OK - fish, and there are supposed to be some bubbles, and of course, she has a goldfish bowl hat . . . This one takes the prize. Wonderful!!! Copied to the PR thread.

Jeremy got a vocabulary worksheet to fill out for one of his classes, a question from which was "What is tact?" He sent me a photo of it along with the text message, "You have NO IDEA how much I wanted to say "Not saying true stuff."" I'm so proud! Awesome. ;D

I am home. Visit was good. No family issues surfaced. Worst problems were boredom and missing S'cubies. Father's computer is a dial-up and much too slow to use for multiple postings or even waiting for postings to appear.
Injured eye is better. Can see out of, does not hurt much any more. Have abandoned using antibiotics.
Back at work today (long story why I'd go back to work on a Friday).
Also, have been in contact with ex-boyfriend from high school years. Am thinking self is out of its mind, but first contacts went pleasantly.
Must do some actual work now.
Missed you.

Bestest Buddy prefers going back to work on Friday after a vacation; she says that way she can deal with some of the piled-up paperwork so the following Monday she can start fresh. Can't really advise you on exbf, but another friend is a good thing in any case.

I like the idea of companionship, but am not ready for anything beyond that. If that's what he's looking for, well--sorry to disappoint. Hell, I'm not even ready for a cat!

Jim is here. Yoshi is here. NPR is on the radio. I feel like I'm watching Dr. Arzt talk about how volatile old dynamite is...

Thank you all for your good thoughts. My dad was found by a friend on Monday. He went in his sleep. Mom and I flew out to his town yesterday and are taking care of the arrangements, etc. I'm sorry I couldn't say anything before, but I had to inform others who might have reacted poorly. I'm so glad to finally hear from you, but very sorry about your news. I'm glad your mom is with you for support.

OK - fish, and there are supposed to be some bubbles, and of course, she has a goldfish bowl hat . . . <snip> Oh, it's so pretty!!! Lovely, lovely, lovely!! And that is a genius touch with the fishbowl hat! I bow down to your skillz and your awesome creative spark, Spring! Merciful Zeus, how did you get that wonderful shading to the skirt, so we can see how the light strikes it and how the fabric flows and . . . Well, it's just glorious, really. I couldn't do it without your many, many ideas to choose from. That's really what helps the most - lots of ideas, with everyone understanding that I'm not going to be able to use many of them - because I have so little time and I need to quickly find something that works, and then I have to stick to it, if I am to have any hope of finishing on time. The shading on the skirt is just what was already there. I can change the color without loosing the shading. And though I tried to make it look cohesive and like a "pattern," the fishies were plopped on individually, on top of the colored skirt. DIANE: Glad to hear from you. Missed you for the PR desiging. Communicated with the old bf, huh? Nothin' wrong with that. Just do it for fun and without any particular expectations, I'd say. Then whatever happens or doesn't happen - if it's good, gravy! If it's blah, no biggie.
