I've never seen The Singing Detective, but I know many folks do love it a lot. I don't think it is probably to my taste, however. On the other hand, I have seen Pennies From Heaven, both the televised and the movie versions, and do like that a lot (well, most of it, anyway). And Lipstick On Your Collar was really rather delightful, from what I can recall. I can highly recommend the original with Michael Gambon. Never saw the remake with Robert Downey Jr.. Denis Potter was always harsh, but brilliant. Jan and I loved him.. in small doses. Hi Scubes. Love and prayers to Emily. Kudos to Spring for considering foster parenting. Hugs to all who need it. Rich! Good to see you. Thanks for the kudos. I need the encouragement. Not that I don't want to do it - I do want to do it. But it's really rushing the "reality acceptance" along, and that part is hard.

I think you are very courageous to go down that path. Back atcha.

Vincent is not in any way replaceable, but the resources I devoted to him, and saved up for him, are lying fallow. And - well, once you've done it for awhile, you just don't stop being a mom. So here I am . . . a Mom with no one to mother. And I live in this impoverished area, with plenty of children who need mothering. So - it makes sense, and it will be as good for me as it is for any kid who comes along, is my hope. I had a guy come by to look over my basement and give me an estimate on foundation repairs yesterday. So I'm actually taking steps toward getting the house in shape. I expect the $$ amt to be quite substantial, but it needs to be done. GOOD MORNING, S'CUBIES!!!!

What you need is a full copper re-pipe job.
WILLOW: Full copper re-pipe? That sounds potentially pricey.
TITO: Well, if you have any questions, our number's on the invoice.
DAWN: That's a weird phone number. Oh, wait. (to Xander) Is that the bill? Been there, done that. (3 times in fact) Is that something the foster-care people require? A good foundation (for the house)? May I ask if you are using someone with a national name brand (like Olshan)? But you are a smart woman, so I assume you are getting several bids. I talked to at least 4-5 different companies and had bids from 5,000-14,000! (also, it's a big house) -- but some thought a "little" tweaking would do while others wanted to dig out the front, back and sides to shore everything up. I finally went with a company recommended by an engineer friend of mine, just for the trust factor. Plus, he was on the lower/do less end. He did the front, patched the crack between the bricks on the back and said we'd take a "wait and see attitude." He thought fixing the front would stabilize the back so we are just watching that crack. 3 years on and it hasn't reappeared so I'm glad I didn't pay for the more expensive/extensive fix.

Sue: Spring: You are extraordinary and I wish you all the best in your new endeavor. Any child you foster will be lucky to have you in his/her corner. Rich: Good to see you, buddy. Who's up for a new part?

We're all done with our verbal feast here but a new, delectable dish is being served cold (ready to be heated) over here.
