Tonight on TV (the description made me chuckle):
Stonehenge Apocalypse 9/8c Syfy The mysterious rock structures erected at Stonehenge take a break from their usual routine of standing still and looking old to shake things up on a global scale.

Tonight on TV (the description made me chuckle): Stonehenge Apocalypse 9/8c Syfy The mysterious rock structures erected at Stonehenge take a break from their usual routine of standing still and looking old to shake things up on a global scale. With, oh gawd, Misha Collins, Torri Higginson, and a bunch of other people with fannish followings. I have a wedding to go to, thanks be. Julia, the promo is hilarious: Stonehenge is not that little ETA: Peter Wingfield! Brent Stait! How could I forget.

Hey Riff! (and be) - Anybody want to place a friendly bet on today's soccer game? Tonight's football? It's going to be an England win. I'll say 2-0. Let's hope it's better than France and Uruguay last night. A good cure for insomnia, that one.

Okay, so one of the selling points of overtime (apart from the money or the time off) is the possiblity of doing high concentration work in an environment free of extra noises and distractions. Right? Or not. The programs are all wonky and are either taking forever to process inputs or are refusing to work altogether. Oh, and our air conditioning isn't working right either and the office is heating up. Think I'll bail by 12. But OTOH-- NEW TRUE BLOOD TOMORROW NIGHT!!!

You're welcome, Riff. But I still want to go to Vermont. *sniffle*Ah, well. I'd like to go to the US full stop. Or should I say, period? *manly sniffle* Eh, say it either way. You should do a S'cubie inspired tour of the USA: Florida, Ohio, Vermont, Alabama, Tennessee, Illinois, Kansas, Texas, Washington, California, Colorado* - yes, I would say . . . even Michigan!

It is graduation weekend in this tiny town with huge University.
The traffic is extra amazing, because the main intersection leading to the graduation site is under heavy construction, with lanes blocked and such.
U-Hauls, torn sofas on the curb, grads and parents, people going the wrong way on one-way streets - ah, the sites and smells of early June.

Suck it, USA.

And, as things stand at halftime, I have to say you can play football, as well. Worst luck.
