So, Jensen Ackles got married yesterday. I have been in mourning. I keep trying to tell myself that it's only because he hasn't met me yet. Hopefully, I'll start believing it soon. I hate feeling like he'd rather have sex with someone other than me or Misha.

Did Jensen look sexy in his tux?

Two hours of The Biggest Loser? Perhaps this is a ploy to push people to SyFy, which is abandoning Friday for Tuesday. Julia, not much there, indeed It's always been 2 hours long. Well, I think a couple of times it's only been an hour, but only in special circumstances. They could easily cut it down to about half an hour though, if they cut out all the whining and crying and product promotion. I can't imagine watching ten minutes of it without wanting to off myself (or the production company). Julia, yeech

Is that too much to ask? Jim is blabbing all over the place about his contract. I want MISHA NEWS.

Did Jensen look sexy in his tux? Yes, there are pictures and yes, he looks beyond sexy. Like drop dead sexy. I don't know about Monnie but I try to stay out of places like spn gossip where everyone firmly believes that Jensen and Jared are gay and their marriages are fake. That's one crazy spot. To be honest - spn fandom crazy has been rampant a lot lately - posting private pics of Misha and Jensen's wedding so . . . . Monnie and I are pretending we don't know these people.

It can be very inspirational at times, but I just don't have the patience to watch it consistently.

And once she's got him all trained to always put the toilet seat down, he'll drop her ass and marry you.

Saying that others "suited better" doesn't mean you're bad or lacking, just that you weren't a good fit for that job and probably wouldn't have been happy there. So true. I mean "candidate A was better suited" isn't really a commentary on anyone but candidate A. It doesn't say the other candidates were awful, or even "unsuited." Just says that of all the candidates, candidate A was the best fit. Los Angeles you say, Erin? I have been in San Diego twice, and the LA area once, and it's pretty and fantastic to visit. But I do not think I would like to live there. So crowded. So very, very crowded and metropolitan - which is fine for some, but to continue the theme, we are not suited for each other. Maybe you can post a bit more (possibly Admin thread) about what you are looking for and your qualifications and we S'cubes can all keep an eye out for ya? "Metropolitan"? You say that like it's a bad thing. Not that we are - Southern California is more a disorganized mass of sprawling suburbs. Of course, if LA was more "metropolitan", maybe we'd have an actual functioning mass transit system... And that goes for Orange County, too. No buses anywhere near the high school (and large industrial park downhill, and several medical centers, etc, etc, etc).

Message to participants in comment threads everywhere: Saying "Who is she?" doesn't make you look too cool for school. Ever. Thanks ever so. Julia, Ashley Greene, this time, although I still haven't recovered from the guy who was all "who is she" about Eryka Badu Ah! Alice! The only awesome thing about the Twilight franchise!

I was going to post something about this week's episode of Fringe (yes, I still have a few must-watch shows, uncool as that may be ), but I can't form coherent thoughts about it. Suffice it to say that the episode was pretty damn good. Also, the AU Fringe Division reminded me of what I've seen of Torchwood (which is not much), although their logo was pure Buckaroo Banzai. As someone who loves hell out of Torchwood (still, even after CoE), I have to say that the Alternate Fringe Division has something going for it that TW3 does not have. Competence. The threat has come through a rift in space and time, and most of them have been neutralized, and not one of the Alternate Fringe Team members has slept with any of them yet. Though all bets may be off if Sexy Alternate Olivia gets a hold of her doppleganger. Also? I WANT THEM TO DO THAT TO OUR STATUE OF LIBERTY!!! It looked so pretty, with the pickling and the clearcoating. So yeah, more like the HK Cavaliers than TW3. Man, I'd love to see a Buckaroo Banzai TV show. But it would be impossible to re-cast Buckaroo or Perfect Tommy...

They've also canceled Heroes. Then again, I actually couldn't make the effort (which would have been one) to watch past the second season while I was England. Which is kind of bad, since I have a thesis chapter on the damn show. Oh, thank goodness. When pets that are a part of my life are that lamed and halt and miserable, I take them to the vet to get them put to sleep. I couldn't actually do this with a television show. Glad I didn't stop watching, though, if only for the fact that the last part of the Sylar arc actually WORKED as far as giving him time, motivation, and direction in working for redemption. Years and years of introspection as a cask of amontillado actually worked for me in giving him time to examine himself. And man, but the first season was rather epic in what it promised and what it partially delivered.
