Crew is angry they're at risk because of Baltar's lawyer. Cally blames the Cylons. She's right about not letting this divide them, make them suspicous of each other. But at the same time, I think she' wrong about Cylon involvement. Which, I guess means they do need to be suspicious of each other. Lee's making up for his previous security laxness. Because daddy pushed his buttons. "If they want to kill me, they will." Well, he's kinda right there. Baltar is freaking out, dude! Oooh, and nice cut to Roslin also looking for something. Glasses? Lee pushing his dad, talking about "in the interests of fairness" and pushing them about getting the files. Heh. Lee's helping the lawyer guy more now. Because he pushed his buttons. "I'm the one who should have stabbed him." "Things are looking up." ;D Oh, Six! Oh, Roslin! Cylon love is not like human love - relates it to pain. Hey! Now he's pushing Six's buttons! "Did he . . . ask about me?" Using the pen . . "he wanted you to have it because he would do anything to be with you again". Oh, he's good. He's very good. He's like a Cyrano for Baltar and Six! Except I'd be worried that the pen contained some type of technology. Maybe passing communication between them or something. But then again, I'm paranoid. " You won't get a trial. Not even a bad one." Ooooh, he's turning her. I mean, he's right, but he's also getting to her good, all in the name of helping his client. And Roslin knows they're in trouble now! Lee and the lawyer, chattin' aobut the truth. Lee spills his guts, once again. This guy just has a knack for getting people to talk. Makes him a good lawyer, I guess. "Be a good boy, don't be too good". Well, that pretty much sums up poor Apollo's life right there. Interesting. Grandpa defended the "worst of the worst". Heee! Calling Lee "the bad boy" and a"serial contrarian". ;D So very very true. If Adama says "black" then Lee must say "white". Oooh, these security guys are acutally good! And there goes another bomb - but hopefully they pushed the lawyer guy out of the way in time.

Iron Handed President Roslin Lee as CAG who has lost his stuff. He called Racetrack "Starbuck" Oh boy. The boss needs some time off. Holy crap he's willing to represent Baltar! It's Badger! They HAVE kittys to herd! Uh, but he brought the cat along anyways? Precious animal, I guess. Bomb-sniffing kitty? Seems like he respected Joe Adama, although he says he hated him I think Badger/Romo is an awesome addition to the cast. I hope he gets to stay on for a bit. The sunglasses are a bit off-putting. You don't suppose he's hiding something behind them? Ah - it helps him with his pickpocketing. He was also good at picking at Lee's brain. I'm sensing a set-up.

Lee wants to help Lampkin get his case to gether to clear Baltar? Why? Someone explain! To be contrary. To follow in Grandpa's footsteps. To piss off his dad. Because no one else wants to. Because he's been seduced by the lawyer guy and his complex world-weary cynical nobleness. ;D

Lee wants to help Lampkin get his case to gether to clear Baltar? Why? Someone explain! To understand why people do the things they do - especially in the case of Kara. He thinks defending Baltar will give him some insights. so in order to gain insight to Kara's death he is willing to help Baltar walk?

Huh. So, he's a bit of a klepto, but all in the name of learning about people. Learning about their motives and into their souls and so on. Interesting how he says of Adama that "the soldier in him has had enough". Was thinking of taking Kara's picture from Lee, but "you've had enough stolen from you". Wants him to bring the pen to Baltar. Is it just me that keeps wanting someone to make sure that is really just a pen?! Oh, damn. It's Lee's buddy - that Kelly guy - that was doing the bombing. "Better lock me up, I won't stop. Every day I send people out to fight." Ah, another battle of the wills between Adama and Lee. Although it is rather stunning that Adama starts off by saying he was wrong, that he made it worse. But then of course they get re-bogged down into all their past history and father and son issues. They always gotta be butting heads, those two. Lee puts Starbuck's picture up. Right next to what's her name. Sam! Ah, poor Sam and his "lucky break". My god I sooooo badly want to see them get drunk and sweaty and . . . . bond . . . together over Kara's death. **goes to happy place, or at least as happy as it can be with Kara dead** Ahem. I'm back. So, we end with Baltar getting his pen back and the lawyer guy handing out some very interesting advice regarding sons and fathers and stepping out of other people's shade.

He stole her glasses, the little bastard! Doesn't think that she'll get new ones made? She's the pres, after all. Adama's missing button. So he's a klepto, partially in the service of his profession. Partially in service of his own curiosity. Heee! Brainshare. Those two! For every step towards each other they take they always gotta take another step back. I am finding myself mightily amused by Baltar and his pajamas of insanity. Dude!! This is sooo the thing I want to know! Ah, but will he always be able to recognise when things are going too far? That's my worry.

Bummer. Not many eps left. Two, right? Damn. So, do we think the season ending cliffhanger is maybe gonna be the trial? Or will they surprise the hell out of us again, like last season?

K, The reason for my asking is I am not quite familiar enough with the characters to make the judgement on my own. I really need to go ahead and catch up the first 2 seasons so I will understand more before this season ends. Lee Adama? has a Broomhandle of Morality so far up his tuchus that he can't bend over to save his life. Hee! You say that like he has a choice.

I don't think he thinks that Baltar will walk - but he's is terribly interested in the process - in justice being served.

Sheppard is such an incredible actor: I can't think of a role I've seen him in that I didn't like him in. Granted, a lot of the time I've thought of the characters as evil weaselly bastards, but damned well-acted WBs. He's slated to be in two more episodes. I think the sunglasses are to hide where his eyes shift to: part of it is for the pick-pocketing, part of it is to hide his "tells" from his competition, which, in his case, seems to be "the universe." Taking off his glasses to talk with Cix was a deliberate move to establish intimacy with her: and, because he's damned good, it worked.

Even if he's found "not guilty" (which doesn't seem likely) he's gonna have to be kept in protective custody for the rest of his life. He is in too many people's minds as the figurehead for submission to the cylon occupation on New Caprica. Jail, essentially.

But Lee is always concerned with what's right. I can sooo see him getting all wrapped up in making sure the trial is as fair as it is possible to be.
