Monster epic photo post required three parts, the first of which was started and published before the clock hit midnight—albeit just barely. Uno.Dos.Tres.

Three shows out of the six I'm looking forward to; the other three are Mad Men, Warehouse 13, and Eureka. One I wish CBS would >snip for vulgarism< make up its mind about is Flashpoint; there are now two unaired seasons, and it's been renewed in Canada for a fourth season; CBS says it will air the show but refuses to get pinned down to things like when. Julia, stupid stupid suicidal networks White Collar, Burn Notice, Mad Men, Eureka - indeed! (And Leverage, of course, but that's on the opposite schedule of White Collar and Burn Notice. ;D ) And yeah, what's the deal with Flashpoint, eh? Sooooooo wanting Mad Men back. And the Eureka mini-marathons on Sciffy always make me think it will be back soon and then it turns out, not so much. It's still the ratings leader in Canada, and there are something like thirty already aired episodes for which CBS has the American rights, and yet it sits unaired; I expect they were scared off by the American critics and TV writers (most especially Ausiello) who as far as I can tell wrote their reviews of the pilot after watching it over their shoulder while reading Boing Boing, or something. CBS sucks. Julia, if I did not have twenty places for every penny right now (as in I need another $2K in dental work soonest) I'd buy the dvds

Uno.Dos.Tres.Just in case I forget to say, I look forward to these every day, and love the Kaylee stuff even when I don't say so. But, Indigo Buntings. On my "birds I've never seen and would travel to Vermont for a glimpse" list, although see above, not going anywhere any time soon. Julia, not in the more fun part of my life these days.

It's been raining off and on and sometimes quite heavily since Friday. Flash flood watches. We broke the record for wettest May about 3 or 4 inches ago. Now we've broken the record for wettest month (it was previously Jan. 1937) ever, period, in Nashville with 13 days left in the month. Some airports in Scotland are the rest of the UK are shut down again. Haven't heard from Allie in a couple of days but I think she is supposed to fly back to London maybe tomorrow?

Huh. NBC has canceled Law & Order, Mercy, Trauma and Heroes. It would be great if these were being replaced by must-see TV, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're all replaced by low quality reality crap. Whoa! Law and Order? I would have thought that was the eternal show. Or is it still going to be new on Bravo and what not, just not NBC maybe? And yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath for amazing new shows. The original show has been canceled, but there is going to be yet *another* spin-off: Law & Order: Los Angeles (or LOLA, for short ;D). LO: CI is on USA, and LO:SVU is still going to be on NBC, I believe. I think we should come up with some shows that we would like to see. You know, with a fantasy cast, instead of fantasy football. Anybody want to play? Like, how about a re-imagining of Twin Peaks, starring James Marsters, John Barrowman, Gina Torres and Alan Tudyk? Written and directed by Joss Whedon and Jane Espenson!! Wouldn't that be the shit??!?!?

Cool. I like the Geranium, which looks like G. malvafolium, which I think is an East Coast native; I'd go drag out my referance, because not knowing drived me spare, but it's in the bookcase with glass doors barricaded behind Anna's laundry. Julia, too tired to think after Cousin Bill's 30th wedding anniversary party

Yeah, she's supposed to fly out of Edinburgh at 11:45 am tomorrow (it's 2 am right now) but AP reports are saying Heathrow will be closed from 1 am to 7 am due to ash issues. Thing is, they are booked on British Airways which has a STRIKE scheduled starting Tuesday for 20 days! So if their Monday flight doesn't go it could be tough getting back to London by Wednesday am for their flights home. I'm guessing train tickets will be in short supply. Well, they are young, time for an adventure.

The big spring weekend is done! Always, every year, the weekend that contains the MN AIDS Walk (today) also coincides with the bit planing and clean up day at my condos (yesterday). So, lots of physical action this weekend! But our landscaping now looks very nice (I helped dig out and replace all the dead bushes - yay! Looks soooo much better!) and our little team of only 4 people turned in over $2,000 today before doing the 10k walk in very very lovely weather!
Yay us! Yay me! **dances about**

Two hours of The Biggest Loser? Perhaps this is a ploy to push people to SyFy, which is abandoning Friday for Tuesday. Julia, not much there, indeed

Two hours of The Biggest Loser? Perhaps this is a ploy to push people to SyFy, which is abandoning Friday for Tuesday. Julia, not much there, indeed It's always been 2 hours long. Well, I think a couple of times it's only been an hour, but only in special circumstances. They could easily cut it down to about half an hour though, if they cut out all the whining and crying and product promotion.
