Best. Opener. Ever. Oh, and pics.Hey, Sara, check your link? Julia, scurrying over to your LJ and hoping to find the right link there. Thanks so much for letting me know—I've gotten it fixed over on LJ, and modified the original post here. Given how late at night I seem to end up doing some of my photo posts, it's a minor miracle this hasn't happened before now.

Welcome to Part 1105 of the Soulful Spike Society Main Thread!
<snip> Wanna visit a land where anything is possible? Opportunities abound at our website, where you'll find all sorts of fan-fiction, essays, and reviews written by our resident S'cubies.
Posting spoilers anywhere but on the Spoiled Souls will make the Technopagans very unhappy. You won't like us when we're very unhappy. Our angry eyebrows will be the least of your worries.
Breaking our Rules will get you trapped in a ring of Holy fire while being forced to watch a marathon of Two and a Half Men*. And you will not be allowed to take a shower to purify yourself after that much exposure to Charlie Sheen. We don't joke about our rules, assbutt.
Disagree with me that Castiel and Dean are MFEO**? Then let's take our discussion about how you are ridiculous, short, and insane over to the Open Topics thread, because that kind of hot-button topic shouldn't be discussed in these here gentle waters.
Don't have a clue what this post is talking about, but you kinda think you might want to know? Then take yourself over to the Supernatural thread in our I Love, Love, LOVE TV section, where we discuss such shows as this one as well as House, Fringe, Bones, and many others. It's a good place to hang.
Happy weekending, everyone!
*TP's opinion of the television show Two and a Half Men does not necessarily reflect the opinions of other technopagans of this forum or of the Soulful Spike Society as a whole. That being said, I loathe that show with the fiery passion of a thousand burning suns. And even limited exposure to Charlie Sheen makes me feel as if I need to take a Silkwood shower with bleach.
**MFEO=Made For Each Other. Yes, Twitter has me talking like a 12 year old girl even more than I was before.
(pic was made by some awesometastic person on LJ, but I can't remember who--whoever you are, if you ever see this, sorry I didn't give you credit! )
BWAHAHAH!!! ;D

Well, that's fucking weird.
Some time between the time we got home from mattress shopping about 4pm, and then when we got home from grocery shopping about 6:30, someone cut down all the scotch broom that was growing on a piece of ground about thirty feet square and stacked it in the field access lane below my house.
Made a terrible mess of it, too, so it'll all have to be gone over and cut flat besides getting rid of the scotchbroom plant. And nothing stinks worse than broom cut whileit's blooming.
Julia, dammit.

Just finished having dinner and a nice visit with Michelle! She is coming to the dedication tomorrow and spending the night in a motel near where the dedication will be.
MONNIE: We had a very cute waiter! And the best part - guess what his name was? Yes, that right: Misha.

The girl cannot keep her boobs hands off a cute waiter.

Hey ho, everyone! So, which of the American S'cubies have what kinds of plans for Memorial Day, eh? I may go over to Lakewood Cemetery - they always do things all day long and they are in town - just a few blocks from me. Sis and I haven't gotten dad's and mom's ashes to Fort Snelling quite yet, (it really is just a matter of getting the right paperwork from the cremation society and dad's discharge papers and so on, we just have to get organized enough to do it : so we probably won't visit there this year . . . although we could go visit Uncle Irv's grave . . . We'll probably just play it by ear. Friday was a fun early evening event out at the zoo - they opened a new portion of the tropics area. The new director of the zoo is putting a much larger focus on entire habitats, so this new exhibit's highlight is a group display of African tropical forest animals. Colobus monkeys, De Brazza's monkeys, red river hogs, and rock hyrax. Very very lively and very fun!! The colobus monkeys are wonderful! (The pics below do not look too big on my computer, but techs feel free to make smaller if they look too big to you guys. ) And then I went to the penultimate concert of the orchestra season. Delightful, truly delightful very chamber music-ish presentation of Dvorák's Serenade in D minor for Wind Instruments (with a surprisingly great part for the cello - who knew!) followed by Bartók's Concerto No. 2 with Christian Tetzlaff on solo violin. Killer! And then they ended things with Stravinsky's Petrushka - dance, magic folk puppets, dance!

And why am I not surprised about the waiter?

Christopher Gorham plays Auggie Anderson, a CIA military intelligence agent, blinded while on assignment, and Annie's guide in this world of bureaucracy, excitement and intrigue. Peter Gallagher is Arthur Campbell, the formidable director of Clandestine Services for the CIA. Sendhil Ramamurthy plays Jai Wilcox, an agent with a rich family history within the walls of the CIA. Anne Dudek plays Danielle, a married mother of two and Annie's older sister who knows nothing of Annie's life as a spy. Kari Matchett plays Joan, head of the CIA's Domestic Protection Division...and Arthur's wife. From Universal Cable Productions, COVERT AFFAIRS is executive produced by Doug Liman (the "Bourne" trilogy, "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," "The O.C.") and Dave Bartis ("The O.C.," "The Heist") through Dutch Oven and written and co-executive produced by Matt Corman ("Deck the Halls") and Chris Ord ("Deck the Halls").
