tigh to tell her suspicions about the escape, the choice of valkyrie for the prior ship.

OK. Back after brief pause to talk to the parentals. Dreams, not nightmares. Interesting. Ooh, what is she up to? OMG!!! There is something beautiful and miraculous between life and death. She's become that which she warned Caprica about back in Downloaded. Total Ender's Game moment here. He's a plant. Is he gonna blow up? Starbuck and Tigh working together. Back to normal? At least for the time being. No, he's going after Adama. But he's already almost died, so I don't think that's gonna happen again. FREAKY!!! Intercut. I beat them at their own game. No, you played right into their hands. Tigh pulls himself together. Yay! And then he turns again. Putting a gun in Adama's hands? So how do you put that bottle away, Saul? I don't know.

So, what do you all think of the scene on the Cylon ship? With Lucy L telling the toaster to shoot her so she could experience the "beautiful/miraculous" thing between life and death?
