Also, man, you and Monnie should be here today! It's raining again!
Julia, and sixty-ish, and I need to get the bedroom clean so the new mattress can come in tomorrow.

So I'm no longer the product of two primes. I'm the product of the squares of two primes. In any case, Happiest of birthdays brother in squirreltood, and may there be many more, each happier than the last. Julia, in a very metaspace today, or there would be pictures and stuff. Imagine the thing you want most, that would make you happiest, and know that I would go to the ends of the universe to get it for you if it were in my power. Thank you, Julia. Would that such things were in all of our powers. I appreciate the thought as the action, dear sister.

If ya could export the rain this way a bit... we need it to help keep the bays and bayous cleared out in the imminent oilpocalypse. But not a hurricane...

If ya could export the rain this way a bit... we need it to help keep the bays and bayous cleared out in the imminent oilpocalypse. But not a hurricane...Yeah, the kind of "persistant drizzle with moments of downpour" we've been having is good for keeping the shoreline clean, minus the danger of flooding sewage treatment plants and farm manure lagoons, but it isn't much like your regular south-of-forty weather. Good for growing pasture grass, but Farmer Freddie's sweetcorn and corm maze may not get planted this year, as the ground is so wet it eats tractors. Julia, and I am FED UP with wet grass pollen, which sticks to everything.

Quiet day. I've been eating a lot of honey as a treat lately, being the only sugar I am able to eat. As a result, I am feeling very Winnie the Poohish today. Well," said Pooh, "what I like best -- " and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called.-- Winnie the Pooh, The House at Pooh CornerAnticipation....That's what we need more of around here.

Have a magnificent birthday, Matthew. I wasn't certain what you'd like as a present, so here is Amy Pond (played by Karen Gillan), the companion of Doctor 11. Presumably because that's the number her legs go up to. ;D

*chuckles* That seems fairly accurate. What am I saying? It's just terrible to see a great British company so shabbily portrayed. Although for some years they've claimed BP stands for "Beyond Petroleum." There isn't an eyebrow-raised-to-the-ceiling smilie. ;D

Just got back from a fantastic dinner with my family and special guests Rich and Sara! The family and I came to Vermont to see a nephew graduate from high school, and luckily Sara and Rich were available to meet for dinner. Hopefully, my family didn't scare them too much... My sister ordered dessert, a chocolate bombe that came with a scoop of ice cream on top. It was very artfully displayed on the plate with little tear droplets of caramel sauce ringing the dessert, so my sister's husband tipped the plate to give my mother a better view of the artistry. The end result being the ice cream went tumbling off the plate and across the table. My sister did a sort of slow motion dive for it, but of course, couldn't get to it in time. Sara had astutely brought her fancy schmancy camera along, and got some great shots of my mom laughing hysterically. I can't wait to see them. Sara is a total sweetheart, and Rich is a charming conversationalist. And I can say without reservation that getting a hug from Rich is like getting a tiny piece of heaven. The evening was so, so nice. Michelle! I just missed you, I'm heading up to VT tomorrow night. Going to go see Rich and hopefully inveigle our friend Kathy into performing our handfasting ceremony for us. Are you going to be up there for the weekend? Angelique! You came up in conversation several times at dinner --were your ears burning? I am leaving early Saturday. I hope Kathy accepts the mission.

Sara found a nice place that was equal driving distance for all of us. And even though, for me, that meant that the number of mountain passes I have driven through increased by two last night, I would not have missed it for the world. It was so great to see Michelle and Sara again. I had a lovely, lovely time. Oh, and hey everybody! Oh - I am so envious - how I wish I could have been there. It doesn't look like the travelin' M&Ms will be making it to VT this fall as a group, as we have in the past. But just hearing about this dinner makes me miss VT and you and Sara. M&Ms, we must make a "return to VT" plan, even if it is a year or more out. I miss you all. Absotively!!

I did it!
The Dollhouse article is off for consideration. We'll see if it's something they'll want. Keep your fingers crossed for me, OK?
I did mention that that's why I've not been around much, right?

Amy is just a Scottish delight. AND I WANT TO TALK ABOUT SATURDAY'S EPISODE (HERE ON THE BOARD) BUT I GOTTA WAIT TWO WEEKS! IT BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES!!! ARGH!
