After an accident nearly kills President Roslin, Chief Tyrol defies Admiral Adama to demand safer working conditions throughout the fleet - and inadevertantly makes himself the rallying point for a strike.

Flashbacks to Galen as a union leader...
Pilots! No, it was just a tease. We're back in the hanger bay.
Tyllium fueling?
focusing on the processes more than the people.. huh. Something gonna go blooey?
Oh god, being a laundry gal is a mission-critical position? Oh, she's the head avionics tech. Yeah THAT is mission-critical.
Laundry delivery a side duty assigned in rotation?
Huh, the raptors launch out the landing bay? I dont remember ever seeing that before.
Crap, the out-of-control raptor is heaing right for C-1.....
Yeek!
No manual fuel-cutoffs?
And the survivor count? 41,400.....
yay, more brig time for Galen..

'Nother good "slice of ordinary fleet life" opener.
She's denied flight training because she's mission critical. Hmmm. Must be very critical, 'cuz I thought they were totally hurting for pilots. And yeah, why is she delivering laundry? Did he say "avionics specialist"?
Chief as the peacemaker (as he's been before, on ship).
Woah! Out of control rapter gonna crash into the President's ship?

Something gonna go blooey? Something must have gone wrong with the process they showed us. That's gotta be what it is, but it does seem kinda. . .

CRAP that was a bad brouhaha. "Welcome in one of my beds" hee! Tyllium refinery... Xeno Fenner wants to be treated like a human? Huh. How odd. Intimate whispering.. "Have I ever doubted it?" Well, when you thought you'd made it up.. So this is Fenner... If the jackass is actually sabotaging the fuel supply, he's committing sedition.. "The book" Baltar has written a Mein Kampf? And people are READING it? Fenner's lucky he hasn't seen the inside of an airlock.. Seelix is the avionics officer. Dammit. Why don't I recognize people? Oh cripes, Cally? You are reading crap by the guy that signed your death warrant? "rich colonies" and "poor colonies" Dualla... Oh, god, they're making me hate Cally. Crapmonkies. Galen is a good man. And Cally is gonna get him in trouble...and she's got a big ol' "victim" chip on her shoulder.. So who IS his lawyer? Roslin visiting Gaius! So he did write it. NICE attempt at a fake-out, Roslin.. unless the lawyer was smuggling out dual sets... indignity of a strip search in front of the President. Sixy! "keep your dignity" "Blurb for the back cover" heh So why is she telling him this? And the tyllium refinery ship.... More old Union men.. Oh crap, they're gonna expect him to be a Union Man, not the boss. Is that the REFINED stuff, or the raw tyllium? must be the refined. Buncha surly faces in the refinery.. Ah. Maintainence downtime. PLUS non-destructive sabotage.. seal-theft. Blackmail. Crap. That puts Galen in a bad place. And they are cutting off their nose to spite their faces... "most have not had a day off since the original attack on the colonies" Jesus... Roslin, jesus.. let them rotate in more workers, or something. WRONG decision, Roslin. These are desperate tired, weary men and women.

Ok - they're really portraying Roslin as a Nazi-type leader. Her guards behind her, book burning....
Tyrol and Callie's baby is a cute little tyke.
Not much fuel left. I guess that's what that pile of sand was.
Ha - Adama saying 'Don't be absurd.' to Tyrol's comment about the workers not having a day off for a long time - with a drink in his hand didn't set right with Tyrol. Great scene!

"Welcome to one of my beds." Love flirty Adama and Roslin. "Get the gas flowing and then we'll talk." Roslin and Adama are focusing on the danger and state of war (legitimately so) and the workers are focusing on being worked to death (legitimately so). Interesting dilemna. Baltar is writing a book. "My Triumphs, My Mistakes". Pardon me while I laugh myself sick for a bit. More talk about the rich colonies and poor colonies - old issues and feuds from before the original attack. Chief talking about how the union is "gone now". Hmmm. Wasn't Dualla an officer before she married Lee? Or was she . . . I don't remember. Roslin always calls Baltar by his title, but she also isn't gonna be too squeamish about how she gets info from him. They're sabatoging the equipment, but then again, they're using the time to clean and make repairs it looks like. Again with both sides having a point. Everyone is working hard to survive, not just them, but that does basically sound like slave labor. And Roslin and Adam would be more convincing if they weren't dining in relative splendor while making their points.

Cabbot looks like he needs to be in the medical bay, not in the brig.
Yeah, pressuring someone in a cell is the most human thing to do. Which means it's nothing like humane.
Got the seals, but Galen's lost his credibility working for the Man.
Grease Monkey is gonna activate an explosion? No, looks okay for now.
So the boss is a little pissed off about the fact that her office got blowed up by a tyllium explosion.
Roslin defending the 'prentice system. Galen pointing out the fact that hereditary job castes could develop.
Fair enough to hold a lottery to run people in shifts into the refinery. If ANYTHING is mission-critical, the fuel ship is.
Well, you aren't being drafted to be shipped off to farm.
Poor Galen.. having to deal with conscription. Being the conscriptor.
Galen talking with Gaius...and pointing out the sillyness of Baltar's "position"
"Shoveling manure"
Accent switch...
So Aerelonians sound like a cross between Canadians and Yorkshiremen? Tigh's an Aerlonian farmboy?
I still think Baltar is b.s.ing everyone.
"They're all dead now" which means they can't contradict you.
And dissent-fomentors want their enemies to fight each other.
Oh, horsecrap, Baltar. you WERE the aristocracy.

CRAP that was a bad brouhaha. "Welcome in one of my beds" hee! Tyllium refinery... Xeno Fenner wants to be treated like a human? Huh. How odd. Intimate whispering.. Rather sex-ay, wasn't it? That is just so freaking bizarre, isn't it? He's catching a ride on growing public opinion, even though it has nothing to do with him. This is amazing to me. And yet, I know that this kind of thing does happen in RL, which is the saddest commentary of all. I'm convinced this all comes from poor communication. Regular discussion of what exactly is going on and why among the ships would help immensely. Otherwise, everyone makes not good assumptions about what everyone else is doing. **nods** A "show of strength" is not gonna actually help anyone here. And it's probably gonna ignite a fire.

I think Dualla was an officer - on the bridge, before she married Lee.
Also - do you suppose Baltar's words to Tyrol - "Do you think anyone without the last name of Adama will every run things?" was prophetic?
I think a Helo/Sharon run fleet would be awesome.
