With the Galactica outgunned by four Cylon base ships, and the Colonial forces on the ground being flanked by a platoon of Cylon Centurions, how far will Admiral Adama go to keep the Cylons from capturing the artifact that shows the way to Earth? And will Apollo put the mission at risk to save the downed Starbuck — or let the woman he loves die?

I can't help it. Does every show have to revolve around a "chosen one"?

Nukes ahoy! "We agree." Hmmmm. Do you? Do you all**is momentarily distracted by sweaty oh-so-manly Anders and Apollo** Ahem. Deanna is bucking the tide there. I don't think that's gonna be popular. Lee orders Dualla to try to save Starbuck. Ouch. That's gotta hurt. They won't fire over just one ship. It works, but she wasn't really sure. I saw her doubt. And it definitely isn't popular with the others. "It's not about the eye of Jupiter. It's about her." Oh, yeah. Things are brewing now. HOly crap!! Sharon and Helo. Damn. That was heartbreaking. Begging him, him soooo badly not wanting to. And then - bang. Shoots her so she can upload over on the other ship?

I can't help it. Does every show have to revolve around a "chosen one"? It sure seems that way. Wow - Caprica snapped Boomer's neck. Is that the first Cylon/Cylon murder? Who do you think is going to die, be a Cylon and what was the other thing that was supposed to happen? Poor Kara's hands. How ironic is it that Dee was the one who had to rescue her? I think Dee is going to be the one to die.

What the hell just happened there? Did I see what I thought I saw? Oh, wait. So, do you think that Sharon was the one who was going to die? Huh. Yeah, that was a shocker. Poor Helo.

Nice intense scene between Helo and Roslin and Adama. "That's why you gave her the uniform." Roslin talking about a leap of faith and "if it only affected your family". Damn. He do not want to hear that from you, of all people! "I certainly played my part in bringing us to this point." Huh. Nicely conceded. And now they're all "in Sharon's hands". Sharon tells the bald truth. "They wouldn't let me see my daughter. So my husband shot me. It was the only way." So now we get to wonder how much of the next bit is true. About her daughter being safer there and her as well. My guess? Helo is totally right to trust her. Now, whether that means Adama and Roslin can expect she will always do just as they want? That's debatable. Planet planning! Crappity crap - now Dee's on her own! Nice how they are juxtaposing the three main human groups (Dee going after Starbuck, the folks fighting the Cylongs - Lee and Anders and so on, and Chief and his bunch at the temple) with the two Cylon groups (the "clankers" and the pairing of Deanna and Gaius). Interesting that the Deanna on the planet seems as uncertain as the one on the ship. Scared to find out if she is right, scared tha she might be wrong, scared to actually be right. I wanna shout at her - when Baltar is the one who is leading things? You're in trouble!!! ;D Plus, he's got his inner cylon pumping him up with all that "no you're the chosen one" stuff.

So, D'anna went bye-bye. I wonder who she asked forgiveness of. She became a liability when she split from the group. She had developed a human consciousness, a self-awareness - whether or not it was the truth that she was the chosen was, just the fact that she had it made her more human than Cylon. Much like Sharon/Athena.

Nice CGI with the Cylons and the fight scene. Dee delivered that line with just the right amount of bitterness. "My husband ordered me to risk my life for yours. I'm going to bring Starbuck back to Apollo." Then we have the other bitter scene. Sharon with the baby - it calming down for her like it wouldn't for Boomer. And Boomer sooooo not happy about it. Oh. Now I see what Onjel meant. Caprica kills Boomer when she threatens the baby - "snap it's little neck". And then helps Sharon escape with the baby. "The first of a new generation will die. God will never forgive you." Huh. So basically, Sharon succeeds by simply . . . telling the truth and saying what needs to happen to save the baby's life. I really like that. And now all the action stuff. More bang bang shoot 'em up. And Chief's folks running. And Dee fixing the glider and patching up Kara. Am I the only one who laughed out loud when Dee smacked Starbuck when she was doing the drugged out babbling of "I hate Sam. I love Sam. I love Lee"? ;D The skin jobs get to the temple, so it doesn't go boom. But Chief sees that it's the nova that is the "eye". Huh. That whole bit in the temple was really rather fascinating and excitingly shot. D'anna with the destiny thing and what's his name going to shoot her but Gaius shoots him instead and then she has the mystical seeing of the 5 others, but we don't and then she croaks and Gaius is all "was I there" and then Chief comes back and clocks him. Plus, we get the nicely cryptic comments by D'anna on seeing the final cylon "You! Forgive me - I had no idea."

Slam bam action. The cylons jump out. Then all the humans make it back and they jump out. So, we're left with Baltar in the brig and Caprica heading there herself, no doubt. Kara in a clinch with Anders and Dee in a clinch (although she did not look happy at first) with Lee. And Lee and Kara mooning at each other over their respective spouses' shoulders. People! Just have a hot sweaty foursome and get it over, already! Huh. Well. That was a rather intriguing final bit. The nova happened before and is probably a signpost to Earth that apparently Starbuck was channeling through drawing since she was little and Leoben knew . . . something about this "destiny" thing. And the D'anna model is "flawed" and is going to be "boxed" indefinitely because she's just too much trouble.

We had a lot of Cylon on Cylon crime in this ep, didn't we? I have this hope that Dee will be OK. I'm getting very fond of her - I really liked how she handled things in this ep.
