Welcome to Part 1093 of the Soulful Spike Society Main Thread! Trying to "get offline?" (And yes, that is what the kids are calling it these days) Before you do, visit our website for all sorts of fan-fiction, essays, and reviews, all written by our resident S'cubies. Surely you'll find something there to help you get off.
Slow-moving interwebs make you all testy and wanting to hurt something? Well, a sure way to hurt yourself is by posting spoilers anywhere but in the Spoiled Souls thread. Trust me, you don't want to push us on this one.
In the FREAKING LONG TIME it's taking your pages to load, did you just now realize you don't know how the heck to post around here and be a good little S'cubie? Check out our Rules. We don't take kindly to them that try to stir up trouble, so might as well use some of this BLANK PAGESTILLWTF?! time to take a peek at our FAQ page.
Like to discuss politics, religion, PCs v. Macs, or other hot-button topics? Then visit our Open Topics thread, because those topics are off-limits here. My biggest gripe with my shiny iMac thus far? No Spider to play when MY INTERNET IS SO FREAKING SLOW.
Don't wanna be left behind on all the latest TV talk? Join us in the I Love, Love, LOVE TV thread to discuss such shows as Supernatural, House, Fringe, Bones, and many others. Don't know why you should want to discuss Supernatural? Here's three reasons:
Seriously, if that doesn't convince you then I never really knew you at all, did I?
Get to posting!

quorn. "Mycoprotein is the main ingredient in all Quorn products. It's made from a member of the fungi family (like mushrooms and truffles)" or, if you ask wiki (which wasn't written by marketing dudes) "Fusarium venenatum is a fungus, more precisely a mould, from which a mycoprotein can be derived. It is used in the manufacture of Quorn, a meat substitute marketed to vegetarians." And according to the vegetarian society: "Mycoprotein is a food made by continuous fermentation of the fungus, Fusarium gramineurum. The fungus is grown in a large fermentation tower to which oxygen, nitrogen, glucose, minerals, and vitamins are continually added. After harvesting, the fungus is heat treated to reduce its RNA content to World Health Organisation recommended levels before being filtered and drained. The resulting sheet of fungal mycelia is mixed with free range egg egg albumen which acts a binder. Flavouring and colouring may also be added. The mycoprotein is then textured to resemble meat, before being sliced, diced or shredded. Mycoprotein is a source of protein, fibre, biotin, iron and zinc, and is low in saturated fat. " Doesn't that sound tasty?

So maybe I'm having a tough time at the moment, but when I look at this it makes me feel so much better. I mean, what other med school in the country has view like this? More pictures in the photo thread.

I really want to get these shoes, but they are out of stock of the size and color that they want. They've been out of stock for a while now and their website says they are working on it, but don't say when they will be resupplied. So I keep checking periodically, to no avail. Sigh.

See: new part good.
Monnie-part. Vlad appearance. Vegetarian spam. Leverage squee. Rural snowy med school pic. Funky toe-shoes.
And it's only page one. Interesting people, interesting place.
