Wow. Talk about being spoiled for next week. . .. The entire Sci Fi promotional department needs to die. Or be fired. Whichever—I'm not that choosy.

Not a scratch on her fighter and not a cylon in the gun camera footage. Of course the other pilots are gonna start to say the raider never existed. Heh. The doc says in peacetime, he'd ground them all. Yeah, I imagine he would. Adama leaves it up to Apollo to decide if she should be grounded and Apollo thinks Starbuck's image of herself as pilot is all that is keeping her together. Well, if you can call that "together". She wants her photo to go up next to Kat's. Her and Lee do the mutal pledge of posting photos on the memory wall. Assuming they will die in the fight, and they are likely right. She's crazy, he's a bastard, but he trusts her eyes even over the evidence. Ah, Lee. Attempting to banter with Adama and Roslin. Hmmmm. How significant is it that she passes her figure of Aurora to him? A fair wind, a fresh start.
And now she's hallucinating her childhood self into the cockpit. She's in serious trouble. It looks like she'll get that fresh start - as a Cylon? She's like Aurora who renews herself every morning at dawn and flies across the sky. (From Wiki) I'm assuming she finally learned the lesson her mother was trying to teach her. Danged if I know exactly what it was, tho. I suppose - not to be afraid of death?

I should know better, and turn the damn television to mute during all commercials, so I don't accidentally watch something important coming up.

"Everyone gets rattled, even the best." She doesn't trust herself. Lees trusts her, will fly her wing. Um. Are you so sure you should be trying to convince her to go out? Of course she brings up Dee. He says they're doing better than good. "We're back where we started." Sort of, Kara. Sort of. But a hell of a lot's happened since then. They go out, she sees the raider but he doesn't - real or not? Then Boom! Hmmmmm. So, if nothing was there, what hit her ship? Leoben taking her flashbacking again. She's protesting - I write my own destiny. The old "it happened before, it will happen again" bit. Ouch. Mom just keeps jabbing. Only mentally now that Kara is all grow'd up and she can't smack her around. "You're special." "No, I'm not." And Kara says she's leaving, mom can die alone.

Now we know why the Oracle was crying. She must have saw Kara's pending death. Am I the only one who thinks the wall of pictures is both sad and also kind of lovely at the same time? I wonder if we'll see Apollo put her picture on that wall next week. I don't think he is going to handle Kara's death all that well.

Mom is dead, or wait - Leoben can take Kara down a path she didn't go in real life? Kara gets closure, sees mom cared all along, was proud of her, etc. But is this Leoben really, or is this really what would have happened, or just Kara's hallucinating dying, oxygen starved mind and what it would have wanted to happen? Ooooh, Virgo brew. [/tangent] So, "something's about to happen". This is what mom was preparing her for - to face death? To "cross over" - cross over to what? Did Starbuck really die in the exploding ship or did she eject into the clouds, into some wacky destiny? Did she go somewhere else? Is she a Cylon and she'll wake up in a vat of goo? Lee tells them there is not point in a search and rescue. Yeah, whatever really happened, I don't think they can do anything about it at this point. Adama puts the Aurora figure on his ship and then destroys it.

I'm thinking there's more to Kara. Crossing over. Into death? To recognizing herself as one of the final five? Leoban suggests it's death. I'm not so sure. I'm not so sure either. I think we got a lot of possibilities here.

Talk about your unresolved issues with mommie dearest! Wow! Anyone else reminded of Gray's Anatomy with that scene between Kara and her mother? Makes a change from daddy issues, I guess.

They have some nice special effects on this show. But really, I am not following at all, because Kara . . . I just don't know anything about her. Bur I guess I will learn, huh? She seems to be the Chosen One. With an awful lot of baggage to get over. ;D Many many bags. Carry ons. And large suitcases. And old musty trunks. And a storage locker.

It's good they made peace before her mother died. I think her mother was waiting for that before she died. I'm not liking Leoban telling her to give up and die. I'm not sure Leoban has any power over where she ends up, though. I'm wondering if Kara may still surprise us all.

He wants her to die so she'll be reborn in a new body. Think she'll be coming to in a vat of goo on a cylon ship, perhaps?
