Welcome to Part 1105 of the Soulful Spike Society Main Thread! Wanna visit a land where anything is possible? Opportunities abound at our website, where you'll find all sorts of fan-fiction, essays, and reviews written by our resident S'cubies.
Posting spoilers anywhere but on the Spoiled Souls will make the Technopagans very unhappy. You won't like us when we're very unhappy. Our angry eyebrows will be the least of your worries.
Breaking our Rules will get you trapped in a ring of Holy fire while being forced to watch a marathon of Two and a Half Men*. And you will not be allowed to take a shower to purify yourself after that much exposure to Charlie Sheen. We don't joke about our rules, assbutt.
Disagree with me that Castiel and Dean are MFEO**? Then let's take our discussion about how you are ridiculous, short, and insane over to the Open Topics thread, because that kind of hot-button topic shouldn't be discussed in these here gentle waters.
Don't have a clue what this post is talking about, but you kinda think you might want to know? Then take yourself over to the Supernatural thread in our I Love, Love, LOVE TV section, where we discuss such shows as this one as well as House, Fringe, Bones, and many others. It's a good place to hang.
Happy weekending, everyone!
*TP's opinion of the television show Two and a Half Men does not necessarily reflect the opinions of other technopagans of this forum or of the Soulful Spike Society as a whole. That being said, I loathe that show with the fiery passion of a thousand burning suns. And even limited exposure to Charlie Sheen makes me feel as if I need to take a Silkwood shower with bleach.
**MFEO=Made For Each Other. Yes, Twitter has me talking like a 12 year old girl even more than I was before.
(pic was made by some awesometastic person on LJ, but I can't remember who--whoever you are, if you ever see this, sorry I didn't give you credit! )

LOL on the "now back at me" opening!
"Two and a Half Men" is actually a funny show, but, yeah, it's hard to forget I'm looking at Charlie Sheen.

Monnificus the Elegant, great starter.
I am not big on any half-hour sitcom, but what I've seen of 2.5M makes me feel very similarly to the way it makes you feel.
Julia, must go wash the vegetation out of my hair.

Yeah, I've been told by a few people that it's a hilarious show, but there is absolutely no way I could ever get past the Sheen Ick Factor ©. Which is unfortunate for me because he was in Lucas which is a movie I used to love but haven't been able to watch in a long time due to me growing disgust of him.

Anybody planning on watching this new USA show?
Covert Affairs
new this summer, premieres 7/13 TIME SLOT: tuesdays from 10:00 PM-11:00 PM EST
DESCRIPTION: (from USA's press release, May 2010) In COVERT AFFAIRS, USA's newest original series, we meet Annie Walker (Piper Perabo), a young CIA trainee who is suddenly thrust into the inner sanctum of the agency after being promoted to field operative. Peter Gallagher is Arthur Campbell, the formidable director of Clandestine Services for the CIA. Sendhil Ramamurthy plays Jai Wilcox, an agent with a rich family history within the walls of the CIA. Anne Dudek plays Danielle, a married mother of two and Annie's older sister who knows nothing of Annie's life as a spy. Kari Matchett plays Joan, head of the CIA's Domestic Protection Division...and Arthur's wife. From Universal Cable Productions, COVERT AFFAIRS is executive produced by Doug Liman (the "Bourne" trilogy, "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," "The O.C.") and Dave Bartis ("The O.C.," "The Heist") through Dutch Oven and written and co-executive produced by Matt Corman ("Deck the Halls") and Chris Ord ("Deck the Halls"). Good Sunday morning, S'cubes!
Am expecting Michelle this evening - yay!! It is so great of her to come all this way.
I love me some S'cubies!
Went out and got flowers for laying on the bench after my short dedication speech. I still need to figure out how to keep people off of the bench when they start coming in for the overall Mem Day event . . .
I was thinking about using some ribbon and tomato stakes, but maybe some potted plants on either end would work . . . well, I will figure it out.
Am trying to even out the mood vacillations before the event.
The weather predictions are now showing "chance of a thunderstorm" - yeee. If it just holds off until later in the afternoon . . .

Watched the House finale, on Hulu! Nicely done. As several pointed out, it was hard to watch, but good. Watched a couple of the eps right before it as well.
Also watched the last several eps of NCIS. I felt like I missed too much this season and was a little confused by some of it, but basically well done. I loved the ending.

Morning everyone.
Raining again, bleurgh. I was going to cut grass while Franklin slept this morning, and then get cleaned up to go mattress shopping, but now I'm stuck with blooming grass.
Julia, and a sinus headache from the damned grass pollen.
