Well, Monnie & I are on our last day of the two-week Slimfast thing, and are moving on to Jared's Subway diet . . . with modifications.
It's been a good experience trying to eat better and get more exercise, with a partner. It does help keep me motivated, which is good.
Also, since I'm using my exercise bike, I've started watching my Buffy DVD's, starting with Season 1. I finished one and started on S2 yesterday - so I watched Some Assembly Required today. Hadn't seen that on in ages!
School Hard, tomorrow - yay!

I have moved my little "step machine" into the living room, so I can climb stairs as I watch TV.

Thanks for all the S'cubie support over the past few days. There's nothing like it. All my sympathy to you and your family, Shan. And what a lovely photo of your parents! I can really see a bit of you in both of them.

Peace and love to you too, Shan, and to your family. May your Dad's spirit run free forever. What a wonderful picture. I had to look twice to make sure they weren't a young Donald Sutherland and Faye Dunaway... Oh, I can totally see that!! Exactly!!

The basketball game was kind of dead so there weren't many people getting H1N1 shots. But I did do one. Technique was pretty bad, but the guy didn't seem like he was in any pain and he's vaccinated and all, so...yay? Yay, you, with the doctoring stuff!

I always thought that about my mom when I was a kid, that she looked like Faye Dunaway. But I never thought about him looking like Donald Sutherland. I don't think I knew who that was at the time. ;D Everybody's been napping today. It's a good thing. Catching up on missed sleep. We went to McDonald's for lunch today. She and my sister NEVER have McDonald's but Mom decided she wanted some really salty fries. It sounds a little morbid but it was an "in honor of" thing. She had Dad's last real meal for lunch: a bacon cheeseburger. Come on! It's what he wanted! And they were desperate to get him to eat something at the time.

Exam was canceled today because of the snow, so I have one more day to study at least. Yay.

Exam was canceled today because of the snow, so I have one more day to study at least. Yay. Yay. School officials here are so relieved that it was already a holiday. Maybe an inch. But it rained first and then when the temp dropped 15 degrees the wet froze under the snow. So it's a thin coating of ice covered with a bit more than a dusting of snow. Really quite treacherous to drive on. Jim didn't park his car down at the bottom of the driveway so he's probably working from home (I heard him on the phone with his assistant -- apparently no meetings and lots of computer/dictation work so actually easier to do at home with no interruptions) at least until we broom or scrape the snow off and the "sun" melts the ice. Very well may have our 7th snow day tomorrow. Which sounds impressive but if you are going to miss 7 days of school you should at least get a big dump like 8 or 10 inches! [Not complaining, this is the "snowiest" winter we've had in ages but it would be fun to pile 6 snowfalls of 2 inches up into one of 12 inches--- just call me Monnie.)
